About 3 weeks prior to getting my haircut at Studio Clips, My hair had been cut somewhere else and was totally butchered. But making an appointment here was fast, easy, and convenient for me. I had Kari as my hair dresser. She was nice and did my haircut the way I wanted it. I'm very particular about how my bands are cute and where my part is placed. I am pleased with my hair cut, but the rest, not so much. Pictures are attached!! I also got a balayage. Now, I had reference pictures and showed them to her. I also mentioned that I am in a professional line of work, so crazy and over colourful hair was out of the question. I just wanted a bit of texture to my hair as it was virgin hair for years. As you can see, it turned out NOTHING like how I wanted it or like the pictures. She bleached way more of my hair then I expected. And that amount of color was much more than the pictures I had as reference. I did pick bad colors, but I also didn't realize that pretty much my entire head would those colors. I was openly displeased after I saw just how bad it was, she basically said it was my fault I didn't like it because I 'picked the colors' and 'must not have understood what a balayage was.' She said I could come back and she could darken it for me. But I decided buying a box of color for 8$ would be better than paying the price to fix it there. Thankfully, I only paid half price for the balayage since it was my first time going. Not only did it turn out horrible, my appointment was at 3 and she said it would take about 3 hours. I ended up leaving close to 730 or 8. I asked her to straighten my hair as I was ready to leave and didn't want to wait for her to curl my hair. She then said that it won't look right because the picture I showed her had a beach wave style, which is supposed to bring out a balayage. Knowing I was unsatisfied, but not blaming her, she preceded to say how great my hair cut was and how great my coloring turned out and all the fixings. There is nothing I dislike more than when a beautician boats about their work knowing I don't like it. I would go back for a hair cut, but probably not for anything else. read more

I recently moved to the area and needed a new salon. I basically stumbled on to this place and took a chance. The salon is cool- lots of product, couches, free coffee (yay!), nice, cool vibe. I was booked with Adam- A long haired, tattoo covered, musician / artist / hair dresser. He was awesome! My hair was a bit of a mess, lots of blond and brown colors, weeks past my appointment. I told him the jist of what I was looking for and he ran with it. It came out great! He gave me lots of brightness, tones, but natural looking at the same time, no streaky highlights AND made sure I have a nicer looking grow out cause I tend to push my appts 8-10 weeks. Fantastic place and super affordable. After a few botched haircuts I needed someone to just even everything out without having to cut off all my hair. I called and they were able to schedule me for a half hour later if I could make it in. I figured with half off the first service and my hair being already a mess what do I have to lose. I was scheduled with Adam and he was very friendly and listened to what I wanted and all of my hair concerns. He came up with a plan and went through the hair cut in steps to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. First the "repair" where he evened the overall shape out and we talked about length. Then he started the "trimming up and texture" phase where he cleaned up the layers and gave it a simple style. He cut it semi dry and the layers in the back looked amazing but when I voiced my concern about a certain part of my hair that likes to get unruly he came up with a solution that sadly removed some of the length and I felt bad that his amazing layering was chopped off. He did an amazing almost stacked look in the back that eased my worries about my out of control flippy hair. After agreeing that it looked pretty damn good he offered to do some styling but my haircut was so amazing that it didn't need any products or styling so he spritzed on a bit of shine spray (because who doesn't like a little extra shine) and I was good to go. He didn't badger me to make another appointment but I obviously did. Because of the fact that I was a first time client and because he didn't need to wash my hair (I opted not to because I had washed it the night before) the haircut that I would have easily had to pay 60+ dollars for at a high end salon only cost me $11... Yup, $11 for a great woman's cut. Even the full price of $22 would have been a steal. Super satisfied with my overall experience and especially pleased with how easy my hair is to style now. read more

I've been going here since Oct 2013 after having a horrible experience with my hairdresser of over 3 years. This place is a hidden gem, prices are reasonable, hours of operation are unheard of, I've never seen a salon with these kind of hours that stays open so much for their customer!
