I don't think a membership is needed to grab a drink, but it did feel a little weird to be in there in street clothes next to people doing lat pull downs and pumping iron. Teapioca is a chain so when I spotted one in this shopping center late last night I went in to check it out. The customer service was unbelievably awful. I walked up to the cash register where the only menu was and looked through briefly to make sure nothing changed since my last visit. After only being there a few seconds the cashier rudely said "are you going to order ma'am?". Since when is that ever in a script to say to customers? I was so taken aback I wanted to leave but I quickly ordered and still tipped well, after which her attitude suddenly became friendlier. I went back to look at the menu again and she asked "would you like to order anything else?" I said "no, I want to finish looking at the menu since I was rushed". The drink wasn't even good. Lychee jelly tasted sour and bad. It is highly unlikely I will give this establishment any more of my business and I recommend that others go elsewhere.
