Edwin and his team just completed our 2-week landscaping overhaul of our home and it looks fabulous! We now have a few fence, beautiful trellis for flowering vines, privacy landscaping and lots of flowers, rocks, accents, etc. Edwin and Jose were prompt, on time every day, cleaned up and completed this large project on time and in budget. We are super excited to see the new lighting tonight and neighbors are slowing down when they see our property. Thank you to Edwin, Jose and their team for our wonderful new garden! read more

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Very responsive and great communications through the process. The work was done on time, quickly and professionally. I could not be happier with my interactions with Jose and Edwin. I will use them for all my landscaping needs in the future. (PS - They even repaired and replaced a broken sprinkler head at no charge!) read more

Ararat did some landscaping work for me about 4 months ago on a sole-source basis. Their work was fast and efficient, and I selected them due largely to their reputation for high quality work. I was satisfied with the result, but felt it was overpriced. I bid out several other jobs out, and Ararat lost because of overpricing. Bottom line: If you want quality work done quickly and price is not an issue, Ararat is a good choice. For the rest, bid the job out. read more

Amazing service and results. The day after I requested a quote, I received an illustration of the garden. Edwin and Jose explained their thoughts and ideas very concisely in a productive manner, I even learned more about my own garden (e.g., how tall my holly bush should be in proportion to my house). They were also very responsive and incorporated my ideas into a beautiful garden. They provided an accurate estimate with a breakdown of the costs and worked with my budget. They installed the garden itself all in one day. Along with the garden, they installed lights for the gardens/sidewalk and helped me troubleshoot lighting issues (my wall outlet was broken so I couldn't plug them in). I am very happy with the outcome :) read more

We highly recommend Edwin & Jose. We hired them after our friends referred them to us. They refreshed our overgrown garden and installed a french drain. They were always quick to respond to us and gave a detailed estimate with pictures of what the project would look like. Once they started the job, their team was very friendly and quick (finished the project several days early!) read more

Very responsive and professional. My project was on the simpler side. Ararat provided documentation and a formal quote, but unfortunately was outside of my price range for what I had in mind. In any case, they come at a premium but are very nice to deal with. read more

These people are fantastic! I have never seen such professionalism in a small landscaping company. The redid all of our landscaping after a major tree removal. I took others advise and allowed owner to suggest what todo. He reused a lot of what I had and the result was magic! HIRE THESE PEEPS! read more

I contacted Jose on a Friday and he said he would be here on a Mon @ 9am to go over our property. He asked me to text him my address which I did. I never got a response back, but I thought because of the great reviews he was busy. I then called and texted again on Monday after he didn't show up at 9am. Unfortunately -- no response. They could have had a very lucrative contract for ongoing lawn management with potential for future growth with other properties. Looks like the quality and professionalism has gone down. read more

We recently had a pool installed and needed some landscaping done between our pool screen and fence. We were also dreading how much it would cost to re sod and fix broken sprinkler system that got destroyed during construction. Jose and Edwin came out and set our hearts at ease and really made it easy and within our budget. They were done with everything in 2 days and it was exactly what we had envisioned. I highly recommend them! For real read more

Highly recommend! They were very responsive and worked with me to create a unique design within my budget. The owner, Jose, always responded promptly to my messages, and the project lead, Edwin, was wonderful to collaborate with! Edwin draws on his keen sense for design to create a gorgeous layout for your garden. As someone who is very particular and doesn't often get my expectations met, I was pleasantly surprised to have a landscaping project exceed my expectations! Five stars for prompt responses, ability to meet (and exceed!) client expectations, and creativity in execution. I will definitely call them for future projects and recommend to anyone looking for a reliable landscaper who can create unique designs within your parameters. read more

Ararat Garden exceeded my expectations, the quality of NOT settling for the average was met. I had a vision, and we came together in making that vision tangible, hence delivering a beautiful end result. I definitely recommend Ararat Graden, and they will have me as a customer time and time again. Thank you so much Kat and Edwin. read more

Ararat Garden - Backyard complete - Landscaping Near Me

They started off great but after about two months their service quality declined. I paid for my front yard and back. They would only get the front yard and wouldn't even go into the backyard. They also stopped edging the lawn. I brought this up to the owner and he dismissed my issues, I had to keep bringing it up. I brought up that they hadn't been to my residence to perform the agreed upon service and he argued with me stating they come biweekly. I have outdoor cameras that keep feed for months, I advised him of such and guaranteed him they had not come to the residence. He did not answer me. I do not recommend this service if you are looking for professionals who will be accountable for their work or lack there of. read more

The landscaping is beautiful. They did so much more work than I expected and it looks fantastic. I just can't get over the transformation. The cost was not only affordable, I feel as though I got far more value. The work is first class, the plants are healthy and large. I am thrilled with Ararat. read more

When we decided our front yard needed xeriscaping and pretty much a total makeover we knew we needed a competent landscaping contractor who could handle a major excavation. After half a dozen quotes we decided to put our trust in Ararat Garden with our project. Many contractors can promise the world and then deliver very little! Ararat Garden is not one of those companies. They exceeded our expectations right from the beginning, starting with the initial CAD design and all the way through to the end of the project. Everything was installed exactly as per contract. Edwin went over and above to make sure everything was perfect! Edwin was well-versed in the local geography, topography and biota, including plant and tree selections, soil types, climate and wind specifics, maintenance procedures, irrigation and landscape design. I have worked with contractors professionally for over thirty years and I can honestly tell you Ararat Garden is exceptional! I wholeheartedly recommend Ararat Garden as a well-qualified, highly experienced and honest company to meet your landscape requirements. read more

The guys sure seem to know what they are doing and offered us some sound ideas for what we wanted done. Did not accept the proposal as it seemed quite high considering being a fairly small project! That's the name of that tune. read more

They no longer offer lawn care services. Neutral review just so you dont waste your time filling out their form like i did.

Thank you Edwin and Jose! It was a pleasure working with you both. I love my backyard!!

Overall, am I very satisfied with the work done by Ararat Garden. Edwin was very professional and thorough. We paid approximately $1200 for ~600 sqft area and almost another $1200 to replace our dilapidated irrigation system. Edwin was able to give an immediate quote for the sod, but not the irrigation system until the invoice was emailed prior to the work being started. Our realtor stated the quote was too high and suggested other landscapers afterwards, but we didn't mind helping a locally family owned business. There were few open seams and gaps between the patches and the house that were not filled, and they mulched an area without discussing that with me first; but it still looks nice. I received a thorough walk through of the irrigation system, but didn't receive the instruction manual for the new system as I requested. Prior to leaving, no additional lawn service(s) was offered to help maintain the lawn. That was a bit disappointing and a lost opportunity for their business. Since TruGreen periodically inquire to care for my yard, I will give the contract to them. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. My experience with Jose and Edwin was exceptional. They helped redesign my irrigation (sprinkler) system that wasn't providing adequate coverage for my yard. I was so impressed with their work that I've contracted them for a second larger landscaping project! read more

They did an amazing job with our garden and helped us reconstruct our vision. Highly recommend!

Do not use Ararat Garden for lawn service. I had sod replaced. The day of service nobody knocked on my door to say good morning and let me know they were going to start working. I just happen to go check the mail and they were in my yard. They do not use the most updated equipment. Workers manually removed old grass leading to uneven spots. No equipment to churn, treat, and level dirt before new sod is put down. The quality of the grass is poor. It died within weeks. I had them replace what the poor quality grass put down the first time. The second time it was even worse. Once again I was not notified when the replacement was put down. I wasn't home and wasn't able to view for several days, as I was away. I only paid a deposit, but still need to get the entire front yard redone. I also requested to have mulch removed with the black covering added in the area with my plants/bushes close to the house. I'm putting rocks down. The old mulch was never removed just put the black covering down. Zero pride in the quality of their work. After speaking with a friend who is a lawyer I will move forward with legal action. Please stay away. read more
