Over the phone, I was quoted $60 per hour, but I was never told that rate applied per cleaner. A couple of days before the appointment, the cleaner sent a very long text--my fault for not reading it carefully--which mentioned $60 per hour per cleaner. That is a big difference from what I initially understood. When I asked how many cleaners would be coming for my small, already mostly clean house, the cleaner insisted on sending three people. On top of that, they charged an additional $50 travel fee, which I've never encountered with other cleaning services (and they were only traveling from Shoreline to Bellevue). The worst part is that when the three cleaners arrived, only two of them seemed to be working. The third person spent most of the two hours doing almost nothing--mopping one small area and randomly sweeping walls and furniture with a feather mop for far too long. This felt like a tactic to inflate the cost by counting him as a third cleaner, without him actually contributing. After two hours, the house still wasn't fully cleaned. There was dirt left in the oven drawer, some drawers and the fridge weren't wiped properly, and one of the toilets was still unclean. It was extremely frustrating to pay such a high rate for an incomplete job. Overall: - Very high rates once you realize it's per cleaner, per hour. - Unclear communication of pricing (you must read the fine print carefully). - Extra travel fee that seemed unnecessary. - Unsatisfactory cleaning results, despite paying for three cleaners. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. If you do consider them, read every detail thoroughly--otherwise, you may end up with a huge bill for very little work.

I called them on as they had not showed up. They begged to let them come then which was too late for me, so arranged for the next day between 9 and 10. They showed up about 10:30. I walked them through the premises and indicated that they could skip cleaning the refrigerator and spend the extra time on the rest of the kitchen and on the bathroom shower. I reminded them that they had agreed cleaning inside of windows and window frames and baseboards. (All part of deep cleaning). I explained to them that the floor is laminate, not wood so they should not allow water to settle on it. I noticed a slight look of displeasure on the male's face but he did accept a caffecito. They declared themselves finished around 2. We walked through and I mentioned that the floor condition was not good. She tried to talk herself out of that. Anyhow I gave them a $10 tip. Later on, I check the cleaning results again and that's when I noticed all the things they had not done, and the floor was the so disappointing, it was worse than it had been before. I called them and explained my disappointment. She tried to argue with me and then say okay i'm working now but I will be there in 2 hours. So after putting out a request to 3-4 company's I settled on Green Home Cleaning. Namely because a) they gave a very detailed list of what they do room by room b) They were very competitive on price. So I booked them for Feb 15th (or so I thought !!). Sat Feb 15th and 11.00 am rolls around (the time they were due to all). 1.30 and I look at the text (oh dear I wrote the text but never sent it !! did not tell the wife for fear of an early death). Instead I text Green home and asked when was the earliest they could come. This was a Saturday bear in mind so I expected early the next week, No, They could be there at 2.00pm the same day (saved!!). @.00pm came and Aliya knocked on my door. My home is 3600 sq feet, she was one woman but oh my what a woman (more like a robot in the best possible sense). Staring upstairs she got to grips with each room in turn. I looked at my watch it was 6.30pm she was still upstairs working like a Trojan (British saying not sure if it translates, working damned hard). Aliya worked room by room as the clock slipped past 9.00pm. I was exhausted watching her, she literally never stopped. Ion the end I told her to pass on a couple of areas we never use or she would have been there until midnight. After wards we went around and every room was spotless and, hoovered, dusted, polished and swept. I honestly have never seen someone work so hard. It's for causing us to lose our trust in them. A while back, our toilet was clogged. At first, I thought nothing of it. Maybe my wife or I accidentally clogged the toilet with too much toilet paper. It's happened before. No big deal. Just use the plunger to unclog it and all is good. But then, it started happening again a couple of weeks later. I asked my wife if she was clogging the toilet. She didn't think so, but maybe? I had the same thought. I didn't remember clogging anything. I remember the toilet completely flushing after using it, but I began to doubt myself, like maybe I did. Another couple of weeks go by, and our cleaners arrive like they always do every other week. It was then that I noticed that our toilet was again clogged. I started to put the pieces together. The toilet is always clogged after the cleaners come over. Maybe they are using too much paper or something that causes the toilet to clog. Fortunately, I was able to unclog each incident. But then, something else came to my attention. In our bathroom, next to our toilet, is a shelf with toilet paper rolls. On the shelf, we keep a Clorox toilet wand scrubber. It's the wand with the detachable scrubber that turns the water blue after cleaning. Well, I noticed we were missing some. I asked my wife if she was using them to clean the toilet. She said no. Neither was I. Why would we use them if we have cleaners who clean our toilets? So my first thought was, "Then the cleaners must be using the scrubbers." But my wife told me that the cleaners aren't supposed to use other products except their own. My wife was about to call Amazonia, but I told my wife, "Instead of calling them and accusing them of something we're not sure of, let's just wait. Next time the cleaners come over, if the toilet is clogged and we're missing a scrubber, because now there is only one left, then we know what's happening." So the morning came for the cleaners to stop by. I flushed the toilet to make sure it wasn't clogged. It wasn't. I made sure to double-check that there was one scrubber left next to the toilet. It was actually still in the plastic packaging wrapper that it originally came in. It was all good to go. Immediately, after the cleaners left, I went to flush the toilet and, guess what? The toilet was clogged, as expected. Also, the scrubber was gone. We had zero left. I tried so hard to unclog that toilet, but it wouldn't budge. Then, some time later, I thought, "We have three bathrooms in the house, and only one is clogged. That clogged toilet just so happens to have the scrubbers." I told my wife that we need to contact Amazonia because something wasn't adding up. We messaged Amazonia to tell them we believe the cleaners are using our scrubbers and flushing them down the toilet, causing it to become clogged. After messaging Amazonia, we get a reply. We were told that the cleaners would never use anyone else's products or tools except what belongs to Amazonia. Instead of trying to listen to us, Amazonia then put the blame on us, saying it was a problem with our toilet. That was a huge blow to us. Amazonia just couldn't believe that their employees could ever make mistakes, so they instead blamed us and our plumbing. Amazonia also told us that they spoke to one of the cleaners and they denied using our scrubber and flushing it down the toilet. But Amazonia was kind enough to send over one of their in-house plumbers. The plumber came over, and guess what he pulled out of the toilet? A Clorox toilet scrubber. It was such a relief to know that I was correct. We had hard evidence to prove that the cleaners were flushing the scrubbers down the toilet. I took a photo of the plumber holding the scrubber. The plumber messaged Amazonia to tell them what was found. We were expecting a follow-up message or phone call from Amazonia regarding the discovery, but never got one. A few days pass, and no message. No phone call. Monday rolls along and we message Amazonia. They deny everything. The cleaners also denied it. Somehow, a scrubber magically jumped out of a bag, into the toilet, and flushed itself down. After a few attempts to reason with them and to allow them to be honest with us, they still chose to deny everything. My wife and I felt insulted and gaslit. We weren't going to be mad at anyone, but we just wanted an honest answer. Couldn't get that, so we made the decision to part ways with Amazonia. Again, great quality service, but this incident ruined our relationship with them. It's too bad. If a customer believes something is wrong, the answer isn't to gaslight them or to just deny the situation. I would hope a company would do a thorough investigation, but they chose not to.
