Burger is 10$ . But what you're really paying for is the show at the cashier line. Literally tons of people are waiting in line for pre cooked burgers. The slow down can be attributed to two people making the food however that's being generous. It's only ONE person making the food. When they make your order they make sure to give you as little as possible of each topping. Look at the picture at the end of the review. Then look at the line. The True burger sauce recipe is solely Mayo and Dijon mustard. The other handles the fry station (chicken tenders and fries) and she's the one on her phone checking social media. Yup, no gloves, no care, no nothing. She can only go as fast as the burger guy can cook so that's 1 order for every 15 minutes. Here's the big kicker, to save time they actually stick pre portion frozen foods to THAW above the fryer until they get an order. Frozen foods hanging above a deep fryer. Now that's a health hazard if I ever saw one because it sits in the bacterial danger zone: perfect for food poisoning. There is ZERO hustle here. No urgency. I believe they only cook 2 orders at a time and are getting paid more when they cook slower. It's pretty bonkers I've seen slow at other places but this place takes the cake because they don't seem to care besides watching time pass by no matter how many customers are in line. I'm writing this review as I'm boarding my flight. The half eaten protein bar at the bottom of your bag will make a better meal than ordering and eating a burger here. Summary : you will wait 20+ minutes while they carefully craft your multiple topping burger with no toppings. Empty burgers. Unlimited toppings mean absolutely nothing. You won't be happy ordering anything here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

Horrible. Service is beyond slow. Workers are rude and yell at customers. Waited over 35 minutes for a burger. Would give 0 stars. Do not recommend. read more

True Burger Co is one of the few dining options in JFK's Terminal 7, and while the quality v. price was typical of airport food, they did have a few interesting options, including the Impossible Burger! And dare I say, the Impossible fake meat here was even better than a real beef patty. All the burgers were built on a crusty bun with a choice of unlimited toppings including lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, relish, and even some hot items like grilled onions and sautéed mushrooms. I also got the "True Spread," a creamy spiced sauce that complemented the burger nicely. Though friendly, the service here was astonishingly slow, but a bored traveler has to find something to do before his next flight.. read more

Bought burger, chicken tenders and a beer at JFK Terminal 7. Food totally uneatable. Paid $14.66 for a Draft Stella - they were out of it got a can of Heineken instead - no refund offered. The simple cheese burger was served only warm I don't know how they cooked the meat cause to flat top visible ... anyway one bite and I dumped it. Chicken tenders ... some were burnt some cold ‍ read more

Actually still standing in line and I can already give this place a 1. Ordered 3 burgers and there are no prompts on the kiosks for extra charge for sauces. Looked at my receipt after and asked the "cashier", who obviously had no idea what was being charged. He said I said put "ranch". Yes I did but it wasn't even on the burger in question. This place makes no sense and I should have looked at the reviews before coming here. Nope. read more

honestly? this food was great T_T was shocked when i saw the reviews afterwards! fries were freshly made, no salt but oh well T_T. cheeseburger was delicious, the sauce was great too, and the chicken sandwich was hot and crispy. in the jfk terminal 7, i think this place is a lot better than the reputation it seems to have built here...? read more

I ordered a double Cheeseburger. Hot off the grill and quality. It was delicious! The kiosk didn't have the double burger option I wanted and there was a very short line. I was able to place my order with a person, fast and very friendly. If there's a line and it's busy, of course anyone would expect to wait. After my burger I complimented the guy who took my order, I think he was a manager. He appreciated a compliment and told me of the irate people who leave bad reviews. Food and service were good and I will 100% go back. read more

The worst service and the worst I have ever eaten . The was cold the employees were fighting

My burger bun was hard and stale. I ordered bacon for an extra $2.50 and took the burger back because I didn't see any. When the guy looked at it he said, "did you lift the lettuce?" Under the limpy lettuce was 1/2 piece of very thin bacon. It took over 20 minutes to get my order. I took off the top bun because it was so hard. I hated this but the cashier was Ok considering what she had to put up with! read more

Do not recommend. Actually, all the fond spots at JFK terminal 7 look like garbage. True Birger was the only one open at the time. Gotta love the small frie with old, dried out nacho cheese as their $6+ side. These guys got everyone's order wrong in line. Terrible. read more

Service non existent... the lady who was working the counter on Monday Oct 21 st definitely had her priorities straight !! The conversation on her phone... What is sad.... Is the Cooks were doing a great job and actually had to take over for her as she left to deal with her phone call. I am not usually the one to complain on service employees but a new career may be in order. Added is there was self ordering kiosk to take your order. Airport is a hot mess as it is under construction.... But stay away from this restaurant for sure. Food was ok but service non existent. read more

Never got my food. I tried asking how long it takes and the guy in the kitchen started eyeing me and stopped preparing the food, slowly went in the back to open and arrange some boxes. This at 12.15pm, prime lunch rush hour. Had to board the plane instead of waiting for this guy to throw a fit. read more

Cold bun, frozen lukewarm meat, cold and dry ass fries, overpriced, long line bc it's self-order, incredibly regret wasting my $ here. Unfriendly worker so you know nobody is going to complain! Wish I read these reviews first. read more

Absolutely the worst dry burger I have ever had. The bacon cheeseburger had minimal lettuce, one tomato, two small sliced pickles, thin bacon and the burger was dried out puck. read more

Do not go to this place. This is the one in Terminal 7 JFK airport. the workers do not give a damn about their jobs. burger takes 30mins to come out and staff gossiping like nobody's waiting. The whole shift today 4/5/25 7:30pm do not care about their jobs. the girl is nasty. there's a big fat guy at the back who just talk and don't do shit. and then the guy that does the burgers would space out and stare at people then go back to his burgers. oh and burger patties taste like meatloaf. also, they messed up our order, no bacon. @Stuart Gee - check this location. read more

I visit this restaurant in the JFK airport terminal 7 and the line was extremely long. I get to the front finally and I saw the burger Pattie's just sitting on the grill!! They look dark and overcooked... and dry just like the workers faces! They were not pleasant and happy! The burger Pattie's are not fresh at all! I did not order from here and I'm glad I didn't! They are also overpriced! An extra $4 for a extra patty, when a cheeseburger is already $10. read more

Worst airport food experience ever. Thought we left these somewhere 5-10 years ago, but no, this one takes the cake. Bad food, long wait times, non-existent customer service (negative service is a thing?). Bring your own food to this airport. If you didn't do that, grab something premade because the pizza and sandwich place next door is even worse. Good luck friend. read more

This review is for BRITTANY- HORRIBLE attitude. My boyfriend was called up to get his food, when he went to go get it she's GRABBED it out of his hands! Thought he was "taking someone else's food" accusing him of stealing. I went back to ask for some bbq sauce for my fries. She told me with the nastiest attitude ever that I have to pay for those, and there's no cashier to pay for those. I said I already purchased a meal, she goes WHAT meal? I said a combo meal. OF WHAT? WHAT COMBO MEAL? Being so horrible to me. I asked her why she had such a horrible attitude for no reason. She refused to give me any sauce for the fries. Multiple other customers as I was leaving told me they had a similar experience and she has a stinky attitude. Won't be ordering here again. read more

Wish I had checked the reviews before I bothered to try this place. Figured it was the same franchise that I've tried at home, which is normally pretty solid. Burger bun was burnt and hard, burger patty was overcooked and flavorless. Fries were ok. They were at least hot. read more

Staff were rude and abrupt which was not a nice experience. Very unfortunate as food was lovely. Need better people skills and to be more conscious when dealing with the public. read more

A train wreck I couldn't look away from. Staff was incorrigible, food was borderline inedible. I've never seen someone working who is so reluctant to do anything, then act appalled and inconvenienced when they need to do the bare minimum to keep the business running. It's an airport! There's an unwritten rule that things should generally be a bit quicker as people are on schedules. More than 5 times did people need to bail on their order to catch their flight after waiting for 20+ minutes. Refunds were refused and I hope they submit a chargeback. Even airport employees with their limited break time - wasted. The consulting companies that started getting hold of terminal food and bev need to be stopped. This place is a prime example of the detrimental effect they are having. Bring back the known brands that know how to run a business. read more

I genuinely awful experience at an eye watering price. Having had so many really good burgers during my stay in New York, It's disappointing to be going home with the last memory being this establishment. true Burger. my arse. read more

Service is awful, prices are a ripoff, beer is just foam and the burger is disgusting.

Very rude.. Customers order through kiosk machine. Was in line and about to order. The guy at the back was shouting to customers about not having all the ingredients therefore some items not available. Dude don't need to get mad and shout. Ain't nobody got time for that at 08:00 in the morning. A little kindness goes a long way. About 10 people in line but everybody left due to his rudeness. read more

Terrible customer service and incredibly slow food perpetration. The front counter person was simply rude and the cooks were on their phones and were hardly preparing the food. The reviews are accurate. The chicken tenders look nothing like the picture advertised. And the burger was dried and burnt. Think of the school lunch you had in middle school. It's worse than that. The $4 Aquafina water bottle tastes like water though, so I'll give them that. read more

This is not a fast food place. The burger came out cold. Also, the customer service was non-existent. Do not waste your time here.

Their lack of care for making a decent sandwich is present with every bite. Got crispy chicken and it is as bottom of the barrel in terms of chicken quality and condiments. Think cafeteria where they give you a smidge if sauce, cold mushrooms, and nothin else worth mentioning. They are so lucky nothing else is open in this terminal. If I was the owner I'd hire people that can at least give 10% effort. But I can't fathom whomever owns this place cares about satisfaction. $55 bucks for two horrible sandwiches, 1 mediocre frie order, and 2 typical expensive airport beers later....I'd rather be typing this than actually eating. And I'm starving. Buyer beware. read more
