Great music playing in the background set the mood, songs like Knock Three Times and Song Sung Blue by Neil Diamond. The lady who helped me place my order, possibly the owner, was so sweet. Patient too, as I made my selections. It was hard to choose what to get as the shop has so many appetizing sweet and savory options on the menu. I ended up getting a chocolate milkshake and a 6-pack of oatmeal cookies I was able to take home and share, including chocolate chip (no nuts), chocolate walnut, peanut butter dark chocolate cashew, dark chocolate pecan, dark chocolate cashew, and oatmeal raisin with pecans (they have a nut-free version too). The taste of everything was phenomenal. The shake had the perfect consistency and a strong chocolatey flavor, yet wasn't too sweet. And the cookies were nice and chewy and loaded with delicious chunks of nuts and chocolate. Honestly, I couldn't really tell the difference between the nut and chocolate combo flavors as the oatmeal was really the highlight. The peanut butter one and oatmeal raisin were more recognizable. ALL of them were amazing!

Ordering is done at the back, and the tables up front make the perfect spot to sit, relax, and chat while enjoying your treats. Their menu is seriously impressive, with everything from coffee, smoothies, tea, and handspun milkshakes to savory lunch items like burgers, hot dogs, and wings, plus an incredible lineup of baked goodies including cookies, pie, cupcakes, cake pops, macarons, muffins, and more. I tried the sugar‑free dark chocolate goji berry gluten‑free cookie and WOW--it was delicious. The milkshakes are next‑level rich and creamy; my son couldn't get enough of his caramel shake. The savory lunch items looked so good coming out--perfect comfort‑food options that smelled amazing and made us immediately start planning our next visit. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and patient, which we really appreciated since it was our first time and we took a while to decide. This place has such a fun, cozy, welcoming vibe, and we are absolutely coming back to try the lunch menu next time. Highly recommend checking it out!

I recently had to be in the downtown Glendale area - the Yelp machine recommended I hit up Blue Corn Cafe. There's some development / construction in the downtown area so parking is a little limited. However - I was able to snag a spot right along 58th Ave and get a good view of all the cute shops to check out at a later date. Blue Corn was surprisingly busy that morning due to hosting a Coffee with Cops event. I got the low down from a few of the GPD staff that they are consistently rated as one of the best cafes in the city, maybe even the West Valley. They have recently-ish opened up a second location in DT Mesa, which definitely fits their vibe. I was told the owner gets up early every day to bake - I love the dedication to his craft. Like many mom and pops, there are times when quantities are limited. So ofc I had to buy some baked goods to go for my work team! Their muffins are HUGE - like 2 -3 servings per *singular* muffin. I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought 6... hello carb heaven for us. I noticed a lot of sweet and savory options - croissant sandwiches, cookies, you name it. Definitely the muffins were well-enjoyed by all (PSL, lemon-blueberry, red velvet), and the general consensus was lemon blueberry as the winner. It's a small space with not a lot of seating options however there appears to be a back patio that might be shared with other restaurants. I couldn't get a view on my way out. Cannot wait for the next time that I'm in the area to grab more sweets!

I had about a two-hour break during a track…read moremeet and noticed a small line forming outside this bakery in downtown Glendale--so I decided to go on a little adventure. This was my first stop, and I'm so glad it was. The café itself is absolutely charming--spacious, clean, and with plenty of seating. But what stood out immediately was the customer service. From the moment I walked in, everyone was smiling. You can tell this is a team that genuinely enjoys what they do. Despite the line, they were patient, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Their coffee selection is wide but not overwhelming. . I went with the matcha latte with pistachio, which was well-balanced. When it came to food, I couldn't decide between my usual go-to (broccoli and cheese quiche) or the bacon, spinach, and cheddar--or even the tomato basil, which sounded amazing. I asked the barista/ server to choose for me, and she recommended the bacon, spinach, and cheddar. It did not disappoint. The crust was thick and perfectly done, and the filling was layered and flavorful--just incredible. I also ordered an ube muffin and was given a complimentary lemon tart (no complaints here!). The ube muffin was exactly what you'd hope for--lightly sweet with a delicate blend of vanilla, nutty notes, and a hint of coconut. The lemon tart was perfectly balanced--bright, slightly tart, and complemented beautifully by the whipped topping. Before leaving, I grabbed a loaf of sourdough to go. They even offered to slice it for me--small detail, big win. And I have to say, coming from San Francisco, I do not say this lightly: this is hands-down some of the best sourdough I've had outside of San Francisco. Honestly worth the 45-minute drive just for that alone. I come from a background in the restaurant industry, and great service doesn't go unnoticed. Everyone here was attentive, kind, and truly invested in the experience they provide. The customer service alone is worth the visit. They so offer Panini's and daily soups.. Their menu changes daily. They also offer Louisiana hot sauce so someone knows what they're doing. I can't wait to bring my kids here next time. We will absolutely be back.

Walking up I noticed all these adorable decorations, white picket fence and lovely tea party set ups! I went here with a group of 16 lovely ladies, we sat outside on the patio and it was great, the service was wonderful, the servers were so helpful and on top of everything! They offer cute hats to wear along with gloves to dress up a bit more! Super cute touch! The decor inside was great from princess style, to Wizard of Oz, and everything in between is cute and girlie! It's a great place for parties for people are young and seasoned! We got to smell all the teas they offer so we got to pick three out of the great selection! So we picked the chai, the apple caramel, and the mango peach green tea. Everyone loved them. My favorite was the apple caramel! Their little mini sandwiches were delicious. All of the treats were great. The salad was very fresh! Honestly, from start to finish it was a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend trying this place out. It's like stepping into a whole other world!

Tea: 2/5 The tea itself was not strong enough for me. It was watery and very bland. This was disappointing considering it's a tea house. Service: 4/5 The waiter was attentive and kind. He followed up with us afterwards and invited us to upcoming events at the tea house. Ambiance: 6/5 This house looked like it was straight from a museum. Don't let the small space fool you. There were vintage trinkets, dolls, decor, and knock knacks on every corner of the house. There was even a wall where Disney Princess decor for the little ones to enjoy. There is a bin with hats to wear to feel extra fancy. Outside the house on the front porch, there is a photo opp with a royal throne and booth where you can take pictures. Overall, this tea house is a one in a kind experience. The food is delicious and the ambiance is whimsical. The tea was mediocre at best. But it's still with a visit.
