The store looked just like the one I used to visit with my Mom and Aunts in the 1940's. Small, black and white with immaculate tile and smiling staff in white uniform and Mary Sees picture on the wall. Candies on display looking uniform and mouth watering! Everything the same including the offer of a free sample. Peefect, right? Made my planned purchases of boxed mixed chocolates and left very nostalgic and happy. I opened one of the boxes today. Before I planned to and was so disappointed ! The candy was no longer uniform perfection. The creams weren't soft, the toffees were small and not uniformed squares. The marzipan, which was usually included was no longer present. The taste was what I would describe as stale. So very very disappointed. I've never been upset with the rising price since the quality was consistent. I know my Sees candy, would not even eat "common" chocolate as a young child. I miss your quality and wonderful taste so much! I am going to give the boxes I bought as gifts, but I will not be buying pre boxed See's candy again. So sad, but thank you for wonderful memories and past deliciousness. read more

I was so disappointed after visiting this Sees candy shop. The employee Dalaila was so very rude to my daughter and I. My daughter has a learning disability and she takes a little extra time to make her decision at times. This employee kept telling us we need to wait when my daughter was trying to pick her candy. Then after we were done she refused to give us a "sample" candy which is everyone's favorite part of visiting a Sees shop. A long time ago, in a land far away, a little girl's favorite part about visiting the mall was getting a sample of See's candy. That little girl in me is all grown up, but she still gets excited to by See's Candy. My last purchase was a box of assorted dark chocolate. Chocolate is smooth. While dark, the chocolate is not super bitter. Fillings are well proportioned. I love that the box has a mix of nuts, chews and creamy centers. They make for a nice little treat now and again. See's also has special candies for special occasions. These chocolates make a great gift. More than chocolate there are classics such as lemon drops, brittles and licorice. They also have unique candies. Their lollipops come in chocolate, latte, butterscotch and vanilla. Lollipops even come in minni and sugar free. Sometimes there are even cinnamon lollipops. read more

I have the fondest memories of See's Candy from childhood...yeah yeah, the olden days lol. Anyways, today while waiting for my cars windshield to be replaced a friend and I went over to Park West for some treats. I was pleased to see See's open so early. When I was a kid whenever we went to the Mall with my Dad he'd take us in to get a sample and buy us our favorite suckers, mine was butterscotch and still is. I picked up quite a few other flavors as well. I really like their cafe latte one as well. I bought a few dark chocolate seat salt caramels too. I had a nice little chat with the woman working. She was so friendly and made it easy. She even let me know they are bringing a rootbeer flavor sucker to the store soon. I'll definitely have to go back and try it. Holy chocolate! Okay, it's been a while since I have set foot in See's Candies. Grandma loved their chocolates so I remember eating them frequently when I was younger. The hubs and I were Christmas shopping and wanted a quick sweet. See's was the spot. It's located off Northern West of the 101 and easy to find when you pull in and across from Bath and Body works. We were greeted with a smile and offered a sample which we happily ate lol There is lots of things for stocking stuffers little chocolate coins, Santas, candy canes, boxes of chocolates. We also wanted a few chocolates so we stared at all the options and picked a few out. It's I think $22 for a pound of chocolate. The chocolate is delicious. The store is clean, organized, the staff is so friendly and everything we got tasted amazing! I am sure we will make a stop again soon when the chocolate need is there! read more

They made the biggest mistake by using an unreliable point of sale credit card system on Valentines Day, as it kept going out on them leaving an irritated crowd waiting to pay for their chocolates. Beware when you place a pickup order. Customer service is trash. The ladies don't change their gloves between boxing chocolate's & handling the register. Once you get to the shop, the lady will not give you your order until she's had you stand in line for 45 mins; after serving everyone to give you an order already paid for. Personal Service... It does exist. You will never have to ask for samples at See's Candy, however you can pig there something special you want to taste . The samples aren't the small typical sample sizes.. They are the full size chocolates. I always manage to have a few chocolates before I make my choices on what to buy. The chocolates are sold by weight and can be ship anywhere. See's offers speciality items at different times of the year. Be sure stop in for a visit when you want a sweet treat. You will be very pleased with the high quality. In fact their motto is "Quality without compromise". The service at See's is outstanding, the staff is very friendly and very helpful. Who could say anything bad about some of the best chocolate in US. We have been going to one Sees candy or another for over 30 years. They have always treated me well. Their place is always very clean and neat. (I tried to use a fancy word for very clean but my spell check failed to understand what I wanted). I know you are not supposed to feed a dog chocolate, but we had a dog about 15 years ago that would not eat anything but Sees. She would ignore any chocolate but Seas. When we go back east we always take about 10 boxes of Seas to our relatives. They always look forward to the Seas. Easy place to shop. You can get a box already made up and they have many different boxes to chose from or you can have them make a box up for you of all your favorites. So many choices. Go see them. Usually they give you a piece of candy while you are in the store. If you are lucky you may get two. read more

I've shopped at See's since living in California and never have I experienced such consistent service and such a personal touch ever than this location. Katelyn is a delight and even when I watched a difficult customer give her a hard time she kept her composure and turned the situation around. It was a delight to watch! I was waiting in line with MY mask on with my two year old that i nanny for, i was denied access to even get into the store if she didn't wear mask. It's beyond me how this establishment has a five star rating. I just left the store empty-handed after intending to spend over $200 on several boxes of chocolate I needed for an award's ceremony at work. I might add that I go to Grimaldis, just a few stores down, at least three times a week, and often stop in to Sees Candies for something to bring home to the kids. Without fail, I enter the store, always in the afternoons, to one...only one worker behind the counter, who is always busy with two or three customers in front of me. Today, I waited, and waited, and waited to be helped by the poor woman at the counter who was trying to help a 93 year-old woman pick out chocolates, one by one, for her husband. After waiting for over 30 minutes, and realizing that the woman behind the counter was the only person on duty, I walked out, went to Walgreens, and spent my money there. I'm speaking to the owner here--I'm sure you think you're saving money by staffing your store with only one employee, but I want you to consider how much business you are losing to all the customers who routinely have to wait an inordinate amount of time to get service. I've seen more than a few people walk out of this location in utter frustration at the time it takes to get service. I'm absolutely disgusted, but I'll tell you something--I'm going to continue to stop by this store and see if the owner takes this complaint seriously and starts staffing his store adequately. Nobody should have to wait thirty minutes or more to purchase a box of chocolates. read more
