But expect that as soon as you start brushing a comb through your hair, you're going to find several imperfections that you're going to have to trim yourself. Normally I don't fuss if this happens here or there... but I'm finally admitting to myself it's EVERY TIME. And the staff always seems as though they're hurrying to get you out the door, even if you're the only customer in the shop. Perhaps if they took a few moments more, they would notice that they left a patch in the back a full two inches longer than anywhere else. The stylist ignored my verbal instructions and the note on file in the computer. Destroyed me hair and left is drastically shorter than I had asked for and incredibly uneven. This was a cut in preparation for a week of business meetings. The stylist was unapologetic even after noting that he had ignored the verbal instructions and the written notes. I recently went to Great Clips and I do not understand your policy. I got there about an hour after they had opened. There were two people waiting for someone to cut their hair. I sat down, they never asked for my name. I am a regular customer ! After about 10 minutes they finally asked. Questionable ! So, they called the two people that were there to get a haircut, understandable ! A man walked in and the schedule changed. He was before me! I am confused. Then a lady came in but decided she could not wait and left! Then a young girl came in and they took her right away! I am confused now. I was there roughly about 45 minutes waiting. I would give 0 stars if I could. I honestly can't believe the level of unprofessionalism of the people working here. I took my mixed son in from a TRIM so his hair could grow LONGER, with a month before his birthday just incase it didn't come out well. By the end my sons hair went from 6-7 inches to 1.5-2 inches, as well as none of the hairs being even on his head! I went to this salon with great hesitation. My son uses a regular priced barber that is hard to get Into because the school time. I met Amy at the door very pleasant and signed me right in. They have very limited hours, and desperately need more barbers. My biggest complaint is that they make you select a "suggested" tip on a computer screen when you are paying; with the stylist who cut your hair 2 feet from your face watching your decision. Do Not go here. They butchered my son's hair and he wasn't even moving around or anything. Sat there quietly and she still butchered it. There are sections and patches on my son's head. My wife been cutting my son's hairs and it came out more professional than here. I just thought it would be nice to have a professional stylist cut my son's hairs but definitely did not find a professional there. I don't like this one. It's annoying the girl there was friendly but she dug into my hair with her clippers so hard she was pulling my hair and making bald spots all over my scalp. It hairy like a bastard. I didn't say anything but you think she be like am I hurting you. When you wear a mask it's hard to see expression from customers, but during this crazy time you have to. Sorry - had to change my mind on this one. The staff does a great job, from a technical perspective. From a service perspective, however (I mean, they ARE in the service industry, right?) I'm just no longer impressed. I was in the area on business.. and stopped in after having been in a couple of weeks prior. Since you can't just walk in anymore you must make arrangements on line for service. When I arrived, someone greeted me at the door and called me by name - I assume from the reservation. I requested the person I'd had before and the person who greeted me winced... (odd reaction).. "Ooooohhh... not sure if that's possible. Don't know if he's taking 'requests' today or not." (All I could think of was.. well, he must be on his way out ..or to a funeral.. or something. How many people in the salon business don't LOVE to have repeat clientele, right? What am I missing here... Isn't it all about revenue? Isn't it all about tips in this business?) So sure enough, the same person came back to the door and said.. I'm sorry, he's not doing requests this afternoon. No explanation .. nuthin. So I said.. ok - best of luck to you.. and left. In my own business I move heaven and earth for my clients if I can. Brought my 6yo son to get his hair cut, and a Grey haired woman (large in size) stood up and said he needs to put a mask on, when I asked why he is 6yo she said because he cannot get vaccinated. Very simulator to how someone would talk to a dog and their master entering a store. When I politely asked another question on the topic she said in a loud voice HAVE A NICE DAY! don't care about who or why these rules are being initiated, this isn't how you do business period. I went to Great Clips to have my hair all cut off. I had just found out I was to have my leg amputated. They were wonderful to me and very supportive. I also found out that I could donate my hair to Wigs for Kids. My hair cut was free. I could feel better about what was happening to me and be able to know I still could make a difference. Super friendly staff, I love that I'm able to check in online or while using the Great Clips app on my phone. The girl at the front desk can be a little snippy with customers sometimes, but the stylists, especially Kat and Keith, are amazing.
