I'm allergic to a bunch of other brands, so finding someone who actually understood that and could work with it was huge. Loretta was immediately kind, knowledgeable, and totally unfazed by my ingredient sensitivities. Since switching to her, my hair has been looking better than ever -- vibrant, glossy, and super natural-looking, all without any irritation. She pays attention to the details, asks the right questions, and genuinely listens to what you want. Here's me on Thanksgiving morning, the day after my latest appointment. If you want a colorist who knows hair and makes you feel completely comfortable in the chair, Loretta is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

I have extremely curly hair that has been my nemesis for the past forty years. I've pretty much…read morefigured it out, but as I keep it long I find myself putting it into a ponytail most every day that ends in Y, and I just don't think it looks professional. Plus, there is a balance between having really long hair to weigh down/control the curl...and not having a shape, just having a big mop of long hair that hangs there and doesn't look intentional let alone professional. I searched a bit on Yelp for hair cuts and salons for curly hair and learned about the Deva Cut. I figured I'd try this salon and was so pleased that I did! The Deva Cut is a dry cut with natural care and styling products and specific techniques meant to tame frizz and encourage curls at the same time. The Deva way of thinking is to stop fighting curl and to embrace it by making it look better than you ever imagined possible. Melanie, the salon owner, is the one Paragon staffer who is trained in the Deva cut. I found her to be polished, nice, a bit quiet, and very thoughtful and careful in the way she handled me and my hair. She was most definitely not a traditional chatty, gum-chewing, long fingernailed fashion diva wannabe. She paid attention to what I said and I did not cut too much or attempt to persuade me to change the style or color of my hair. Setting up the appointment was pleasant, Melanie was on time, and the receptionist was nice. The salon is comfortable but not flashy or overly luxurious. Melanie was able to trim and shape my hair without losing too much length and also the got rid of the scraggly bits at the center of my back, which I had due to a U-shaped cut. I left with incredibly curly, healthy-looking hair and a lot of excitement about trying the Deva way of life. Also worth noting is that my hair was just as curly the following morning (it usually flattens out quite a bit when I sleep on it). If you like or hate your curls, try Melanie and the Deva way of hair care!
