Nice newer hotel and everything was clean and well kept. I like Tru for the city mural in the lobby and this one didn't disappoint. The breakfast has some interesting fare like a yogurt parfait machine and biscuit and gravy. Plenty of parking. The property is accessible through the Wal-Mart parking lot. Trendy and clean spot stop for a night during a road trip. Free coffee/tea offered 24 hours as well as a water and ice station available. Small snack store offered to purchase via room or debit card. Breakfast offered daily from 7am-10am and a check out at noon. Gaming center on the main floor where the lounge area is located. Beds were spotless and comfortable. TVs new with free ways of streaming movies as well as free WiFi. Honestly I have nothing to complain about other than wanting my shower water to be slightly hotter than experienced. I will consider Tru again in the future pending I return back to Longview. Happy Yelping! read more

It's not a very good hotel at all. The pool has no water in it. When I got in to my room there were half drank bottles in the fridge. I let the front desk know and got a "sorry". The walls and doors are pretty thin. The staff that I have encountered have been nice. There is one girl who was working at night and she looked skittish and like she was afraid to be there. Probably shouldn't work the Night shift. Won't be staying here again. read more

It's a brand new property in Longview. It's clean. All I can say nice. If you're looking for quiet, peaceful FORGET IT! Booked 2 nights. Tried to cancel the 2nd. First night kids athletic team stating. NO control over them and complained and got a sorry. Second night - walls PAPERTHIN! That's all I'll say. Not only did we complain about the couple that was literally up all night moaning and screaming and pounding the walls, other guests did this morning as well too. All we were told was "sorry". 2' nights barely any sleep, multiple complaints and the staff could not give 2 hoots! Horrible horrible customer service! read more

This hotel is one of the worst we have stayed at. - The rooms are TINY for how expensive this place is. A room with 2 queen beds is barely big enough to allow 2 people to be in and walk around without bumping into something. - You can hear through the walls on both sides and the ceiling. And clearly hear the people's conversations. - The water pressure in the shower is horrible. - Our lock on our door does not work. - There is no space to put things, no dresser, and the furniture seems like IKEA furniture. read more

CHECK YOUR BILL for double charges! I was billed double and the GM Nikki was never available - unresponsive & never returned my calls. I had to escalate this issue to the CEOs office only to have the GM lie and say that she's spoken with me and resolved the issue. It makes sense that this hotel is run by an inept GM - her employees are badly in need of training. I realize the talent pool is pretty slim in East Texas but do better, Hilton. read more

I should've checked yelp! Front desk clerk was so rude no smile no hello wouldn't even look up until i asked her was she ok. Asked me was my dog a service dog. Why its a pet friendly hotel. Then she tried to charge my card again after i had already paid via hotels.com then woke up from the dead and loudly voiced your card declined. Showed her the receipt and checked her screen and expedia was up. Yes, it's a security feature for double charges. Had me shook thinking i booked wrong so I gave another card then made her call her manager who had her void the charge. 1st she wanted to let me know how long shes been doing this and "knew what she was doing" She apologized but like i told her your attitude couldve prevented this. You chose this job. My bed smells like sweat...so gross... Rooms are super small. No closet in this one. The rooms are tiny. The walls are paper thin. If someone in the room next to you is peeing you can literally hear the pee hitting the water. If they are on the phone, you can hear their entire conversation word for word and the person on the other end of the phone most of the time. The fans blow constant on the AC units in the rooms no matter if they are on or off so the rooms stay extremely humid at all times. The thermostats only turn down to 64 to 65 in the rooms but it feels 75 in there. The lady that wears the mask at the front desk 3 years after the fact is pretty rude and she really don't move out of her chair much. Other than all that, this is a newer hotel. read more

I should have checked Yelp first. If I can give this place a no star, I will. This place is horrible. Checked in at 0130 for 2 rooms. My room was dirty. The bed was slept on. Called the front desk, she apologized and said a lot of housekeeping quit. Second room I was on there were hairs on the shower, one shower towel. Too tired to complain especially I have an appointment with a realtor at 1100. Do not stay here for the love of god. This is one of the worst place I've stayed but not as bad as Ramada in Jersey with cockroach in room ( it's up there though) read more

The best part of Tru is Aaron at the front desk! I made a reservation online for my elderly mother. She was going to be checking in by herself and I wanted to make sure she didn't have any issues, so I called and spoke with Aaron. He was awesome! Mom said the room was huge (handicap room) and very clean. She liked the minimalist style and loved the automatic blackout shades. The bed was comfy and the included breakfast was good. read more

Very disappointed. I had a reservation Your Jan-19-2021 Confirmation #3131192345 and when arriving at the hotel, the night front desk manager said that there were no rooms. This is very disappointing as there were no more rooms available. I will never stay at a Hilton property again and recommend you do not either. read more

The room is extremely small. After we got to the room, it was so small that both of us barely walked in the room without bumping into each other. Because of the size of the room and the proximity of the bed to the air conditioner and the chair, I walked between them and got hurt with the platform of the bed. I got my leg scratched and later on I got my knee scratched too. Let me clarify that neither my husband nor I are fat. Also, when I washed my hands in the lavatory I noticed some water on the floor which I dried with tissues and you are not going to believe how black the tissues were. The picture talks by itself. Also, I had a problem with the clerk, who was rude to me. On Sept. 14, I informed Ms. Nikki Peyton, General Manager, about how rude the clerk was to me during check in and about my experience with the room including the injury. On Sept. 14, she answered, apologized and asked me for the confirmation number and the name used for the reservation. On Sept. 15, I told Ms. Peyton what the confirmation number was and what name was used for the reservation. On Sept. 16, Ms. Peyton thanked me for the information provided and said, "I will look into it and see what I can do for you." Because she did not get in touch with me anymore, I contacted her on Nov. 2. She did not answer my e-mail, so I contacted her again on Nov. 4 and sent her the pictures of my injuries and another picture of the tissue I used to dry the floor of the bathroom, which was disgusting, black after I dried the floor. It was obvious that the bathroom floor had not been cleaned for months. As of today, Ms. Peyton has not contacted me again. If you like closet size rooms, third grade kid desks, get hurt in the room, walk on a nasty floor, being treated badly by the clerk and be basically ignored by the general manager, then stay there. Horrible hotel. Football tables in the lobby close to my room and kids running and screaming like idiots. Took four trips to the front desk to get a room! First time he gave me the wrong key, second time all the way to fourth floor and the room was dirty with unmade beds. Finally got a room but not what I requested as I am in the first floor where hundreds of kids screaming and running! Will check out ASAP in the morning and get out of here. Carpets in hallway dirty elevators dirty and tables in lobby filthy. Do not stay here! You will regret it. Got charged 25 extra bucks for room incidentals but there are no incidentals, no water, no hair dryer nothing! Rip off! read more
