We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (1:15pm). It's pretty barren inside but there are a couple picnic tables outside. Donut prices range from $0.99 USD to $3.69 USD. They also have drinks and 8 ice cream options. If you pay with cash, you don't get charged the service fee (3.70%). - Blueberry fritter ($3.29 USD) - second time I've found a place that does blueberry fritters. My favourite donut from the bunch. - Buttermilk bar ($2.59 USD) - nice bite, would order this again. - Lemon filled ($2.59 USD) - filling was better than the raspberry but the texture wasn't satisfying. - Raspberry filled ($2.59 USD) - filling was okay. - French crueller ($2.29 USD) - light and airy. Would come back for more of Lafeens donuts.

Seeded Table Bread ($11) - This loaf has a good crumb structure with balanced openness, good flavor, and a slight sourdough quality. I love the mix of seeds attached to the top - they are toasty, roasty, full of umami, and even a bit of a licorice flavor. Although we bought the loaf at 10AM and cut it open less than an hour later, the crust had already softened. I'm sure the transportation down from Burlington doesn't help things. Instead of being crusty, it's a little leathery. (4/5) Water Tank Bakery serves some pretty solid bread. I'll have to give their retail bakery location a visit next time I'm up in Burlington, especially to see if the crust development there is better and less leathery. Unfortunately, I had already driven out of town when I discovered the problem, so I couldn't bring the food back. I contacted the bakery to explain what happened, but instead of offering a refund for the defective food, they offered me half off a different sandwich. Why would I want to spend more money at a place that just sold me food I couldn't even eat? Mistakes happen, but good customer service means making things right when the customer receives a bad product. I'm very disappointed with how this was handled and will think twice before spending my money here again.

Couldn't resist trying one of the vanilla crullers before posting a review. Donut was outstanding. Soft, moist and sweet. A few places for indoor seating, no outdoor seating. As I had a lunch already, I decided to just try something small here, and the cragel caught my eye. The cragel is like a croissant bagel, and they had either everything or pesto. I opted for pesto because it's a bit more unique compared to the everything bagel seasoning, and it was very flavorful. The cashier told me the pesto is her favorite and that it is more flavorful than the everything cragel, but the everything cragel is more popular. The cragel is quite buttery and soft. A slight miss is that the price is fairly high ($5.25) for something that is not too substantial, and while flavorful, the cragel lacked the crispness / flakiness that you'd expect from a croissant.
