Our server never checked on us we had to find another server to let them know. She also never returned so we could not get refills on our drinks. She returned to offer us cheese but after 3 of the 4 of us had finished our meals. However, we had reservations and arrived early and they were able to seat us in a comfortable corner where we got to enjoy our conversation. Again, our past experiences have been positive and so we will not let one bad evening stop us from returning.

Unfortunately, this is the second time I've witnessed extremely concerning food-handling practices here. During my most recent visit, I watched an employee prepare sandwiches while wearing the same gloves she had used to wipe down dirty counters, operate the register, and wipe her hands on her apron. She then continued handling customers' food without changing her gloves. The deli slicer and surrounding food-prep area also appeared dirty. About a year ago, I had another disturbing experience at this same location. I witnessed an employee eating meat directly from the grill area with his hands and then using those same unwashed hands to prepare a customer's sandwich. I had hoped things would improve, but unfortunately, it appears not much has changed. The restaurant itself does not appear clean, and the food-handling practices I witnessed are simply unacceptable. I've visited several other Jersey Mike's locations where employees are noticeably careful about cleanliness, changing gloves, and proper food handling, so I know this is not representative of the entire company. This particular location needs stronger management, better training, and much closer attention to basic food-safety practices.
