They took really thorough care of my dogs. One of them likes to bite strangers who are standing up, and the vet sat on the floor with them so they weren't nervous and didn't know they were being examined. They explain the costs of medicine and tests before doing them, which is also really nice. Their fees were reasonable from what I'm used to (but I'm from the east coast so I'm used to really high vet costs). What I think is reasonable and what someone from the area thinks is reasonable might not be the same thing. I also liked that they use email to communicate. Finally, they were able to get a mistake corrected on my dog's rabies certificate by contacting her last vet - this meant she didn't get a shot she didn't need, and I'm grateful for that. The office was reasonably clean, and didn't smell bad. The staff were all super friendly, and I felt like they cared about my dogs. read more

After 10 years as a client, True Veterinary Care just refused to fill a prescription for my dog's insulin - life-sustaining medication - because I haven't scheduled an annual wellness check appointment. Despite the fact that my dog has had 9 appointments in the last year due to diabetes care and other issues. I have spent $3,726 at True Veterinary in the last few years. And they cut me off from prescription insulin, without which my dog will die. Imminently. This is like extortion: pay up $300 for another "wellness check," even though he has been examined 9 times in the past year. Criminal. I trusted this vet with my dog's life and they have prioritized profit over his very survival. read more

Best Veterinary Clinic I have ever been to! My cat Zuli Marie has been a patient for about 6 years. She is very calm and content at this clinic she loves all the staff which is rare! (She is a very discerning kitty) I wouldn't think of going anywhere else even though there are closer places it's worth the short drive to Verona from Middleton read more

Today my girl needed to get some care for a hot spot that popped up yesterday and grew so quickly. The staff was very attentive to my messages and were able to squeeze her in. Dr Sarah cleaned it up, discussed options and what she recommended. When she had a problem a week ago with her GI tract, they were responsive in helping me with that as well. Dr. Jacki prescribed meds and listened to what Payton has taken before. She was very understanding about the fact that Payton is a thin girl and simply does not gain weight.....no judging (when we went for our initial check up). She also saw our cat, Sylvie, for a wellness check and meds. Sylvie can be a bit of a queen at times, but the staff said she was good. Last fall, my guy was not doing well, I wanted to let him be pain free without having to prove he was ready....I knew. We moved here not all that long ago and I was looking for a good fit for us. I called True Vet, explained what was going on and what I felt. They were so understanding. When we arrived they had all the treats he could ever want, but could or should not have. He was in heaven eating them. Dr Amelia was patient and listened to me babble on about my guy. I truly can not say enough about how wonderful the doctors and staff are. I never thought I would find a clinic like we had before moving to the Madison area. read more

We love Dr. Jackie and her team! They are really kind, thorough, and friendly with our anxious pup. They are detailed in information and explain everything clearly on billing. The facility is clean and their staff are all very warm. Would definitely recommend! read more

I love this Veterinarian sooo much!!! They have been unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable with our dogs. We've been to both Sarah and Jackie and they have spent so much time and given our dogs so much attention, we feel as if we are really important to them. I genuinely feel as if they love my dogs almost as much as I do! They always charge us fairly as well and give us discounts when possible or tell us when things aren't necessary. I almost hate to write this review because it might be harder to get it with them. lol read more

We came here because it was conveniently located but we stayed for the top notch service. I texted them a picture of my cat's eye that she wouldn't open all the way. They got back to me quickly and set up an appointment that day. They sent me home with eye drops and texted me the next day checking on her. They always tell me my cats are sweet and seem to really care about the animals. Once I dropped off my cats and they let me run some errands during their appointment. They seem pretty careful about covid. I love that I can get quality care so quickly for my pets. read more

Wow! I don't know what to say other than WOW. I just took my pup in for her first visit. She got so much wonderful attention, treats, and soo much love! Plus I got tons of information, advice, and encouragement. Not only that, but the price was so right. I was expecting to pay at least a bit more than I did. These folks are amazing, and I look forward to them being there for my pup! read more

Spectacular! Dr. Sarah and her team are remarkable. They love their patients. Most important is that our pups always enjoy their visit. Hugs, belly rubs and treats. This is the BEST vet you will find. read more

True Veterinary Care - ...the exam rooms have windows! - Veterinarians Near Me - Verona, Wisconsin

Love, love, love this place! I found them through the boarding facility I used to work at. One of our long term clients used them and we were so impressed we started recommending them to clients new to the area. I was perfectly content with the vet I was using (I believe I actually wrote them a positive review as well on here) but had to make the switch to Dr. Sarah. She is one of the most genuinely kind and compassionate people I have ever met. She truly cares for the well being of each and every pet she sees. She knows they are our family and treats them as such. I have an older guy who is staring to show his age. No real problems yet, just slowing down , having the most trouble with his back legs. On our first visit, Dr. Sarah spent at least an hour with us (probably close to an hour an a half) getting to know my pup, and listening to each and every concern and observation I had about him. She made a few recommendations, and brought up a specialist we could see for pain management and getting him to use the muscles in his back legs properly, but absolutely was not pushy about anything. She gave us a few simple exercises we could do at home, and even though she carries the supplement I already had him on, told me the cheapest place to get them is on Amazon. They have also always been able to get me in whenever I call. Same day or a few days in advance have never been a problem. We are always greeted and taken back to an exam room immediately where we talk with the vet tech about his basics, and then Dr. Sarah joins us. The time spent in the waiting room is nonexistent and the time spent in the exam room after the vet tech has left, but before Dr. Sarah comes in is minuscule. I am getting a bit long winded, but I really can't say enough positive things about Dr. Sarah and her staff. I moved about 6 months ago to the East side, which makes the drive over to Verona about 30 or 40 minutes depending on traffic, but I wouldn't dream of switching. Totally worth the drive, as long as I'm in the Madison area, I will never go anywhere else! read more

This is a beautiful spacious new veterinary clinic in Verona. Dr. Sarah is a very knowledgeable and compassionate vet, who relates well to people and animals. Her staff is friendly and helpful. They answer your questions and don't rush you during appointments. They are considerate of a pet owner's budgetary limitations. I highly recommend them! read more

I moved to Madison from Michigan and was really nervous about finding a new vet as I loved my previous vet in Michigan so much. On the first visit, that fear completely went away. True Veterinary Care is absolutely wonderful. They are great with my cats and my dog. The staff are all very friendly, the vet is absolutely wonderful and very thorough. The second you arrive, they have an exam room waiting, and your pets are seen right away. They always follow up when your pet goes on medication, has a surgery, receives treatment for anything, they text the next day and ask how everything is going. To me this demonstrates just how much they care about your pets and how dedicated they are to ensure that everything is going well for the animals they provide care for. The building, rooms, etc. are all very clean and look new. My cats actually enjoy hanging out in the exam rooms because they get catnip toys that they get sent home with! They also get lots of cuddles from all the staff members! They are always very thorough and ensure that we find a solution for whatever issue I come in with for my cats and dog. They always have great products that they recommend (that WORK), however, they are wonderful about not forcing products on you (and will even tell you, "you are more than welcome to think about it and come back another time if you want it!") so you never feel pressured. My kitten was just neutered today by True Veterinary Care, they sent me a text update as soon as it was done and even sent a photo of him snuggling with Dr. Sarah. I was able to pick my kitten up shortly after and everything went extremely well. I feel that they are very affordable. I just graduated university last year, but never fear having to take my animals in because I feel the prices are extremely affordable and reasonable, and for the care that they are providing and you are receiving... I don't think you could find a better vet! So glad we found True Veterinary Care. read more

Dr. Sarah Kalstrup and her staff are really, really remarkable, and I say that having "vet shopped" a few practices over the years and having grown up in a vet's home and practice. Dr. Sarah has proven to be a skilled diagnostician who is up on current research - and her great listening paired with her knowledge has made life better for my dog and, in turn, me too. Quality matters. Two other vet practices had only patchwork answers for my buddy and just treated his symptoms. Dr. Sarah asked the right questions, applied new research and hit on a perfect care plan for my buddy. Simply better. This is a very special small practice. Even the techs are unusually good, and I'd bet they were terrific students too. My take: True will work *with* you to find solutions. They've helped me balance in cost the best they can, and have pushed for my pet's good health instead of just pushing something only to please me, or worse, whatever will make them the most money. I wish you could say that about all vets! Dr Sarah's values just add to her obvious caring and skill. Her equipment and building are top notch too. I LOVE this place, and thanks to her techs, so does my dog. Her prices are in line with other vets, so don't look for bargain basement pricing, just a fair price for way, way above average knowledge and care. That is a true deal. read more

Dr Kalstrup and her staff are wonderful. The office is modern and soothing to the visitor and time is taken during the visit to address the whole health of the animal patient. My cat is diabetic, on insulin and vet aggressive and a visit to the vet makes me very anxious usually but it was completely different here. read more
