I've been living here for a year now, and I am tired man. There are two major problems with this complex and many little other things. First, they are constantly fixing the plumbing and water so you have to deal with not having water for days at a time, multiple times a month. There are days where I can't even shower because there is no water. This has been like this the whole year I've lived here... Secondly, theft, break-ins, homelessness is a huge problem here. Someone broke in to the rooftop and destroyed everything once. Homeless are constantly camping outside the building. Homeless people and bored people constantly break in and pull the fire alarm. We've had multiple times throughout the year where we have to evacuate the building at 2am because some jerk pulled the alarm. I've seen neighbors who park on the streets get their windows busted. I've had a designer suitcase and 2 bikes stolen from my storage unit! The list goes on! The management lowkey sucks too! Not friendly at all!!! read more

TL; DR Avoid this place especially when you tour remotely. There is a restaurant chimney located at the building north, and they use the fireplace at least 8 hours a day. You could smell the smoke even on the patio at 8th floor. And this apartment has the most irresponsible leasing office. Complete story Moved here from California, so we could only toured this apartment remotely. The leasing office simply hided that there's a restaurant vent adjacent to the window and the balcony. The restaurant uses the fireplace from 10am to 10pm. Not possible to open the window because of the smoke. Since I have asthma, we talked to the office hoping to move to any vacant unit and we're willing to pay more. They pushed back and kept saying no issue was found. Well, how do they find the issue if the office member only stood in the hallway and refused to come into the unit? Thanks, we ended up buying a house. The management at this building must be a special kind of useless. Quite frequently some of the elevators break down, and it always takes them forever to fix. It's been almost three weeks since one of the elevators in one of the sides of the building broke down and they have not fixed it yet. Whenever you ask them about the issue, they always answer with a "we're working on it" sort of answer, but the fact that it always takes them forever obviously tells the opposite story. This is happening now with this elevator that just broke and it's always happened with other breakages. Always the same literal story. The problem with this particular elevator is that it is part of a set of two because it moves a lot of people around, so now the only working elevator is over utilized, which makes you wait up to 4 minutes sometimes to take it. read more

I strongly recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a change and for those who are shifting newly to Seattle. I would like to justify the 5 star review. 1. Leasing office staff: they get 5 star for their service . since I was searching for a flat during holiday season, it so happened that I had to interact with multiple leasing office members within true north. I must say that each one of them did their best to help me figure out the right floor plan within my budget , they were very helpful . It's been a week now since I moved and they are still helping me out set up my locker hub , mail box and multiple things. They actually heard me when I said I am new to Seattle. Big shout out to Chris , alisha , caline and Kenny. 2. Pricing and cleanliness: this apartment is reasonable priced with very good amenities which are also very well maintained. 3. Location: this property is very close to QFC and the lake is just opposite. So when ever the weather is good we can just walk down the steps of Westlake to sit by lake. From My first visit to true north which was around November 2nd to tour the apartment till now , it's been a very good experience here. read more

Ok, so I have been living here for 3 more months since my last review (6 total). I still think it is worth living here for a variety of reasons, including considering the deal I got. Expect to pay a higher price for square footage than other buildings, but with a slightly better quality than the average. Also, people don't seem to live here long term as they have been increasing the price by 7-9% year over year. PROs: - some bedrooms are hardwood floor. Soooooo practical to clean - Common areas is always very clean (EVERYWHERE) - Staff is very responsive, nice and genuinely interested in you - Rooms are pretty decent: not so much noise from the neighbors. I am particularly picky in terms of neighbor noise and I can tell you that I barely hear them. I still hear my upstairs neighbor walking here and there, but that's ok. I prefer this than these crappy carpets that other places offer - common areas (double roof top and nerd room downstairs) are waaaay above the average Cons: - Parking costs $200, which is above the average. At least the parking spots are assigned and there is plenty of space between spots (which means your car won't get a nick on the door unless your neighbor really wants to do it lol) - NO AIR CONDITIONING. They say it's because teh environment or blabla, but seriously, tons of certified buildings do have AC. I think this is a big deal. - The gym really sucks (and they didn't do anything about it). There is not much space, but it is possible to improve it: there is a bench but not a chest press. I think this is kind of basic for any gym. No work out for legs either. The bouldering wall is cool but not a lot of people actually use it. I personally end up using an outside gym. It costs me $20/month for a full set of gear. I wish a fourth of this equipment was available here (like, literally). read more

Management is friendly. The building and facilities are nice. Albeit I am concerned with all of the reviews stating their cars got broken into. That happened to a friend who lives upstairs as well. But, I didn't know it was that frequent. I wish they would enforce rules a bit better. Mainly the dog run poop clean up. I take my dog up there most days and some days I just turn around because it is just littered with poop. Which sucks. Overall it has been suggested by friends to live here and I have recommended it plenty of times. read more

I've lived here for 3 years in an Urban 1 bedroom and it's been a great experience thus far! The amenities alone are fantastic! The building is outdoors themed so I've been able to take advantage of free paddle board and kayak rentals. They even have life vests and because you're only 2 blocks from lake Union, it's an easy carry right down to the water for a spin around the lake! They also have an indoor climbing wall. During ski season they have free shuttles to Crystal mountain! The rooftop is amazing with plenty of seating (chairs, hanging pods, hammocks, indoor living and dining areas for entertaining and a dog walk on the top floor. Fortunately over 3 years, my rent had only gone up $15, so I've had no reason to explore other options as they stay pretty competitive. I rarely need to drive my car other than going out of town and downtown, Queen Anne, Freemont and SLU are walking distance. Capitol Hill is only a $5-$8 Lyft ride. Finally, all of the staff are really pleasant. From the office managers, cleaning crew and maintenance, everyone is friendly and willing to help. Things get fixed quickly and any "inconveniences" are planned and communicated in advance. read more

COVID safety is not being taken seriously in True North both by staff members in the office and residents. I have seen several of the office staff not wearing masks. Their masks are around their necks various times I have walked by the office. In addition, residents are walking around constantly in close quarters within 6 feet of me and others without masks. I have seen this in the stairwells, common areas, mailroom, package room, hallways - all over the apartment after mask wearing is now mandatory in this state. Despite the risk that this poses to residents and employees, there are minimal signs reminding people that masks are mandatory in the hallways and common areas of the building. True North is creating an unsafe environment for all of their residents through their passivity. I don't feel safe in my own apartment. Edit: After my review was written, they sent out an email letting the residents know they are required to wear a mask in the common areas. After this email went out, I saw office staff continue to wear masks around their necks or not over their nose while working in the apartment office. It is obvious the staff isn't taking this seriously. read more

Just moved in. Unit and building have been great so far. I have 2 large dogs, and the dog run upstairs is spacious with a nice view to boot. Given the concerns, I haven't had much experience with the other amenities, but they seem nice. Moving was hassle free. They locked down a freight elevator for the time I needed and there were no issues during the move in. The units are nice and modern (including appliances) with everything looking immaculate when I arrived. So far I haven't heard any neighbors, and I'm hoping that means the walls aren't paper thin. The staff have been great so far. I worked with Kenny, and he's been able to get me fixed up with no stress. 10/10 so far. I'll update if anything goes South. read more

True North is everything I've been looking for since moving over from the Eastside - accessible, clean, and modern. The biggest pro for me here has to be the management however... Kenny and the rest of the hospitable leasing staff at True North are nothing short of incredible! Recently I signed a lease on a new 1bd apartment, but after moving in realized I preferred a quieter unit on a higher level. Kenny recommended me a wonderful new apartment, and did everything to make the transfer seamless. After paperwork I made the switch in one day. I lived here for the summer for an internship, and it was one of the worst buildings I've ever lived in. I was on the 8th floor facing west, and the sun would beam in all day. I could barely get the apartment below 90 degrees, and I was facing Aurora which had so much noise. The fixtures were not stable (drawers and handles breaking off). The gym is super small. The deck is beautiful though, lots of outdoor space and grills. I actually slept there once because my room was so unbearably hot. Take a close look at the apartment and building if you decide to live here... Most of the other interns I worked with were really negative about their experience here too. read more

I have lived in True North for about a year now, and I would highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment in Seattle. The pros are. 1. The Amenities are amazing, there is a game/rec room great for storage and drying off camping equipment. Which you can rent from them. The room also has big storage lockers for $25 and lots of extras. Like flat screen Tv, pinball, and other arcade games. There is also a little library area where you can borrow hiking and camping guides in the front. 2. The roof top has a beautiful view of Seattle, a huge area in and indoor kitchen and a flat screen TVs, hammocks, and a pizza oven. Great spot during the summer, and most people a really good about cleaning up after themselves. Also, you can rent space out for special events. 3. The rooms are nice and new. All new appliances, and wash/dryer in unit. Pets are allowed, bow cats and dogs (and there is a dog run at the top of the building). Noise has never been an issue for us with neighbors. 4. The gym, just your basic apartment gym with equipment. But it is open 24/7 and there is a rock wall in the gym. Which is cool and unique! There are only a couple of things I wish better/had are having an AC in unit (but I think every person in Seattle after this summer wished they had AC in unit.) Also, it is on the pricey side, but that's everywhere in Seattle. Overall, I highly recommend the building you can't beat the location and the staff is great. Defiantly should check out if you are looking to move. read more

The time has come; I've been here for 5 months and absolutely love everything about it. I couldn't ask for a better living environment, staff, maintained grounds, amenities, access to South Lake Union Park or coffee shop (Herkimer). :-) The staff makes all the difference in the world! - The staff here is very friendly, polite and simply amazing. I can be a bit high maintenance at times (self-proclaimed at least) and Jill, Chad, Caitlin and Jennifer have always been there to hear me out. Like many others around this area (home of Amazon if you didn't know that already) I order a lot of things online and I've never had an issue with my packages and I can tell you there are A LOT of packages that the sales folks manage on a daily basis - bravo to them! One thing I've noticed is that anytime I walk through the door I'm always greeted by whomever is within view of the door. You would think it would be easy for them to keep their head down and keep working but someone ALWAYS looks up and acknowledges me and ask how my day is. That is the simplest yet most crucial thing they can do in my opinion. Again, the people here make all the difference in the world. A huge thanks to the maintenance staff here as well as they are doing a phenomenal job keeping every inch of this place orderly and enjoyable. The amenities are plain ridiculous! - I'm a huge fan of the "Map Room" (at least that's what I call it with the maps on the wall :-)) so don't be surprised if you catch me in there lounging when you pay TN a visit. The pet area on the roof is very convenient and with spectacular views of Seattle and Queen Anne hill. I think I enjoy going up there more than the pup when we do, lol. As odd as it sounds, yes there is a rock wall here and it's pretty slick. I like to go down there and get a killer 20min workout in just because especially when I'm restless. The 8th floor has a killer sun deck area which is perfect for those midday power naps (come on you know you love'em). The apartments are REALLY nice. - I relocated from GA and specifically the suburbs so I'm very used to certain finishes, style, etc and True North delivers. I have one of the Urban 1-bedrooms with a view of the Space Needle and wouldn't change a thing. Even with a 90lb German Shepherd the floors are bulletproof (not really but you get my point). The bathrooms are very well designed and the kitchen appliances are all of good quality and design. And the best part.... there is NO noise between apartment walls; talk about a relief! :-) Even the windows are well insulated. I'm fairly close to Aurora Ave and the difference from window open to closed is amazing. I would absolutely renew my lease here when the time comes but we just purchased a Condo a few blocks away to settle in more for the Seattle life later this year. If it weren't for that opportunity there is no question of my status as a resident at True North during my time in this amazing city. I highly recommend living at True North. I was once in your shoes shopping around for the right one and I have ZERO regrets about my decision. Hope to run into you in the map room one day. read more

I have lived at True North for close to a year now and love it. I would, and do, recommend it to people I know and meet. Building. The building itself is very modern and well fit out. The quality and appearance of the apartments is very good and sits towards the upper end of the market. High-end appliances, granite bench tops and nice floorboards. The apartments themselves (at least the ones I've seen) all appear to be well laid-out. Community. The building has a great community feel. The team put on regular events, from bouldering sessions to trivia nights, which are a fantastic way to meet others in the building. There are plenty of communal spaces (a reading and map room, a games and storage room, two entertaining areas, a huge deck and the fitness center/bouldering room) that are perfect for spending time with others. To top it all off, the staff are simply awesome - they're very helpful and genuinely want to get to know you. I haven't come across a better set of people running a building. As for the community itself, in my experience, True North is primarily made up of young professionals Location. True North is walking distance from the Amazon South Lake Union campus. It is walking distance from Lake Union, which is a beautiful place during the summer. It's a very short drive to the I-5 and backs onto the 99. There is a bus stop a minute's walk from the building and a Pronto bike rack a minute further. Amenities. True North has a great slew of facilities: the fitness center has two treadmills, two elliptical machines, an exercise bike, an adjustable bench and dumbbells, a cable strength machine and an indoor bouldering wall. There is a games room with a number of arcade machines, a couch, bike storage, a bike service area and an space for drying off adventure gear. There are numerous grilles, a caterer's kitchen, numerous TVs and a large deck. Right outside of the building, there is a great coffee shop a minute's walk away, a very handy deli and a dry cleaning shop. Drawbacks. As they say, nothing is perfect. Many of the apartments do get very warm in the summer, although this is not uncommon for Seattle. The team are working to address this by making portable air conditioners available for rent. The construction of JUXT over the road has spoiled the view for many of the east-facing apartments. The immediate location does not have that much "going on", which is a shame. A number of the nearby buildings have empty retail spaces, so it is simply a matter of time until they have tenants move in and add to the atmosphere. All-in-all, this is a great place to live. As someone who has relocated to Seattle, this community has made me feel at home. I've made many friends and really enjoy coming home to True North. read more

I lived in True North for a six months, after taking over lease from a previous tenant. I would like to first express thanks, for the professional and helpful staff. They are simply awesome. Mrs. Hutten, the new property manager has really turned things around. The community is great, respectable and nice people live there. No loud parties or noises in the whole time. I have seen some reviews, with which I have to respectfully disagree. There was no pest problem in my apartment at all. It was simply too new for that. There was really no problem with heating and cooling it either. I used the gym everyday, it is good enough for an average person, if you are a professional athlete, my hats off to you, but you need to go to a professional gym. I recently visited the area for another apartment, since I needed a bigger one and TrueNorth didn't have what I was looking for. I can attest that at the time of this writing, their price is more than reasonable among similar buildings. I had a great experience at the end of my lease as well. Inspection was made in a day and full refund. I can't agree with older reviews about problems with deposit refund, but that is perhaps due to the new management and the awesome work of the officers there. Really sad that I am leaving this place, will be back the first chance I get. read more

This is my third apartment complex living in Seattle - by far my favorite experience so far! The property managers/other staff members are always extremely helpful, attentive and happy to answer any questions in a timely manner. Any maintenance has always been completed within 24 hours and the building is always kept clean. The amenities in this building are great and the rooftop is major key in this wonderful city! I've lived here about a month now and love the building/location! The only sound from neighbors is the sound of them walking around above me, no sound seems to travel between the walls! My car was broken into (back windshield smashed) in the "secure" parking garage and I wasn't super impressed by the building management's response. They claimed that the camera closest to my car doesn't actually point at my car. Which I believe, but when I asked about footage of people coming in and out of the garage door entrances, they expressed no interest in looking into it. I offered to watch it myself (more for peace of mind than anything) and they said they could only give out footage to tenants if the police requested it. Again, I get this. Yet, they never once mentioned they would review footage themselves and honestly didn't seem at all concerned about the burglary. I know we're in a city and these things happen, but at least pretend to care. read more

Stayed here for 2 years. 2015-17. Lived in a 500 sq. ft open bed apartment. It felt like a 700 sq. ft place. All kitchen appliances are top of the line and every inch of the space is well utilized. The location is great and easily accessible. Neighbourhood is also amazing. Staff is courteous and friendly. Best part are the amenities that it provides and the events it organizes time-to-time. The location is great too, as it's so close to Lake Union, Downtown, Queen Anne, etc. The main issue I have is the noise. My neighbors love to blast music at all hours of the night--to the point where I could even sing along to the songs if I wanted to. I enjoyed living here for 1 year but when I moved out they tried to charge me a $1500 cleaning fee. I had it professionally cleaned before moving out, took pictures and did a move out inspection with one of the leasing agents. The leasing agents backed off when I showed them the move out inspection and pictures but I'm still being harassed by debt collectors. Probably have to consult with a lawyer now... I lived at True North for a couple HOURS last September and do not recommend to anyone. tl;dr - BED BUGS WARNING I moved from the east coast so had to find an apartment without seeing the actual unit and the building. True North has a fantastic yelp reviews and people at leasing office seemed very nice, so I picked an unit at True North and arranged moving. I got to the city first while the moving company is still transporting my belongings. I had a couple backpacks and a couple luggages. As I was settling down at my new potential home, found tens of scary looking bugs on the floor. At first, I didn't care because I didn't know what they are because I had never seen those before in my entire life. Later, found more in the bedroom. Found more in the closet. Found more in another closet. Something was not right. I took a close look at those bugs and googled it. Oh, no! Bed bugs. Office was closed just a few mins ago, so I called a bed bug specialist myself. The guy took a look at those little friends. Cooool, identified as bed bugs and clearly those had been there for months! Found their eggs, newborn cute baby bed bugs, hard-working daddy bed bugs, and grandpa bed bugs. The whole bed bug family was there making a happy life. Sent an email to the office staff right away. Then I booked a hotel and left without any belongings. The next day, the office called their own bed bug specialist. Nothing changed, he had the same opinion. They let me break the lease, I was released in the afternoon. It is true that their staffs are very nice and kind, but this incident just had a too much impact on me. I had to throw away whatever I brought with me to the unit on my first day which could be at least $5,000 value. Then I spent a few days to search for an apartment. And more importantly, I started hating Seattle from the first day and still hate this city. Good thing for me, I am moving out of this city next week only after six months. Thinking about renting an unit at True North? Think about it once again. Living a happy life at True North? Look around yourself once again. You might find new friends. read more

This apartment is great with a fantastic location and amenities. However the building is not secure. My car was broken into in the garage and the garage doors are constantly left open for anyone to be able to get in. The front entrance is not locked during office hours and anyone could have access to the building during those hours and of course the garage from inside the building. The building staff are very nice except for the people who work in the front office desk. They are not very friendly in person and are especially not very willing to help over the phone. Overall, the apartment itself is nice with its upgraded features but the office staff are an embarrassment. I wouldn't live here again with its horrible security and front office staff. read more

Easily one of the nicest apartment complexes in SLU. Great resources (rooms, decks, rentals, arranged trips, etc.). Units are modern and with huge windows and great views. I lived on the 8th floor and was thrilled with everything about it--except for the sweltering temperatures in the summer when the sun was shining through our windows. Even with the included blackout curtains, it became too much. So my only caveat to renting here is be prepared to get an A/C unit for your bedroom and living room areas. The views, especially from the 8th floor, are pretty hard to beat. Great resources for dog owners, pleasant management staff, and (strangely) a climbing wall on location. read more

So I will preempt this by saying that I toured probably 30 apartment complexes all over the city of Seattle, including four buildings just on Dexter avenue alone. I ended up choosing True North and I stand by that decision. The amenities at true north are amazing. There are multiple rooftop and inside shared areas that are clean, well-kept and thoughtful. By far one of the best complexes for amenities. I was very kindly greeted by management when I initially toured and was offered personal correspondence with Alesha, who helped me greatly in choosing an apartment, even when things got difficult. All of the management I have interacted with have been kind and helpful, Alesha being especially attentive. I very much appreciate that and can say that out of all of the buildings I toured, no one has been as friendly and accommodating as the management here. Additionally, I have never toured a building where the person giving the tour is actually living in the building. I found this a huge positive indication for the quality of living at True North. The only reason I cannot give a 5 star review is because of the same reasons others have suggested: security. The front door is unlocked during the day (although all of the buildings elevators and rooms are key-access only) and the garage system is not ideal. I have only been living at True North for a couple of weeks and my car has already been broken into. I wish I would have been informed about the ample break ins when I was touring (I know this is an obvious deterrent, but I believe True North does everything in it's power besides strengthening the gate security to keep this from happening such as using security cameras and having guards tour the premises), I also wish I was informed about the homelessness camp that is stationed nearby. I think it is important information to have when choosing an apartment and I don't appreciate not being told at least to be careful about leaving things in my car. I am from an area where this simply does not happen and was not prepared for the reality of having thousands of dollars worth of stuff taken from my vehicle. Overall I love living in True North. The people are wonderful and the spaces are great. Security is the only drawback. I hope this helps someone else in the future. read more

It's pretty hot this summer, and management gave away a bunch of free fans to help people get through the season comfortably. The box fan they gave me was worth about $30 and it's helping a lot. Management has been great in general, and of course the amenities and location are excellent. I recently renewed my lease for another year because I've been happy here. Another thing I like about this place is that the other residents tend to be friendly and interesting. The amenities attract people who like the outdoors and the location attracts tech professionals. read more

I really enjoyed living in this apartment building. We moved in in October 2015, taking over a lease and it was great. We actually decided to move out now (March 2016) which is the end of the original lease, but only because we wanted something in a different area. While looking for the new apartment we ended up visiting pretty much everything there is around the area and I must say that True North was among the best of the best! Apart from the location which would not work out for us (moving work place) everything is pretty good. We actually considered staying there and have a longer commute. Of course there are always some cons, so I am going to give you a fair description of pros and cons: Pros - The management team is awesome, hands down the best management team I have seen. Always helpful and nice. The rooftop decks (yes there are more than one!) are great, some are bigger, some are like little secret rooftops only for yourself. The game room is also nice and fun and I would also like to praise the cleanliness of the place. Everything was always spotless! Finally, they have some nice get together parties and two ski trips (free ride to Crystal Mountain) while we were living there. Way to go fellow adventurers! Cons - The air conditioning on the corridors made a lot of noise. The elevator was broken for quite some time, however, they were sending emails letting us know about it (Great management team again) and it was repaired before we left. I just moved to Seattle in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and I was really nervous about moving into an apartment that I'd never physically set foot in before. However, even during the application process Kenny was super helpful and offered to give me an apartment tour via Zoom. Granted, its still difficult to get a feel for the space over video, but it was definitely nice to see the layout of the apartment. Moving in was also super easy. All of the staff was super helpful, letting me reserve the moving elevator for an easier transition. There were a couple of things that didn't work in the apartment at first (oven wasn't working, missing screen on window) but the maintenance staff was super quick and able to solve these problems in a timely manner. I've only been here about a week, but every time I need to correspond with maintenance or the staff here they are very quick to respond. I've been living at True North for the past four months and I thought it was time to give my assessment. First thing I'd like to share is that when I moved from Texas to Seattle in August I looked at quite a few apartment buildings in the SLU area and some high rise buildings downtown. True North was clearly the best place for me and here's why: Safety. Not only is the building secure and requires badge access to get in, but they also have a security guard watching over us every night. This part of SLU on Dexter also feels very safe. I feel completely comfortable walking around at night outside the building because there aren't panhandlers around here. This is in contrast to the high rise buildings downtown. The buildings were safe, but once you step out the front door its like you're in a third-world country. Amenities. True North is a new building and all the amenities reflect that. The gym has a really cool bouldering wall if you like to rock climb as well as some weights and cardio equipment which is all brand new. The bicycle storage room has a mini arcade and there's lounge area to relax and watch tv. They also have DirectTV with all the movie channels and the NFL package! There's an Amazon Locker in the mailroom area which is one of the best things ever if you shop on Amazon a lot. The rooftop area is probably the nicest rooftop in Seattle! There are three gas grill, outdoor fireplace, lots of comfy seating, fantastic views of Lake Union, Downtown, and Space Needle. The best feature though is the outdoor pizza oven!! The indoor lounge area at the rooftop level is pretty amazing. One side is a full kitchen and dining area with tv so you can host large dinner parties. The other side has a 70" tv and comfy couches to lounge on and also has shuffleboard. There's a dog park area on a separate part of the roof. I don't have a dog so I haven't been up there, but I haven't heard any dogs barking while I was enjoying the rooftop views. They also have a couple of kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for our use on Lake Union for free! Staff. I have nothing but glowing reviews for the True North team. They are always courteous and professional. Any questions or concerns I may have they are quick to address them. Because I'm the first person to ever live in my unit, I expected to have a few maintenance issues. The few issues I've had were addressed the same day by the maintenance team! Another nice perk of living here are the resident's events that True North hosts. So far they have all been catered and have an open bar complete with a bartender. How sweet is that?! My Apartment. It's beautiful! Stainless appliances, Quartz countertops, etc... Every person who has been to my apartment is very impressed and jealous that they don't live here. When I give my friends a tour of the building I hear "Wow" a lot. lol! Other reviewers mentioned their apartments got very hot in the summer. I got lucky with my location in the building because my apartment never went above 76 degrees and I don't have air conditioning. I face a courtyard and don't take any direct sunlight, yet I get plenty of natural light here. This may be the exception, but I'm not sure. The Residents. I don't know many of the people who live here, but it seems mostly like young professionals. The best part about my neighbors is that they're quiet! I never hear anything from inside my apartment. Most apartments I lived in before I could always hear the people above me and to the sides of me. Not here!! Rent. Its not cheap to live here, however, the rent is inline with the neighboring apartment buildings who don't even come close to offering the same amenities. Ok, time for the bad. The only thing that bothers me a little is having to pay $200 a month for parking in the garage. If you don't own a car, which is easy here because there's a bus stop in front of the building, then parking is not big deal. The street parking right next to the building is not metered, so if you're lucky you can snag one of the free spots there. Overall. I couldn't be happier to live at True North!!! read more

This is a tragic and senseless incident. Much like how life experiences are sometimes. You have every right to be outraged however, I think management is being responsible - reviewing and assessing the situation - they are being thorough and it just takes time. Mob like mentality does no one any good. Recent events in the news should tell you that. Management needs to be accountable but hasty reactions are not what is called for - give them a chance. My heart goes to all who are involved. read more
