My vehicle was vandalized and the insurance company said it wasn't worth saving. Long story short the vehicle became a salvage and I needed to have a lights & system check to get the vehicle approved at the DMV. Most auto repair/ smog stations do not provide this service. Trust Auto Repair is certified to do this service. I came in with no appointment and they took me right in. The car passed and TRUST AUTO provided me the PASS paperwork and the DMV processed the paperwork. The price was $200, standard for this service. I am always a little uneasy going to an unfamiliar car place, but everyone was polite and I do give them my stamp of approval. read more

Outstanding service! I took my 2018 Tahoe to Fred to do a pre check before I purchased it and he found a fuel fault and was able to fix the problem. Dont take your vehicle anyway else as these guys are the best when it comes to auto repair! And have them do a 40 point pre check for your vehicle you are considering buying! read more

Trust Auto Repair and Body Works is the most efficient, trusted, and optimal auto repair shop in the area. Fred, the owner, and his team were super knowledgeable, skillful, and experienced. Me and my family have taken 5 cars to Trust and they always provided excellent service and repairs over the years. They won't overcharge you and have been the only trustworthy mechanics I have ever used. I recently messed up and brought my car to another mechanic out of weekend convenience, and I paid big for that mistake. I brought my car back to Trust and they fixed my car right away with a smile. Trust uses quality parts and will have your car ready in good time. You won't regret bringing your car here. Trust is truly a business I trust. read more

I have never written a review before, but omg this shop is amazing. I needed my side passenger mirror fixed as it was cracked and Mike answered all my questions efficiently and he gave me the best price. Everyone was quoting me about $1,000 which is way over priced and Mike did it for less than a fraction of that price and it's brand mirror as if never ever happened. Not only that, but it did not take long to get fixed thank god for shops like yours I will forever go to you if I need something fixed. read more

My car needed an a/c compressor and relay switch replaced and I'm new to the San Diego area. I went to three mechanic shops for a repair estimate. Trust Auto Repair beat the price of the others. The shop had the car repaired in one day and showed me all the old parts replaced. The other shops would not guarantee compressor replacement in one day. I told Mike that he just earned my loyalty for all my car repairs. read more

I had a great experience with this shop getting a full clutch replacement on my Evo X. Mike was quick with an estimate, friendly, up front and I feel like I can trust him. They got the car in late on a Saturday, and got the clutch replaced before 5:00 on Tuesday. Not bad for a job this extensive and needing to order parts. My final price ended up being less than quoted and I was never pressured to replace unrelated parts. Trust auto was not the lowest quote but by the end of the job were right there with the best priced shops and I doubt I would have received the same service and piece of mind elsewhere. The car is driving smoothly and I'm confident I can take it back without any fuss if I have any issues. Mike had recommended another tow company but I ended up using ASAP towing who quoted me one price and charged a higher when they arrived saying that I hadn't informed them my car was AWD when I had. I wish I would have used the tow company Mike recommended. I really do highly recommend Trust Auto. read more

went for brake and light check, failed me in five minutes, reluctantly gave me $50 of 125 back, wouldn't promise to put towards reinspection. Didn't even finish inspection of brakes once realized one wheel had a leaky seal. Got it fixed myself then went to Jess Harris instead, only $90 and guaranteed pass or no cost. read more

THE ABSOLUT BEST. are you kidding me, why is anyone going any place else. Honesty, integrity, fair prices. How can anyone else measure up to these guys! They help you and don't try to sell you things you don't need. They have been around longer than anyone else for a reason, they do better than good work. Do yourself a favor and just build a relationship with this place. They are like family. I have been taking all my cars here for longer than you have been born. My kids now take their cars, and their kids will too. I don't' know anyone else that can turn a sad situation into a happy one like this place. All my friends have stopped going anywhere else, you should too. I am not joking, they are that fair and good. You can't say that about most repair places. read more

Mike runs a great shop and is an honest mechanic. I've been taking my company's vans to him for years.

Excellent service and the absolutely best mechanic I have seen or ever used. Michael (owner) is a top notch mechanic and his shop is really far above and beyond all other shops I have ever used for my car (older Nissan Murano).. Michael is extremely knowledgeable and always seeks solutions that have saved me money over 3 trips I have used. He always recommends the lowest cost solutions for me and takes the time to explain why. He is in a small circle of the finest businesses I have ever known that really have the customers interest at heart. read more

The air conditioning in my car went out a few days ago, and I called and spoke with Mike the owner who surprisingly made himself available to look at my car the following day, on a Saturday..I was surprised as there regular days of business are M-F.. My husband and I arrived at the shop, and Mike promptly diagnosed the problem, a leaking hose. What I really was impressed with was his openness and transparency by showing my husband where the leak was by doing a leak test in his presence. Mike ordered the hose needed and the car was ready to go within a couple of hours. The price was very reasonable. Mike is a helluva nice guy as well as honest and trustworthy...I highly recommend! read more

The gentleman who greeted me was extremely polite. Fred worked with me on deciding what actually needed to be painted on my little 1999 truck. We decided together that painting the cab would give me the look I hoped for without breaking my budget. When I picked up the truck exactly 8 days later, it looked beautiful. The cab matched the existing paint perfectly. I was glad I went with the new headlights he suggested, which were worked into the very reasonable price. I highly recommend these guys for a quality paint job at a reasonable price. read more
