I had called a few places around town and ZZZ was able to (A) get me in right away, (B) provide a precise quote for what I thought was the issue over the phone and (C) make me feel immediately "safe" with them in that first call. When asking if I wanted refurb or new parts, the price was about $150 difference. I originally said new, but they advised me about the warranty on refurb parts and not to feel scared of it. I appreciated that they didn't just take my money. Once I arrived, I told them about the previous convo at the auto store and they did some diagnostic tests, all while letting me stand there and watch. About 10-15 minutes later and some dusting stuff off they're like...nah you're good. If anything I needed a new battery, but they said even that was in pretty good shape. They offered to install that for me if I wanted, but basically said that I could just go. Since then, my car has been totally fine! A less ethical place could've easily just cheated me, charged for XYZ or installed a new alternator anyway. So they didn't really do work on my car this time, but their honesty 10000% earned my business for the next time a problem arises.

I came here for an oil change and told them that if they noticed anything they thought needed a tune up - I was game as I was about to make a big cross country trip. They came back and said everything looked great. I ran through the list from the first quote I had and they eased my mind. They let me know that they thought all of that was unnecessary and didn't make sense given the past maintenance and state of the vehicle. It was so nice to feel like I was dealing with honest humans. The choice of what to do or not do was completely mine. There was absolutely NO pressure to approve the other suggested services. They sent a text with pictures of what they found and explained anything/everything I asked about. Again, very much appreciated! I ended up needing new lower front rocker arms & bushings. They also performed an alignment (due to rocker arm replacement) oil change, tire balance & rotation and replaced the engine filter. I could see it was needed based on photos sent via the text. Jake found a replacement kit that included arms and bushings which saved me some money. Yay They also found the tires had been rotated improperly for an AWD. They checked tread wear and put tires in correct position to help them wear more evenly. I am completely satisfied with all levels of service received. Thank you so much Jake and Sunshine.

The staff here is super nice and I feel like they care for my car as if it's their own. On my last repair they asked if they could hold onto my car for another day cause they weren't satisfied with where they got it and wanted to double back and tweak a couple things to hopefully give my car back in as best condition as possible.(this wasn't any extra cost). I also love doing my oil changes here, they check a bunch of other areas of your car while they do the oil change and give you a rundown of recommended fixes. Also if not they have never pressured me on any fixes which eases my mind. Pressure sales in the auto industry feel fake and dishonest to me. Also, they give your car a quick wipe down of the consoles and vacuum as long as your car isn't full of stuff. It feels nice to get your car back a little cleaner than you gave it to them.

Until now…read more Something changed here recently; faces are different and I was harangued by some dude behind the counter about vaccines, not what I was there for. Be my guest, enjoy having sick children, weirdo - I'm here for tires. Yesterday I called this location asking for a specific model and size of Falken tire; I got an assurance that the tires would be there when I arrived today. And some tires were there - just not the right tire or load range for my vehicle. Yesterday I asked for and was promised the Falken AT3w. Today I was told I would get the AT3w "HD", but there isn't such a tire. They ordered a different tire with load range E (one ton trucks and heavier) by mistake, leaving me no real alternative the day before my trip begins. I told them I'd be traveling when I called yesterday - so I had to take these, and they're not great on the Grade. The HD tire is definitely not what I wanted. Flag #1. Flag 2. I didn't ask for a nitrogen fill, and it is not necessary or appropriate for a tire with this amount of volume in western Nevada. The air we breathe every day is 85% nitrogen and there is very little humidity around here; if someone had bothered to ask, I would've rejected nitrogen fill, but by the time I was presented with the bill, guess what ? We were up against all the time I had budgeted, and I had to go. this pushed my bill up considerably, it's 100% profit, and I didn't ask for it, I know enough to know that I don't need it for this application. Flag number three. This one is pretty clever, and it is how they work around their price guarantee. I ended up paying more than I should have per tire due to them ordering the wrong tire, and I'm not afraid to say that the dismissive comments from the person in charge when I asked about the bill were not encouraging. Flag number 4 is the actual dangerous one. All four tires were underfilled, regardless of whether you looked at the sidewalk or the placard inside the drivers door. Sending your customer away in a car, throwing low pressure alerts is a clownish thing to do. It's also incredibly dangerous and sets up a shop for massive liability, especially when they just sold you $4 per corner nitrogen fill. Flag 5 is the fact that they didn't even look at the spare. Despite the fact the truck was aligned with them less than five months ago, they recommended another $175 alignment as well. I regularly participate in track events and have lots of off-road fun. I know what I'm looking for and talking about when it comes to tires, and unfortunately, this store isn't it anymore. I'll take my business elsewhere when I have track tires to mount or tires to buy for my trailer, or tires to buy for any of my four vehicles. You're really don't get another shot with me after days like today.

The measure of good customer service is rectifying issues to the customers satisfaction. Businesses that develop and maintain a customer service mindset are able to learn from mistakes. Off Road Warehouse management acknowledged and accepted their previous mistake and avoided blaming me the customer. It analyzed honestly and objectively what went wrong. It implemented corrective actions. It actively sought to make and keep me and my family members as customers. I added the fifth review star because their management provided good customer service when they publicly addressed and corrected the previous issue that led to my first not-so-glowing review. My husband suggested that I check with Reno Vulcanizing to see if they could perform some of the services. I thought that was a great idea so I made an appointment for a brake fluid flush. I took it in this morning and saw Markus. He was very knowledgeable and couldn't have been nicer. He asked me how I knew I needed to have the brake fluid replaced. I told him that the other shop had recommended it. Before I left, he suggested we go check the fluid. He took a sample of it from the engine, said it was the right color, didn't look dirty and told me that based on the mileage since it was last changed, that it didn't need to be replaced today. I appreciate his honesty and his knowledge. He jokingly told me to save my money. Because of his honesty, integrity, knowledge, and excellent customer service skills, I'm certainly going to take all my cars to Reno Vulcanizing for all future services.
