Today was my first time at this salon…read more The salon is very easy to get to because it's right across the street from the parking garage on Fleet St. and also around the block from the smaller lot by Hanover St. I saw Lauren for my single process color and haircut. We talked about my color and cut and Lauren was right on par with exactly what I wanted. She was very nice, welcoming and open to what I wanted. I started with unevenly colored hair, long root growth and old faded dye on the other bottom half. I was looking to be rid of the faded reddish color and start going lighter so that eventually I can have a much lighter brown. The color came out nice! It's a nice lighter brown and looks a lot more even. The haircut was just what I wanted, shorter and a little layering with texture. She gave me options of styling it and parting it differently. Very happy that I found this salon and a stylist I am happy with in Portsmouth! My fiancé will be going for his haircut there next week!

I decided on a whim three days before I started a new job back in June to start having my hair cut and dyed professionally. I asked some friends for recommendations and perused Yelp, of course. Oomph was highly recommended and bonus was you could book online. I got a consultation for color and a haircut with Kristin. I've now been back two times and I love my hair! The experience is great and I always come out feeling confident and happy. My hair is shinier, softer and more beautiful than ever and I'll never go anywhere else. If you are looking for a salon in the seacoast area, you won't be disappointed. The service and expertise you'll get at Oomph would be hard to beat. She told me that because of my hair color and condition, true lavender all over wouldn't be possible, so she adapted and added a darker purple in places where lavender wouldn't cover, to make sure I was all purple and it turned out SO cool.
