Told me if you want to save money pack as much of it as you can and we'll pack what's left. We packed up 90% of the house. There packers came to my house weeks later to finish and was there for 1.5 hours and charged me $850.00. After the move the price was $800 more than what was quoted to me because they said we were 3000# over the estimated weight price. I can see being off by 1000# but 3000#? When I contacted the "franchise manager" Chris of the Garner, NC office, he told me he would look into it. Waiting for his reply verbally never came. A week later I received an email from him basically saying " tough shit" and he charged my credit card. The balance of the move with the additional $800. What better way to get your business. They give you the cheapest quote and charge you a deposit then after the move is done they tell you your weight is more than they said it was. That goes for the packing portion also. If they would have packed my entire 2300 sq ft house how do they come up with $1500-2000 quote? It would have taken them at least 4 more hours to pack the whole house and would have been much more than quoted. These guys under quote there prices to get your business. When they do the job the price is considerably higher. Go with someone else. What is the purpose of a virtual walk thru when it means nothing to the final bill? They spent many time on packing our furniture carefully and we have many smaller stuff as well, so it took longer than we expected. We suggest to give a closer estimated time next time. They installed furniture quickly and we generally satisfied with their hard work. Johnny and his team, Travis and James, showed up on time and were both personable and very efficient with their work. They were careful with all the pieces (there were some older pieces of furniture that needed to be handled with care). In one case a bolt & washer unscrewed from the stand they had been on, but they found them on the truck for us. They were also very fast with both the loading and unloading of the truck which was great since we all had to drive back to the Triangle from Charlotte. Overall it was a pleasure working with Johnny, Travis & James. I would highly recommend them if anyone is looking for a moving company in the Triangle.
