I'd never done Pilates until this week and I think I may be hooked. So far I've taken two classes with Sally and she is awesome. She explains everything very clearly and makes sure everyone has correct form so you don't have to worry about pulling something out of wack. Sally's on it. She won't let that happen. Along with being a well informed and effective instructor Sally is incredibly welcoming and warm. As for Pilates itself, I may have finally found the exercise that I look forward to! Is that possible?? Apparently it is. In the wise words of Kim Kardashian, "It's like an easy workout, but you feel it, so it's not annoying, you know?" I do know, Kim. I certainly feel it.

Sallie takes the time to show you the correct positions in order to avoid injury and target the right muscles. She is willing to stop and answer questions and demonstrates the positions clearly. There seems to be a mix of younger and older participants. The classes are small so you are able to get individual attention. The studio itself is very clean and the decor is classy. I would definitely recommend this studio as a place to try pilates for the first time or continue to take classes!

I found the studio on ClassPass, so I felt a little out of place when I first went (and still do somewhat) because everyone is always talking and seems to know everyone else, and there isn't always someone at the front desk so not sure exactly what to do. But I just stand around awkwardly until I find someone and figure it out. Class wise, they are great and also challenging, and can range from low key to sweating your face off. I enjoy lifting heavy weights and HIIT training mostly, so it's nice to come here and focus on core, smaller muscles, and stretching/rolling out. All the instructors I've worked with are really great. There's no water fountain here tho-- you can buy a bottle or fill up your own bottle from the bathroom sink. I've quit gyms before for that haha, but I think I'll keep taking my occasional classes since I enjoy the workouts so much.

After some research I came to discover Mind Body Barre. I took a Mind Body Barre method class with Caitlin at the Rehoboth location and it was honestly one of the better exercise classes I've taken in recent years. The class runs about an hour and includes elements of ballet, Pilates, and yoga. The class runs at a moderate speed and is accompanied by modern pop music for the entire hour so it really keeps your energy up. The facility is spacious, clean, and well lit. the studio provides all of the equipment you will use in class but I would highly recommend bringing water and a towel. Parking is decent but I would arrive early to get a spot near the entrance. Overall I had a wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to visiting the studio again!

I love the original hot yoga, core fire conditioning, yoga sculpt and power yoga classes. I haven't tried the non-heated classes, but I've heard those are great as well. The manager Jess is always planning something new and fun, so there are special classes, workshops, or social events happening all the time which is so fun! Looking back on it, it probably wasn't a great idea to jump into a one and a half hour hot yoga class for my very first session as I struggled to keep up and was sweating like crazy, but despite all of that, I still loved it and have been doing hot yoga classes ever since at a studio closer to my house. The staff working here are very kind and friendly and were there at the beginning of class welcoming everyone. Even though I couldn't keep up with the class, I was never made to feel uncomfortable about it. The instructor was great at teaching the yoga class.
