After learning that my old panel was discontinued, Alarm Grid's resources clearly explained how to upgrade to the Honeywell/Resideo PROA7PLUS ProSeries 7-inch touchscreen panel, along with adding the PROTAKEOVER module to maintain compatibility with my existing Honeywell 5800 Series wireless sensors. I ordered both the panel and module and received them in just five days with free shipping. Installation was straightforward thanks to Alarm Grid's step-by-step YouTube videos. I did initially have trouble configuring my window and door sensors, but after realizing they needed to be set to "Service 2" in the programming, all my 5816 sensors worked perfectly. I have not been able to reach ANYONE who could help with my ADT Solar. Last month we had a storm…read morethat knocked my enphase system out and it appears as if the solar has not been functioning since at least then. I've tried everything to get in touch with someone at your "ADT SOLAR" customer service (which doesn't exist). I am having to hire outside solar repairmen out of pocket because ADT NO LONGER HONORS THE CONTACT I HAVE WITH YOU. It is now common knowledge. that ADT has SCAMMED and DEFRAUDED thousands of ADT Solar customers by BREACH OF CONTRACT. This is my latest attempt to get SOMEONE at ADT to actually respond to me concerning this. ADT Solar assumed my contract from SunPro Solar. I've only had solar for a little over 5 years (of the 25 year contract with you) and I come to find out this month that ADT has turned it's back on all it's solar customers. This is unacceptable and I would expect more from ADT. Someone from ADT needs to contact me ASAP concerning this situation. The contract is legally binding and my solar problems need to be resolved asap. I've already emailed your "alwaysthere@adt.com" with NO RESPONSE so your words MEAN NOTHING. 1 Star I am beyond…read morefrustrated with ADT and the terrible service I've received. I have scheduled four separate service appointments, and not a single one resolved my issues. During the first appointment, I was told the technician had come to my home, but no one ever arrived. For the second appointment, the technician showed up without the necessary equipment to fix my system and blamed customer service for the mistake. During the third appointment, another technician also arrived without the required equipment and explained that he was only filling in for someone who had called out. Then, during the fourth appointment, the technician never showed up at all. Meanwhile, ADT has no problem taking my payment on the 20th of every month, yet my equipment remains unrepaired. My touchscreen is broken, my Google base station doesn't work, and one of my smoke detectors is not functioning. It is unacceptable to continue charging customers while repeatedly failing to provide the service they are paying for. At this point, it feels like ADT is stealing my money. Every month they continue to charge me, but they have repeatedly failed to provide the service I'm paying for or repair my equipment after four scheduled appointments. I feel completely let down, misled, and taken advantage of as a customer. I am furious that after four appointments my security system is still not working properly, and I am seriously considering canceling my service and switching to a company that actually values its customers and stands behind its products and services.
