About 3 years later, still the same excellent service. I've since moved to Canyon County, and went out of my way to come back to this exact location to get my Emission Test done, primarily due to how quick, painless, and organized this gentleman that runs this little shack operates. Total time was about 5 minutes, no appointment, no wait, no nonsense, no up-selling on anything (reason why I rather come here vs some local shop that will find something to up-sell you on (oil change, brake check, anything...)). I'm super picky about who I let work on my car (I do all my own repairs / service), so I try and limit who I let service my car. I fully trust this gentleman at this location. Even though this location is located in Ada County, Canyon County people can still come here and get tested. Total price for the test is $20. If you're from Canyon County, you get a $2 off coupon automatically added, bringing your total to $18. If you're from Ada County, you get a $2 off coupon from their website or Facebook page, bringing your total to $18. You can't combine both offers. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. 5 stars EASY. Don't even waste your time looking for other places for Emission Testing. I arrived around 9:45am one morning last week for an emissions test. Was in and out in less than six minutes. The guy was helpful and explained how they send the "pass" info to the state. Assuming you have no reason to expect a "fail" on your emissions test I highly recommend this place. read more

TRT Emissions Testing did an EXCELLENT job of doing my mini van's emissons test. They were very friendly and made sure everything was done under optimal conditions rather than just treating us like another test to cross off. I'm sure that doing emissions testing isn't the most exciting thing in the world to do all day but they sure seemed like they were happy to be there and take care of us as customers. Stopped by tonight VERY close to their closing time and John was so helpful and accommodating. He went above and beyond in taking care of this late arrival! People like me drive me crazy - showing up at the last minute (and did I mention it was due a week ago?) - it's been on my to-do list for weeks! He had such a sweet disposition and when I said how thankful I was and that I literally couldn't go home to the husband without proof this was done - he joked back that "well, we can't have that!" This was the first time for me to get a vehicle emission tested in Idaho. I didn't really know what to expect. But Tom was very patient with me and walked me through the process.
