Went her (1st time) for fresh pressed juice, the girl behind the counter stayed there while directing me to where the particular juice was located that I was interested in, yeah that didn't help, nor did she ever come from behind the counter! Once I found the juice I wanted it was expiring that day, I needed it for the following day, I asked if a fresh one could be made. I was told no only what we have in the cooler. Impossible to find the particular juice requested. I feel if I'm paying 11.00 or more for fresh pressed juice it should be made fresh in front of you especially if the only one left is expiring that day!! The staff acted like they could care less and customer service is aweful!!! ONE STAR let alone 1/2 a star is not even my score!!! So I travel onward to discover at Mrs. Green's north on Green Bay Road the have fresh pressed while you wait 6.99 and 9.99!! Actually two and a half. It is definitely great place for juice but I had one of their acai bowls and was disappointed. They have stuff in a refrigerator case that look like healthy options for lunch. I live within walking distance so I plan on trying more things. I got the yogi berry açaí bowl, it was the most disgusting açaí bowl I've ever had. It tasted like nothing. Super bland, and tasted like straight up milk. Spent $10 and ended up throwing it away after a couple of bites. My friends got the same açaí bowls, and they were also very dissatisfied. Never coming back. read more

I used to be a fan but lately the people working there are just rude and sullen. It should be joyful. It's a pretty place with healthy food. That used to make me happy. And the staff don't know the difference between cilantro and parsley. Some people don't like the taste of cilantro so when it is used instead of parsley the product just tastes bad. Basic training should help staff understand and identify the products they are using and that are listed in their drinks. Unfortunately true juice has no competition so getting better service probably isn't high on their list. I hope I am wrong. read more

I've stopped at True Juice a few times over the years and have always enjoyed the juices/smoothies. The location is super convenient to downtown Winnetka and the staff is generally friendly. Overall, it's a good place to stop for a healthy drink! There are, however, a few things I'd change. I wish True Juice would extend their hours and remain open later. I also would prefer if some of the drink names were changed. "Ba(nanny)" seems a little pretentious even for Winnetka. read more

I have been here a few times and think the smoothies are delicious but I have 2 issues.. 1) the price is high as has been said in every other review. But I kind of get it because I've made my own juice and the cost of equipment and organic fresh produce (not to mention the time it makes to prepare) is really high so i guess maybe that is why? 2) Please post calories for the items! For those of us who log that stuff (im sure im not the only one...) its important to know. And its not hard to do if you know the recipe. I will no longer go patronize True Juice. Final Straw. The soup containers are usually only 3/4ths filled. The chicken cabbage salad is truly misnamed---only one sliver of chicken in the very pricey container that wasn't filled up either. Please just rename it the cabbage salad and reduce the price! According to an unfriendly employee, the juice refrigerator broke down a few weeks ago and they haven't gotten all the inventory back up and running yet, so don't ask about the slim selection of juices. Ok. (A friend had two juices that were spoiled and she never has returned) All might be forgiven if the price point was realistic and the customer service good. But it's not. There's another juice store opening in Wilmette that's certain to give Tru Juice some much-needed competition. read more

Delicious tasting juices but holy moly is it expensive. One juice and one smoothie, both off the menu cost me just under $20. I love love love green juice but that's just not something that is affordable on a regular basis. I do wish that they would show you the prices on the menu but I have a feeling it would scare people off. And once you try the product and taste how delicious it is I'm sure many people get hooked. This place does it right! Real cold-pressed juices. Tons of recipes. Served in glass! Ask for jona, he'll explain it all. They offer real cleanses and charge the same as all the lower quality places. I work around the corner from this place, and its nice to have such a healthy place so close! Im not a big starbucks or coffee drinker, so when it comes to an afternoon pick me up, its nice to be able to go here. They have lots to choose from - juices and smoothies and just about all of them are vegan. They also have a small variety of salads and baked goods - mostly on the healthy side. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful and they have lots of options. read more

This place has really nailed their fresh juices. However, I go here infrequently as I cannot overcome the price regardless of my affinity for the product. It is particularly difficult for me to overcome the price-hurdle given that there is a Starbucks right down the street, and I can be equally satisfied while saving a few dollars. I imagine tru juice will do well as it is situated in an affluent community, but beware that if you choose to go you are sacrificing your wallet. read more

One might think that for the price, branding, and wording on the menus, they were getting organic produce. One might believe that the food and drinks would be of the highest quality and taste. One might assume that the food and drinks would be prepared and served with care or, at least, courtesy. Sadly, none of the above assumptions are true. True Juice is often messy, the descriptions of their offerings littered with misspelled words, and the staff lacking in knowledge about their products, ingredients and the various health benefits of what they charge a lot for. I've been in there when they've mistaken MACA for MATCHA and seen them turn away customer after customer ordering a soup from their (messy) chalkboard that they didn't have that day, despite it being (misspelled) on their (messy) chalkboard. Just because we don't live in NY or LA doesn't mean that we are willing to accept a faux healthy juice bar pretender. To be true, one must be honest and sincere. It's a terrible name for a very bad, inconsistent and misleading peddler of assumptions. read more

I am shocked at how rudely I was just treated here. I love the food here, although it is expensive. Last time I was here I got something I liked and asked if they have it. She said she has to check in the back but proceeded to ring me up. I asked if she should check in the back first because what if I was going to buy it? That seems logical. She was flustered and said someone else should be here to check these things and it would take too much time. Really? There was one other person in here. I would have gladly waited until the other person ordered. Then she didn't even give me a bag for my purchases so I had to ask which seemed liked a huge inconvenience. Very disappointing. You need to go out of your way for customers. That is why you're in business. read more

Get the almond milk!! It's like i died and went to nutmilk heaven. The place is super clean and the juices are deliciously served in glass bottles. The owner, Jonahdab, is a chef and is very knowledgable about juicing. They have samples if you're not sure what to order. And they actually peel their fruits and veggies, unlike "Peeled" in Evanston. This is an exemplary juice bar, so I give it an A+. We will be going there every sunday after church. read more

I tried True Juice for the first time last week. The whole green juice/cleanse don't really appeal to me, but I decided to try it as a afternoon snack. I picked up a single bottle of "Dwyers Gold" in the small fridge. This juice tasted so pure and fresh! As I mentioned, I am not a huge fan of green juices/smoothies, but I have rarely had one that was so good. I was thrilled. I also got their pumpkin brownie. Judging by the listed ingredients on the wrapper, it seemed guilt-free! This brownie was too good to be true; I couldn't believe how tasty it was! High recommend this pumpkin brownie, it's a must! The ONLY complaint and reason why I am giving is because it is a bit pricey. I realize that organic juices like these usually tend to be higher priced, but if you are planning to regularly buy these, it is going to cost you. Other than that, True Juice is a great place! I also want to say the shop is gorgeous; all white decor. Also, not a speck of dust anywhere! It is so clean! Would love to come back. The NorthShore is lucky to have True Juice! read more

This place is AMAZING! Every one of the cold pressed juices I've tried is out of this WORLD. I've had several greens & citrus juices, the almond milk (seriously? Who needs desert?) & some concentrated shots. Salads here are incredible too, best kale salad I've ever had. I'm not a big kale fan, I more so eat it to be healthy, so to find one I actually love, has me beside myself. I love the cozy & cheery vibe here too! I know there's been some complaints about pricing, but you've got to consider the AMOUNT of produce that goes into these juices! And it's organic produce! They don't use any added water or sugars, so you're getting 100% what you're paying for. I think it's completely worth it. My only problem with True Juice is I wish I lived closer :( read more

This is my new destination of choice when I want a true feel good smoothie (or recovering from a HO) LOL? This is no Jamba Juice. It's real ingredients, organic, prepared by knowledgeable (shall I say?) baristas, One day it was Banana Strawberry smoothie, --all organic (you know high the pesticide count is in Strawberries). No sugar added, no syrups, etc. Wife had a fennel, kale, apple and carrot juice. Not my cup of tea, but I tried it and it wasn't bad. They have salads and sandwiches as well. The key to me? Only 1 out of 4 times they had what is on the menu. This makes it very awkward when you're ordering. I asked for the breakfast bowl. The girl at the register charged me for something completely different. Then she told me that they only make acai bowls. She never heard of it. I showed her the menu on my phone and she tells me they cannot make it. Turns out it was in fridge! No apology, nothing. This happened another time with a salad that was apparently "discontinued." It's frustrating they don't know what they have on the menu or in the fridge. Today was another time that the juice and food item I came in for were both out of stock. Also, I brought in my dog all 4 times. Today, they tell me pets are not allowed. Why did you make conversation about your Maltese when I was in with my dog just yesterday? Tell me the first time or maybe put up a sign? There's a dog dish outside their door so it seemed dog friendly. I'd leave her outside but the two patio tables were taken. I wish they'd educate the staff members about the menu and update the website more often since it seems to change frequently. I like to know what's in my juice and food without standing in front of the fridge scanning every ingredient or holding up the line. I have yet to see a manager around. Juice and food is vegan and healthy which makes me so happy. The service can use some supervision. The one blonde girl is the only friendly and helpful person. read more

When I'm paying 7 dollars for a smoothie it's not too much to expect the smoothie to taste the same every time. Sometimes the consistencies are different or there's too much of one ingredient that overwhelms it. I love the idea of True Juice - fresh ingredients, healthy, organic - and will continue to support, but the execution of the smoothies (what they should be best at) is subpar.
