Worst restaurant experiences. Manager was so rude. Took our drinks back before we had finished them, asked us to move to the bar as soon as they took our dinner plates and we wanted to order dessert. Food was decent but burned myself on the plate. Tried to ask for water multiple times. Was in and out in 25 minutes because they obviously didn't want us there. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to try truk't for about a year. I'm glad we finally went. All of the food was very tasty. We started with the mango habanero guacamole and chips. It was a little spicy in a good way. We each ordered 3 street tacos. The Brussels sprouts taco was my favorite. The fish taco might have been but there was only one small piece of fish. All of the tacos were very small with only one corn tortilla per taco. I got a margarita which only came on the rocks. It was so strong I couldn't even finish it. The open atmosphere was so fun until our food was served. The flies seemed to swarm! The service was good! Although the food was good, there are a few better options for Mexican food in Beloit. Spent one night in Beloit and tried truk't. The stuffed jalapeños and grilled Brussell sprouts were delicious as our appetizers. We each had a salad- I had the mango and my brother had the chopped. Both were excellent. We don't drink so I cannot comment on the tequila but the ice tea was fresh and many refills were provided. Thank you! Seated immediately and service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere here is on point! Very beautiful, and the garage style doors on the sides of the building will be really awesome in the summer. The portions are on the small side but the flavor is big and the drinks are also very good. read more

VILE! If your thinking about heading to Truk't, I'd recommend googling a slightly higher end choice such as roller Taquitos at the Mobile Station or deli at Walmart. Dinner time and we had audacity to order...chips and salsa. No chips...huh?!?! Super nice waiter was embarrassed and said they would be ready in about 30 minutes. We should have run to 7-11 and bought some Cool Ranch Doritos. So, order 5 tacos. All came out quick (must have had time on their hands since they didn't have to run chips around) except Peking Duck taco. Duck taco came out about 20 minutes later. Based on amount of Hoisin sauce on the taco, they must have killed the duck by drowning it in the sauce. Again, super nice waiter apologized and said it was on the house. Can't confirm it was on the "on the house", but, it was, on the bill. Off to Taco Bell for higher end tacos. read more

Overall, This restaurant has great potential,but it is pricey & has small portions. The drinks are to die for, got the "Couple, Two, Three", which is a smoked bourbon.Then for an appetizer, we got the elotes, & these were the best I had ever had! However, it was a very small portion, like half of a corn on the cob for I believe $7-8. The tacos were so-so. They're gourmet, but some of the choices are definitely off the wall. LOVED the carribean shrimp tacos, the flavors melted together perfect. Was not a fan of the kimchi tacos because for me, kimchi and tacos don't clash too well. ONE taco is 4$. We had the fried cod taco and the shrimp taco, I think they're all really simple over priced tacos and the flavor wasn't worth the price... & to only have one Brussel sprout vegetarian taco for people that don't eat meat is lame. Tacos are on the small tortillas(about the size of my palm) & served on a baking tray, the tortillas need to be cooked longer as well...no one likes a tasteless soft tortilla. We ordered the chips and salsa.. it was not spicy and the Smokey flavor was too much so the chips and salsa were mostly wasted. Definitely was hoping for a more flavorful money worth it experience for the sizes. Probably won't be back other than to try a margarita sometime. read more

Truk't greatly exceeded my expectations. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was very relaxed and i loved that both sides of the restaurant were opened to the outside. (Yes, the walls of the restaurant were raised, literally opening the restaurant ti the outside.) The food was great, filling and fresh. We will definitely go again. read more

So we went here for a private party so it may be different for lunch or dinner. But the party was great. The food was amazing. I had port tacos with lots of toppings and then chips and salsa. So yummy! The bar area was super cute as well. I got the house margarita which was really good but very strong. Which can and can't be a good thing lol! But I would for sure go back for dinner! read more

If I was judging this place by the service it'd have 5+ stars, I wish I'd gotten her name because she deserves credit for being so sweet, but this review is mainly about food, so for her- one star. We only got appetizers & didn't want to try any further because we were not impressed, at all. The queso dip was soooo oily(damn close to 1/3 a cup that I spooned out on the side of the tray & there still a ton left in the bowl), I thought I had snapped a picture of it to show you guys but it's not in my camera roll so i must not have saved it when the waitress came & asked how everything was & could see I was not impressed. She then suggested the nachos with a side of guacamole, but the queso for the nachos was oddly sweet & I wasn't a fan. My bf got the jal poppers & again neither of us were impressed. He also got "the prospector" or something along the lines of that for his cocktail & that was pretty good, so that earned another star. Id go back for drinks, maybe. Terrible service it took them 30 minutes just to greet us at our table and another 20 to get our order in . The waitress forgot about us multiple times and it took them another 30 minutes to get our food . Not only did that happen but our drinks to forever as well because they forgot to make our order . The only reason I give 3 as opposed to 1 is the quality of the food. The food is really phenomenal, and they've figured out a price point that makes sense. Unfortunately, again and again I go and am subjected to some of the worst service ever. They're so used to trying to smooth things over, they have an appetizer they immediately offer for free. Before anyone is upset with me to complain about lousy service during the times of COVID, it was no different before this. Also, I don't blame the staff at all! Not a super big menu, but they are upfront about that. Everything we had was good-- 4 tacos and Brussels sprouts. Everything was fresh! The drinks was awesome. There are about 50 tequilas to choose from, then you just add $4 to make it a margarita. read more

We were told it would be a 30 min wait for a table and we would be receiving a text when the table was ready. We came back after 45 mins of no text and we walked in and saw 3 empty tables in the middle. We were told it would be another 15-20 mins due to they just texted someone else and had to wait to see if they showed up. If you have customers there ready to sit down and order food they should be able to when you have 3 tables available. Really bad service just from the host station. We will not be coming back at all. This place should be called Truk't Tequila & Whiskey, with the mention of tacos omitted. The food did not seem like the primary focus of the establishment at all (and this was during lunch time). They offer a small menu of apps, nine tacos, and occasional specials. I'm not sure about dessert... Anyway, I ordered the elote corn as an app. It definitely would have been better if it was fresh corn. It was painfully obvious that it was frozen corn on the cob... YUCK! We also ordered the baja fish taco and duck taco. Both were good, but I've definitely had better. If the menu offerings changed, I would consider going back. Until that time, I don't have much interest in going back. I will say that this is a great addition for a small town like Beloit, but in any big city in America this restaurant probably wouldn't fare very well. If you are looking for amazing tacos and an extensive menu, I would suggest driving a bit further north to Whitewater. There is an amazing restaurant there in the middle of downtown that serves street tacos and more--best I've had in Wisconsin! read more

The food was good but the portions were small. I would suggest that they double up on there taco shell as they fell apart very easy. Every thing was A la carte, the salsa was very good but once again small portions. I will go back and try it again. read more

Meh. Tacos are ok and really over priced for their size. When the lime wedge is the size of your taco then you know you are leaving hungry. If they offered a side of rice or beans for $2-$3 then that would maybe make a bit better.. it's a good idea, idk how they get repeat customers though. read more

This place really impressed me. Yes, smaller "street tacos" for regular taco prices, but they're extremely tasty and filled generously! Best homemade corn tortillas that don't split underneath the weight of the fillings. They also have my absolute favorite margarita and my new fav the cranberry margarita. Hope that sticks on the menu permanently. This place blows Taco Betty's out of the water both in quality and quantity. As I said, prices are a tad steep and it seems to take forever to get drinks or this place gets a fiver from me! read more

The atmosphere is cool and laid back. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was very good. We had the fish taco, Korean bbq taco, shrimp curry, Brussels sprouts and potatoes taco, the Brussel sprouts with the garlic aoli. The presentation of the food was well done. Our only complaint is the price of the food. $4/a taco is a bit absurd. We saw one couple walk in, sit down, look at the menu then left. The day we went there were not very many people there even though it was a Saturday around lunch (1pm) and the burger place just a half a block away was a 25 minute wait. yummy, yummy! The cilantro cucumber margarita started off a marvelous lunch. Next up was the spicy pineapple guac with pepitas, radish and jicama pieces to get the taste buds zinging. I then ordered 3 of the street tacos and can not decide which was the favorite. Pork belly with poached egg, Korean BBQ meat or Hoisin Duck. Wow, all of them had their own flavor sensation.
