Great service. On time. Thorough clean-up. We installed a high voltage charger. Our garage is far from our service drop, but the tech, Victor, who came out to estimate the job found a clever way to use a secondary distribution box and save us over $2,000. He did a thorough walk-through of our home, inside and out, to determine exactly what our power need would be. The written estimate came the next business day. Victor advised us on where all the work would be done, and how. When it came time to do the installation, Victor headed the crew that was here all day. The work went exactly as proposed, with "no ups and no extras." At one point Victor asked me to join him in the garage. Concerned, I asked if anything was wrong. He said, "No. If we have a problem, we solve the problem. I just want to get your approval on the right height for the charger." This pretty much summarized their approach. Thye plan thoroughly, and do the work professionally. There are no shortcuts; they used first rate materials; they pulled a permit, and arranged the final inspection. Everything passed, of course. This was not an inexpensive job, but Hegge's labor rates and material charges are not at all out of line. There was just a lot of work to do. Everyone - the owner of the company, the office staff, the electricians - was cheerful, professional, super-responsive, and consistently on-time. I found Hegge Electric on Yelp and I'm glad I did. Home Depot had given me 3 contractors- none of whom could get me job done in the allotted time frame. Victor Martinez did an excellent job putting in a ceiling fan where there was no prior wiring. He made my timing requirements work by checking for cancellations for me. Even though Home Depot sent me the Wrong fan - he made it work somehow.! He and his assistant Carlos were very neat and clean. They took time to cover the furniture and remove all debris afterward. Hegge is by far the best company I have ever used. My initial phone contact was with Sherryl the owner and she was great. She explained everything to me so there would be no surprises and there were none. Francisco installed canned lighting in 2 rooms and a ceiling fan. His work ethic is above and beyond. Francisco put bags over the cans so when he drilled into the drywall it wouldn't make a mess. That in itself was impressive. His attention was to make sure everything was perfect and it was. Hegge was a recommended installer by the ClipperCreek manufacturer of wall charging systems for electric/plug-in hybrid vehicles. They did an amazing job of taking care of all of the Riverside County pre-installation permit requests and permit inspections after the installation. Their bid was based on a very careful analysis of my home's electrical system capacity. Hegge did an EXCELLENT installation job of designing and installing a complex dual-charger set-up inside of my garage. The job was done quickly, professionally and the post-installation clean-up was meticulous. The conduit installed throughout the garage is very clean and professional grade. I had a couple of jobs done by Hegge in the past that went okay. So recently we hired them to do a bunch of electrical projects around the house. The electrician brought a young assistant to help (whom I also had to pay several hundred $ for!). First off, this is a retired gay household, and this young twit was afraid to even look at us, let alone talk to us. Um... this is Palm Springs honey; grow up, you're acting like a moron. You're not going to 'catch it' being in my house. The entire visit he sulked around, avoiding any eye contact; only talked a bare minimum. After they left, I inspected some of his work closer - crooked switches, broken switch plate, switch plates missing screws. He couldn't even properly install light switches?!?. And the I guess the electrician, Victor, was just A-okay with the shoddy work, as he let it pass, so he is as guilty of the lousy work. Never again. I am totally annoyed that Hegge allowed this unqualified creep to do anything, and permanently annoyed that there was a specific charge for this untrained and unprofessional 'assistant'. Afterwards, I didn't receive a follow up call from Hegge, as promised, nor did they bother to fix the broken switch plate. Hegge will never get my business again. This assistant's work was messy & unprofessional, and it appears that Hegge was fine with it. I'm not! (I'm sure they'll be sorry that they won't even get to bid on my upcoming solar/battery project; tsk). read more

I have post one review before and Sherryl asked Yelp to remove it. I hope they won't do it this time because I have proof of pictures showing their tech were here at my business. Sherryl claimed to Yelp that she didn't have me as her customers based on her business record! My previous post was about charging the estimate without telling me up front. The 2 tech came in for the estimate of adding a new outlet in the room. It took them 45 min. to figure out how to do it! They quote me $800 to get it done. I told them that was out of my budget for adding an outlet. I have left Sherryl a message to let her know the situation. Next morning, her tech showed up and ask for $100 estimate work. I told him that the lady who talked to me on the phone never mention about that, so I assumed there was a free estimate! But the tech guy said it will be free if I order the service, otherwise there is a fee! I have called Sherryl to talk about that, and she said I have to pay for the estimate because the tech guys spend 45 min. to work on it. ( Seriously!? They ain't doing nothing but dragging the ladder back and forth to look at the electrical line!) I have paid them the charge, but I wasn't happy because of their hassle service! I have called the other electrician who add 2 outlets (not one!) for a fraction price of $120, and took him 30 min. To get it done! Five star business doesn't mean they are perfect!! read more

This is the second time in 60 days I have used Hegge. I requested a quote for another job as I was very satisfied with the first work they completed for us. Francisco and Chris arrived for the job, which took the part of two days. They were polite, courteous, respectful of our home, and did impeccable work. We had numerous LED ceiling lights placed throughout our living area. What attention to detail! Francisco ensured everything was in line. No damage at all to the ceiling. They cleaned up when they were completed. One day they were going to arrive about 15 minutes late and called to notify me. I can't imagine using any other electrician except Hegge. We recently had Francisco come out to fix a ceiling fan that was not working. A previous electrician had looked at it and given up. I had some special requests, such as hooking it up to run off our wall switch with no remote. He quickly diagnosed the issue, ran out to get the part he needed. He returned soon after and installed it, now it all works exactly as requested! Terrific guy and very knowledgeable and friendly! So very pleased with the results! I wanted to retrofit with LED cans (18!) and install new in 3 bedrooms, master bath and living room with a cathedral ceiling and a ceiling fan in living room; the Living room was no easy task. . Not only was Hegge the best estimate of 4 others but Victor was the only electrician to take the time to measure the existing cans and bring samples to make sure the cans fit. He took the time to plan placement ahead to have the least dry wall damage. The work was clean professional and everything works. Victor himself did the work along with a trainee fortunate to learn from Victor. This is our 5th home and we have had electrical work done in all. Hegge is the best of all. Francisco just left our house and I am one happy Homeowner. Our house needed to have an electrical socket rewired to work the new washer I bought. Then I needed ceiling fans installed. While he was here we decided to add a couple of sockets in the garage. And an occupancy sensor to turn lights on in the garage when we walk in He suggested we retrofit the lights in the house to LED, which we had done in the old house and it made sense. I found Hegge Electic on yelp, I love Yelp. I have found the best, most competent, fair businesses on Yelp! Anyway back to Hegge Electric...I bought a home and wanted a real electrician so I hired Hegge. Francisco comes out, adorable. Very respectful of my home and great customer service. He hung 3 ceiling fans and a chandelier for me as well as switched out my patio light fixture. There were missing parts for chandelier and ceiling fan needed longer pole....that wasn't stopping him...he left and got what he needed and came back to do the job. He also installed several smoke detectors with co2, some led lights, and fixed issue with photocell exterior light. A week later he came back when I discovered there was no 240v 3 prong receptor for dryer. I'm telling you nothing stumps this guy. Thank you for a great job at a fair price! read more

Great customer service. I had Hegge Electric install an outlet in my garage for my new plug in EV. They came out for an estimate, they applied for and received the city permit (you need one!), and then came out to do the installation. In all aspects, professional, friendly, and competent. Their staff Rosie via email was excellent in terms of keeping me informed of what is going on and very responsive. I was able to get a rebate from SCE as a result. The reason I am posting a great review today is because I am grateful. I asked them on Friday to come back out to check the outlet (after 6 months went by) because my EV charger was not working. They came out the same day as my request and checked everything out, double checking the line. It turns out my EV charger is defective. That is costly for me personally but Hegge was gracious and did not charge me for the extra visit. That is great customer service. read more

16 months ago on 1/18/18, I wrote that " I wish I had a Hegge for everything, not just electrical.". Today, Victor Martinez came because a bathroom exhaust fan was not up to par. He removed the fan and motor and cleaned out a huge amount of leaves and dirt from the duct. Put it back together, perfect, price very reasonable. More importantly, he and the three from Hegge have been the nicest of guys to work with. From 1/18/18: I live in the valley six months and East Coast 6 months. I have used Hegge three times. In 2005, Jose Santos replace 2 kitchen fluorescents with 6 recessed cans and then put in 4 additional recessed cans with its own dimmer in eating area where there had been only a fan with a bad light. In 2011, Francisco Montano put in an additional recessed can in a dimly lit closet. On 1/18/18, Francisco repaired loose wiring leading to a frequently tripping GFCI and corrected a blown circuit with a GFCI. These guys are expert, quick, neat, friendly, and prices are so reasonable for what they do. They are so neat that when they are done, you can't tell that what was new was not there before.
