Nothing special here. Same old same old. Average to below average food. We won't be back.

This fun place is in the old Chillax building. We went there on a Sunday with another couple, and…read morewe stayed all afternoon. They had some great drink specials and we tried quite a few. We shared appetizers and enjoyed the music. The waitstaff and barstaff were extremely friendly, as were the other patrons. We will be back during a time when they have live music, because I'm sure that is a lot of fun.

Spouse and I stopped in one night for the first time after we finished a murder mystery event…read morethinking we could get some late night bar food and a drink or two. We got seated at a tiny table right by the door which was very drafty. After getting menus, we were told they could only make us pizza (pepperoni or cheese) and maybe 1 or 2 types of finger foods. It was somewhere between 9-9:30pm so it seemed early in our opinion for the kitchen to be closed already on a Friday night, but nothing we could do to change it. If I recall the appetizer options were mozzarella sticks or toasted ravioli, but not 100% certain on that part cause it didn't appeal to us. We ordered the cheese pizza since I don't eat pork products. It was very thin with a cardboard like crust that was overly cooked on the edges (see pic with brunt crust), but the middle part was full of gooey cheese. The balance on the pizza was just off since it was overcooked on outer edges. We were starving and our options were slim so we ate it anyways. Lol The waitress offered us some complimentary popcorn from a machine in the back of the bar and then went over the speciality drink menu they had which was probably the best part of our entire experience. They do have some very eccentric libations to choose from. I chose the lavender martini (very tasty) and my spouse got a blackberry old fashioned which he also loved. The ambiance is just okay if singing karaoke completely off key with country folks is your thing. They do have some televisions for sports viewing, but this is not what I would call a "speak easy" or a sports bar. We love doing karaoke, but the vibe at this place just wasn't working for us. Overall, I would say the drink menu is what's keeping this place afloat unless people don't care about the food they eat or the company they surround themselves with. Would try again, but with a larger group of people ready to take over the karaoke scene in full force and during earlier hours so we can attempt to get some bar food too other than pizza. Also, we were coming from the murder mystery event so we were dressed up more than anyone else in the place and we felt like outsiders. This is definitely a Jean and T-shirt kind of establishment.

The restaurant is the atypical Cracker Barrel layout and clean, well staffed. The food was quick, hot and accurate. What more can you ask for. No surprises here, it's a reliable.

We've visited this location several times over the past 2 decades of living in this area, but…read moresomething is definitely going downhill there. Our last three visits over which have been since early December included one dinner and two times for a very late breakfast/early lunch. The service has always been great, but the food was lousy and not consistent. I always get fried okra when I go there because very few places have it and no one else in my family eats it. Each time we went I ordered it and each time it got worse. I'm beginning to think the've changed their supplier or the oil they're using to fry it is not changed often enough. I ordered the chicken and dumplings on two of my visits and both times it was bad. One time there was way too much chicken that it seemed like I had gotten the tenderloin dinner since there were no dumplings just a little bit of white gray and chicken maybe two dumplings total. The next time I ordered it, the meal had very little chicken and the dumplings were undercooked and doughy but the worst part was the broth was like a huge pool of water. It didn't even taste like chicken broth. My dad got sausage patties with his breakfast entree and he said they were very overcooked and chewy. He also said they had a weird greasy taste so I definitely think the fryer oil is bad or needs cleaning. My spouse ordered mashed potatoes with his chicken fried steak and they were ice cold and the had white peppered country gravy on them instead of a typical beef or turkey gravy. He asked for new potatoes but we were told the only gravy they have now is the white gravy. The didn't even offer to reheat the potatoes after he said he didn't want white gravy on his potatoes. The waitress said people have been pretty disappointed with the place since corporate changed up the entire menu. The got rid of lots of items and added some rather odd things. I don't think we will be back until we start hearing better news from others about their experiences. For now, I'll just go into the country store for merchandise as they do have nice gifts there, but no food for this family.
