First plate of fruit and protein.
Cheryl M.

First, the resort is very nice! Tropicale is a restaurant available for breakfast. They have very friendly servers and welcoming staff. I chose to get the buffet for the array of options. The same items in the buffet are available for the a la carte choices. Buffet is $35/pp. I sampled small bites of the majority of the items to provide a good review. I live in the south so I enjoy a good bowl of grits. I would not recommend the grits. They're not made with love the way I'm accustomed to eating but the protein options are plentiful including smoked salmon which was delicious btw. There's an omelette bar where you fill out a slip and tell the cook how to prepare it with lots of add-ons like peppers, onions s, mushroom, cheese and protein. There's a large amount of fruit choices too. Practically anything you want. The carbs are on overload. Pancakes, waffles, toast, oatmeal, potatoes, yogurt, parfaits with all the toppings. There is also cereal for the kiddos. Beverages are water, milk, juice, coffee & various teas. There's soothing music playing so it's enjoyable and relaxing. I'm ready to get started after this somewhat healthy meal.

The Tropicale is situated within the Caribe Royale Orlando resort, which offers a variety of breakfast or full breakfast buffet option. The plus... Attentive staff and plenty of seating accommodations. The minus... It's abit on the pricy side; $20 for Adults and $10 for Kids. $15 for Adults maybe...but $20 seems pricy for average breakfast food. I've had better breakfast foods at other places I've stayed at...ala free Continental Breakfast.

The service was amazing, everyone was very attentive and helpful. The omelet bar is amazing and they have a wide selection of different breakfast options. The food itself is really good and filling. I thought the food and price justified the selection. Cannot recommend it enough.

It's inside of Caribe Royale and open at certain hours. I was there for breakfast. It has some decent buffet selections. Server was nice and helpful. There is also an omelette bar that a cook can prepare it for your liking. Price was on the high side but I was full. There are some nice fruit and breakfast items that you may enjoy. Also it looked very clean.

Christmas Day Buffet

We went for the Christmas buffet during our stay at Caribe Royale. I have to say, for $50pp, I was not entirely impressed. Our waitress and the rest of the staff were fantastic, though the hostess and other people at the station were a bit rude, having a conversation instead of greeting us. I assumed it was simply because they were trying to figure out tables, even though we had a reservation. The cheese table was good. Nice selection of cheeses, cured meats, dried fruit, hot and cold smoked salmon, oysters, shrimp, fruit, etc....and an ice sculpture! There was an omelette station that we did not try. Salads were many and all were just okay, sushi was sub par...then we got to the mains. There were quite a few mains. 1 or 2 vegetarian, and then all different types of meat. I tried a bit of several, and none stood out to me as particularly flavorful or delicious. I would think that it would be better to do 3 mains very well than 8 mediocre ones, but I digress. There was also a carving station. I didn't bother trying it. The dessert table was the shining star of the buffet (though it still did not make it worth the overall cost). So many gorgeous desserts, done very well. Bravo to the pastry chef!

Good breakfast , with a great waitress Viviaana . Prompt, polite , never missed a beat. Stop down and give them a try . Prices very reasonable for a great hotel.

Bagel with Lox - very good. The hard boiled egg was a nice touch.

Great breakfast and buffet - never been a big fan of hotel food but this was well done. I ate here twice and recommend it.

BLT Sandwich barely made the picture lol

My BLT sandwich was the bomb! My fries as well! Another plus is that they give you warm bread and butter to start! Who doesnt like that?! Didn't expect this restaurant to be good but I had a good dinner and price was nothing too crazy Thank you

Lava cake

Terrible options an food combinations. My friend and I ordered a salad with salmon to start. Never have I had such an old piece of salmon on my plate. I guess since I did not even have the option for the salmon to be cooked medium rare I should have seen this coming. The fish almost tasted like a metallic cardboard. Thank goodness the vegetables were somewhat fresh since my friend and I did not get sick the next day. As for our entrees, we ordered their grouper with purple mash and hollandaise sauce. It seems like a restaurant trick to make us full and satisfied, but it did the complete opposite for me. The mash was so unnecessary as it did not add any substance to the fish. Luckily, unlike the salmon, the grouper was quite tasty by itself. The hollandaise sauce was an interesting choice of sauce. I would honestly skip the dessert here at The Tropicale. My friend and I shared the lava cake expecting to finally get satisfied after our dessert. Boy, did we think wrong. There was no lava chocolate cake as no filling oozed out. The vanilla ice cream was also cheap ice cream that taste like sugar ice water... Never again. I might as well fast when I'm in Orlando.

It's always a good breakfast. I usually get an omelet with some coffee before I head to work or out for an adventure.

Opted for the peanut brittle drink which mixed cold brew with peanut brittle whiskey and cream. Saw some cool deviled eggs on instagram which hooked me in here to begin with. What I appreciated most was the flexibility of the menu. There were both sweet and savory brunch options, while the lunch menu was also available. With children, that made a huge difference because no one had to "skip" a meal or feel forced into having breakfast simply because we were dining during brunch hours. The food was a bit of a mixed experience for me personally. The braised greens/kale had an interesting sweet and fermented flavor combination that I'm still deciding how I feel about. The sweet potato mash, topped with a layer of marshmallows, was tasty and definitely a great choice for someone who enjoys sweeter sides. The brined fried chicken was cooked well, but I was a little disappointed that the dark meat was boneless. That is simply a personal preference, as I tend to associate boneless fried chicken more with a chicken tender experience. Overall, the chicken was good, although it wasn't the standout of the meal for me. The kids really enjoyed their selections, including the French toast, Grand-Daddy Plate, and chicken and waffles. My 12-year-old initially ordered a sandwich that didn't quite meet his palate expectations. Within just a few minutes of all of our entrées arriving, a manager came by the table to check on us. Because of her attentiveness and due diligence, we were able to explain the issue and have his meal replaced with chicken and waffles without making the situation feel uncomfortable or difficult. That level of service was greatly appreciated. Jill was also wonderful throughout our visit. She was attentive, patient, personable, and exuded an overall great personality. We chose outdoor seating after the rain had passed, and it ended up being perfect. We were able to enjoy the fresh air, relax, people-watch, and take in the Disney Springs atmosphere while dining. Overall, the variety, flexibility, and service were the highlights of our experience. Even though not every dish was necessarily a personal favorite, the team made the experience enjoyable, accommodating, and memorable for our family.

It opened in April 2017 and was founded by husband-and-wife chef team James and Julie Petrakis, along with James's brother, Brian Petrakis. James and Julie both met when they attended the Culinary Institute of America. Collectively, they have worked at a number of restaurants from New York City to Atlanta. During their early culinary years, they both gained a strong appreciation for local and sustainable ingredients. The Petrakises own and operate a number of sister restaurants that include The Ravenous Pig, Cask & Larder, and Swine & Sons. Disney approached them wanting to feature a popular, locally-rooted culinary presence among its lineup of celebrity chefs and national chains. The couple opened The Polite Pig in an effort to highlight genuine Florida-inspired wood-fired, smoked, and grilled dishes to an international audience visiting Disney Springs. My family and I visited The Polite Pig for lunch this past summer while we were on a Walt Disney World Vacation. We really liked the whole vibe and the staff were so friendly and helpful. To drink, I ordered a "Piña Colada Mocktail" while my wife ordered a "Strawberry Daiquiri". For food, my wife and I shared the "Butcher Board" (polite pork, smoked chicken, brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage, slaw, house pickles, pickled onions, cornbread, crispy brussel sprouts, sweet potato tots). It was fantastic! It was a great way to sample some of their best offerings and we loved all of the different flavors. Our older son had the "Smoked Pork Slider (w/ waffle fries) and our younger son had the "Mac & Cheese" (w/ waffle fries). They also loved their choices. There was also no shortage of delicious sauces for all of us to try with our dishes. We had an excellent experience at The Polite Pig and we hope to return on a future Disney trip!

Not inedible but I feel like the spice level could be toned down. The Street Corn was served on the cob and while I prefer off the cob, it was easy to cut it off the cob. The corn was prepared properly and remained crisp which I loved. The Mac and Cheese was too salty and pretty basically bland other than that. I will likely not order this again. Ordering is at the counter, they then give a lager that you take to your table so your food is served at your table. Servers check on you throughout your meal and they are helpful. The dining room is indoors and open air to the outdoor seating. Tables are placed tightly throughout the restaurant making it challenging to navigate getting to some tables and eliminate the possibility of getting to some tables of you have a stroller or mobility device. My meal with iced tea was a bit overly spicy $24 so this isn't a budget lunch.

I waited for someone to wipe it down and even said multiple times it was dirty. Food was all over it, and on the floor. My son ended up wiping it out with his hands as best he could. There was still food in all the crevices surround the booth because they have a wooden lil around it. So I got to sit in a very uncomfortable position because I couldn't lean back. Then a customer came into the booth behind me and when he sat down it literally lifted us into the table. The menus were also sticky and filthy. So, we ordered and it was a disaster. My waffle was wrong. I said no butter, no powdered sugar, no bananas and I asked if I could have blueberries instead of bananas. The waiter said yes I could substitute. Then I asked for hash browns extra crispy. My son ordered chicken tenders and fries. His chicken was so burned it has black parts ALL OVER THEM! My waffle had all the things I said no to, and then he said I wasn't allowed to have blueberries, even though he had said I could substitute. So I had to remake my waffle correctly and they served me a raw waffle the second time. Also the hash browns were black on top and the inside was still raw. I said please take the food off my check because we weren't going to eat it and he only took the waffle off. I guess he expected me to eat raw hash browns and black chicken. They didn't even offer to remake the chicken tenders. Very disappointing experience. The server wasn't apologetic at all. We talked to him several times trying to get his attention to fix it, and he walked off every time, not acknowledging us. We were trying to make sure he heard our order because we weee tying to make sure food didn't get wasted, if he didn't put the order in correctly. I understand when you are busy, but because he ignored us multiple times the orders were wrong and food was wasted. Don't think we will return. Horrible experience. I don't recommend this place at all. I understand things are wrong and when that happens the least you can do is apologize and try to make it right. They only tried to fix my waffle and then it came back out raw. It was so gross I spit the bite out because it was nothing but raw batter. At least apologize! Didn't get any part of our order right, no apology, and we had to skip eating. We were both starving walking out of there.

We later saw them setting up tents and a bounce house. It looked really fun. We found ourselves a spot near the perimeter of the room and began reviewing the menu. There are a lot of varied options available to please any palate. We are at a brewing company, but I don't really like beer, so I opted for the Pirate's Punch cocktail. It was fruity and very reminiscent of a classic rum punch. Hubby likes light beer, so he ordered the 16oz Celebration Light Lager at the suggestion of our server, Missy. He enjoyed it very much. The vibe was very casual, social and fun. They have table and board games available for you to play with friends and I'm pretty sure that had the patio been open, they had some outdoor games available as well. There was music playing and folks talking and celebrating birthdays, so it was a little loud, but not annoyingly so. It was very upbeat and sunny to match the beautiful day. I was torn between The Big Salad, which my body was so desperately craving, and the Queens Calzone, my heart's desire! So you know I had to order both, and I topped the salad with grilled salmon! What?! We were on vacation! I'm not sure if the salad was big, or if the plate was just small, but I ate half of it there and took the other half home. The salmon was cooked nicely and the salad and dressing was refreshing. The calzone was crisp on the outside, but the cheese wasn't quite melted on the inside. I took a couple of "taster bites" but opted to take the rest home to be reheated and properly melted. I shared some with my husband as well and he observed that the bites just weren't balanced. I agreed. One bite was a stack of chopped ham and nothing else. Another would be completely different. I wish the filling would've been mixed and spread throughout so that you could get some of everything in each bite. I was most impressed by what my husband ordered. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but he loves my cooking so much that restaurant fare does not usually float his boat. He ordered the Korean Noodle Bowl with Shrimp and he absolutely loved it! I noticed at least two other people at surrounding tables having that dish as well, so it must be popular. He loved the level of heat and flavor. He wanted to "dog it down" but saved a small portion for me to try later, just as research and development for me to reverse engineer it and create for him at home! I love the challenge and the inspiration. Any meal that can impress him gets two thumbs up from me! He felt that it needed a little something on the side, so he also ordered some crostini for dipping. They sell beer steins, stickers, buttons, hats, t-shirts, etc. and we saw some t-shirts that we liked (Oktoberfest themed), so we grabbed those as well. They ran us about $30 each, but it will help us commemorate our time in the area. Overall, we enjoyed some good food in a fun atmosphere and would definitely return if ever in the area again.

You can tell that the servers here take pride in what they do and it consistently shows. It is the only brewery within about 20-30 minutes. It is right off of I-4, has plenty of parking and if you have an EV, there are charging stations in their parking lot. It has been a while since I reviewed this brewery and I can honestly say Celebration Brewing is one of my favorites. Heck, it is the only brewery anywhere near Disney. Celebration Brewing Company is no different from anything in life, eventually it has to change. Some changes have made me happy, while others have left me both sad, disappointed and confused. Mostly sad though. Let's start with all the great things they have going on here. First, this is like a restaurant which has great craft beer, specialty cocktails, wine and spirits. I wouldnt say a full bar, but they can accomplish most mixed drinks and have a few specialty cocktails of their own. There is both inside and outside seating and plenty of it, as well as seating at the bar. As far as decor, the BEER sign is iconic. There are so many photos opportunities here. And, despite what I am about to say, Celebration Brewing Co is a solid 4 stars consistently. Now I will talk about some of my personal concerns about the brewery. This is my whine time disclaimer. To start, the food has been hit or miss, but mostly a hit. Their burgers and wings are consistently good. They do change their menu as places do from time to time and the things I really loved about the last menu were recently swapped for less tasty versions. To be exact, the pasta and pizza are not as good. And there is one pizza they had called JAMMIN (absolutely amazing) which they changed to FiG Etabouitit. The latter has a similar combination of ingredients, but is lacking and pales in comparison to the original. The new version is just overly sweet, while JAMMIN was savory, sweet and well balanced. You could actually taste the fig jam before, while the new version legit just tastes like honey. They told me it had fig jam on it, but unless the fig jam they are using now is mostly honey, I am not buying it. The new version is a fail. Lastly, they brew a lot of decent beer here which tastes like what it should be. The Belgians are not as good as I remember, but everything else from lagers to stouts to IPAs, decent representation. Every once in a while though, they come up with some bangers which I absolutely fall in love with (Like GINGY SNAPS), but when I return they have moved onto some other innovative beer. Leaving me feeling like that kid whose parents got divorced and it's all my fault (because I didnt support that beer as consistently as I should). So that is my 2 cents. Hope this helps.
