Renee's has been a trusted spot in our home for years because they make it so easy to order safely. They clearly list all ingredients and allergens on their website, and as someone who deals with gluten and dairy restrictions, I genuinely appreciate that level of care. This time, I ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived quickly and still warm. We tried a variety of things, and one of the standouts was the deep-dish meat lovers pizza with vegan cheese. The crust had that chewy texture I've deeply missed since going gluten-free. It held up beautifully under layers of sauce, melty vegan cheese, and a generous helping of toppings. Bold, rich, and hearty. The chicken wrap surprised me--in a good way. It had a satisfying chew and was packed with toppings and flavor. I also got their cheese flatbread, which had a crispy edge and that deliciously soft center. Now, the fries? Not great. Soggy and under seasoned. My son picked at them but didn't ask for more. Definitely not their strong suit. But the elephant ears made up for it. I think the most important thing to mention is that they have good ranch. As far as a midwestern pizza place goes, this is a really critical credential. The food itself was very good. My niece has celiac and we ordered from here multiple times for delivery. We ordered pizzas, salad, cheese bread, dessert, macaroni, and more. The macaroni is so good that my non-celiac kids devoured it, too. I ate the pizza and really loved it. After seeing this place on TikTok, my friend and I decided to give this place a try since it was close to our home. I probably have drove past this place plenty of times and didn't notice, but since I am allergic to tomatoes, I am iffy about pizza places. When walking in we were warmly greeted by the person behind the counter We decided to place a carryout order. The menu was extensive so many different options for pizza. When I explained that I was allergic to tomatoes the staff offered to sanitize the area for my pizza. Which wasn't necessary, but very thoughtful. We had a really disappointing experience here, especially considering we were dining with children who have severe food allergies. First, there was a bug in the lettuce of my salad, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and food safety. When we tried to ask questions while ordering, the gentleman taking our order would only nod his head instead of responding verbally. That lack of communication was unsettling given how important it is for us to clearly understand ingredients and safety. Overall, the restaurant did not feel as clean or well-maintained as we would expect, which only added to our concerns. What really stood out, though, was how the staff handled (or didn't handle) another situation in the restaurant. An older couple nearby accidentally dropped their pizza on the floor. Staff noticed but made no effort to help, check on them, or offer a replacement. We ended up going over ourselves and buying them a new pizza. We even informed the staff about what happened, and still, no one acknowledged the couple or offered any kind of assistance. The couple later came to thank us and shared that they had driven over an hour to eat there, which made it even more disappointing that the restaurant showed so little care. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, attentiveness, communication, and basic customer service--especially in situations involving food safety--left us with a very poor impression. read more

I saw that they offered gluten free but had no idea they were 100% gluten . So glad it didn't click for me right away because I would have walked away from a delicious dining experience. Guess I'm a gluten free dough fan because what I ordered was so good all because it was so different! Enjoyed the taste and texture of the dough. I ordered both a pizza and calzone. I'm not the biggest fan of tomato sauce but absolutely loved theirs. I could eat a vat of it easily! What I didn't enjoy were their fries and wings. The wings come naked (absolutely no seasoning at all). I'm a fan of plain wings and if you are too you will need to order one of their sauces to go on top for any type of flavor. I also ordered loaded fries and theirs were very similar to Five Guys fries which I don't care for at all. All in all, this is a spot I am looking forward to frequenting again. well, this place doesn't suck. despite changing their name years ago, "renee's pizza" is what you're looking for when you're trying to find this place. my girlfriend and i ordered pick up and got a 16" thin crust pizza, cheesebread, fries, and a calzone for an unsavory total of... $72. yikes! gotta love that gluten-free *and* vegan tax. first off... adding "light" for the vegan cheese is a must. it almost always is. not only that, they charge you $3 instead of $6, and as you can see, there's still plenty. the pizza was great honestly. i'm not usually a fan of new york style crusts, but this works. their dough is surprisingly pliable and chewy for being gluten free which is a big thumbs up. my only real knock on this is that the "roasted garlic" we added was the jarred stuff. you know.. the kind that's peeled by chinese prisoners' teeth (don't watch "rotten" on netflix, seriously) -- but i digress. the cheesebread is whatever. it's on the same thin crust that their pizza is, and it's just sad and kind of lifeless... reminiscent of what Blaze Pizza calls cheesebread. a sprinkle of vegan parmesan and/or some garlic salt would improve this a lot. it's not bad, just mid as hell. i'd pass on a second visit. the calzone looked awful but was actually pretty incredible. the size of it was decent, the fillings were pretty plentiful... not much negative to say here except it'd be made better with a brush of garlic butter. mm, mm. their fries come off very... five guys. which is good if you're like me and actually enjoy a greasy-and-kinda-soggy fry. they hit the spot, and for someone with celiac (my girlfriend), it was nice to be able to order some deep fried fries and not have to settle with some air fried ore ida at home. as a whole, renee's -- er... Tru... -- is a pretty impressive gluten free place with solid vegan options. previous years' photos of their vegan options look atrocious, but it looks like the new owners have found out how to melt the cheese (which is sad.. it ain't hard). my only kindawish is that they'd have plant-based meats on the menu, but when this relatively small amount of food was already $72, i can see why they don't bother to offer it. absolutely worth a look if you want vegan pizza and/or a celiac friendly option in the area. read more

I was very excited to give this place a try after reading the first couple of reviews. I placed my order online via their website: 2 - 12" pizza, 20 wings to be delivered = $80. I received a confirmation email at 8:24pm that the expected delivery time was 45 minutes. At 9:25pm I get a text from the restaurant saying my pizza will be delivered by 9:38pm. At 9:46pm the next text says my order was cancelled. Not a great experience. A disappointed household and I sure hope my card wasn't charged. read more

We tried something out of our wheel house. Gluten free pizza and breadsticks. Which turned out to my amazement to be pretty good. We ordered a New York thin crust, 12" with cheese and pepperoni plus breadsticks. Almost forgot the Towne Club grape. The breadsticks were boring, bland and a little heavy. The ranch and marinara helped with the sticks. The pizza was out quick like lightning quick and it wasn't bad. Cost was $23.30. Excellent service. This is my second time trying them; the first time I only had a calzone and it seemed fine but I was also very hungry so I didn't noticed anything good or bad about it lol But this time I had a calzone (again), vegan Mac & cheese, and a elephant ear.......The calzone doesn't taste like anything; I can't even taste the veggies...nothing has flavor to it and what's even more weird is I added roasted garlic as one of my toppings. We were greated by a friendly young guy who was patient as it was our first time in. It is a small 10 table dining room but promptly cleaned as customers left. So nice to be able to let the kids order whatever without worrying about gluten! We got several things to share.. a chipotle deep dish, NY style pepperoni, cheese sticks and park truffle fries. I am so fed up! We order from here once a week and the same lady at the register is soooo rude!! She tells me on the phone my order will be ready in 20 min so I get there in that time! I get there oh it will be 5 min! 10 min go by I inquired again! Oh sorry we have a new traine who doesn't know what she is doing! I talked to you on the phone not her I recognize the voice! Now it has been 20 min and I'm frustrated! Then they bring me my pizza and it was a larger size than I ordered! My first experience was great, i felt confident eating a restaurant that I know is gluten free, and as some who is milk free, that there were options I could have. My second experience was alright, I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were great, but the chicken was so dry It hurt my jaw after a few bites. Maybe it was a bad batch, but I was working a 12 hour shift so all I could eat were the fries and couldn't do much about it. Amazing gluten free pizza!!! This place is absolutely incredible - you cannot tell the pizza is GF. We had a thin crust margherita that was total New York style. Huge slices that are deliciously floppy. The deep dish meat lovers had a crusty chew and packed with meat. This place was a great find and appreciate that everything is GF. You will love it for the taste though and should try it regardless of if you need to eat GF.
