The food is simple but tastes great, the shakes are really good and the price isn't bad at all. It's clean, with clean restrooms. If I had to complain about anything g it would be the employee. Now let me first say that the service was good,not great but good. The employees we nice enough, just had the feeling of "heres your food, bye", but that's not a bad thing. Again it was good service, I wouldn't bring my kid here though, not saying it's not kid friendly. I love coming to this location of Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I'm very impressed with cleanliness and smoothies here, too! I've gone here a few times since it's one of the closest smoothie places to my house. Their smoothies really are super - they're BIG, filling, and their different options are great! I'd opt in for their green smoothies for a healthier, less sugary drink. But they do have some yummy smoothies too if you're looking for a sweet treat ;) Plus seasonal items, as well. Overall I have nothing bad to say about their smoothies except their sizing - they only have 1 size, and it's huge. I wish so badly they had smaller sizes because I barely ever finish their smoothie it's that big, or it gets all melty by the time I'm at the bottom because there's so much of it. I hate wasting, so I'd rather just get a smaller size and drink what I know I can finish. The food is surprisingly good, too. It's not incredible but it's better than I thought it would be. Their Thai chicken salad and wrap are yummy! Plus you have the option to choose a free side (or upgrade for a better one) with almost all the food items here. A TAD pricey for some of the sizes of the food, but it's still not bad. The young staff here is always great, they're super friendly and get your order out in a timely manner. The place itself is very clean and spacious, too, with lots of natural lighting and parking directly in front of the store. I definitely recommend this location of Tropical Smoothie Cafe! read more

Absolutely love this place! Staff is always very friendly and helpful. I got the Watermelon Mojito Smoothie up until Labor Day weekend when it went away for the fall. My new favorite is the Berry Bliss and Blimey Limey. Would get smoothies everyday if I could affect it. read more

First off I feel terrible for the employees during lunch rush. Who ever does the schedule clearly doesn't see that they need at least 4 people on for the lunch rush to get all the walk-ins & online order out at a timely manner. Tropical Smoothie is very popular but if the Rolling Meadows location does not properly staff no one will want to go and wait their whole lunch break for a smoothie. I completely get that we are getting out of a pandemic but where is a manager to assist employees if you were to be short staff. I will not be returning for a while as I know I will barely get my smoothie on time before going back to work. Anyone that is on a lunch break i recommend going elsewhere so you are guaranteed food before your break is over. The 2 stars is not for the employees it's for the people running a busy location store. read more

I am not leaving a bad review about the food or the quality of service. Every time I go to this location they are friendly and attentive. However, every time I do go to this location there is one worker in particular who is never wearing her mask correctly. For the past 7+ times I have attended this store, she has had her mask below her chin, while she is preparing food. This makes me feel uncomfortable and uneasy and makes me question a lot of their sanitary practices. Due to the current circumstances in our world, I would feel a lot better if all the employees here followed the mask regulations correctly by wearing a mask correctly. read more

Over 10 employees awaited us at the store as many were still in training which is very understandable. But 2 emplyees were outside, 1 vaping while visibly wearing Tropical Smoothie Cafe gear. Didn't give me the best first impression. Ordered a sandwich which was just ok and was planning to order a smoothie to go. As I ate my sandwich outside, I watched multiple employees scream loudly through the parking lot, pose for photo shoots and walk in and out of the store without masks on. The woman behind the counter making smoothies had a mask on but not covering her mouth or nose. I watched her continually wipe her face and go back to making smoothies. Not the type of health/sanitation standards I ever expect, much less during the middle of a pandemic. I decided to pass on the smoothie. I do not expect complete professionalism from a group of teenagers working, but showing a little respect for customer experience, and more importantly health, is important and I was truly unimpressed. read more
