If you retain your receipt from Harris Teeter, you'll also find coupons on the back that can be used here. This store does support use of the Tropical Smoothie app for ordering ahead, and payment. Cash, credit card and tap options are also viable. Parking is generous and shared with the other neighboring businesses. The wait time during my visit was minimal and most importantly, my smoothie had the flavor and thickness I like. Good customer service makes it easy to tip. I have visited this location enough times to give them the benefit of the doubt and 4 out of 7 times they have severely messed up my smoothie order making it taste like a watered down version of what it's meant to taste like. Practically inedible if I'm being honest. Service is mediocre at best with a staff that clearly has no desire to be there. used to love it here. as of lately, it seems like the employees would rather be doing anything but their job. as someone who works in customer service, i understand it--but this is unacceptable. when i went in last, i had mobile ordered 15 minutes in advance, just to get there when they just started making my food. when i walked in, everyone working was sitting around the store and talking right in front of me. nobody greeted me or even looked in my direction until an older african american lady turned around (who was an employee sitting on her phone at the bar area) said very aggressively to me " i am not in line. go. go order. " mind you i had been standing for two minutes at this point. prior to this, about a couple weeks earlier, an older male employee had been standing behind the counter, refusing to acknowledge me for minutes while he played on the register and talked to other employees. i understand wanting to have fun, but if you cannot do your job maybe this isn't the place for you. i have had my orders messed up multiple times here, even ordering online. the ambiance used to be great but now the tables always have crumbs on them and the whole place just makes a customer feel unwelcome. i will not be returning. read more

I did not get a welcome vibe and was not acknowledged by the young lady at the cash register which gave me second thoughts of coming here. Highly recommended! Going to Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Dunkirk, MD was an absolute delight! The restaurant was exceptionally clean - the floors were freshly mopped and there was no trace of dirt or mess anywhere. The attendants were incredibly helpful - they went out of their way to ensure our order was perfect. They also had a great attitude throughout the process which really enhanced our experience. The smoothie itself tasted amazing! Perfectly sweet but not too much so - something you can only get from a tropical-style smoothie. It wasn't overly thick either, just enough that it filled us up without feeling heavy afterwards. Management at this place definitely deserves praise for running such an excellent business; we'll certainly be back soon! I would've taken a picture but one sip and I was hooked. Customer service was good but what I ordered was bad. Three cheese chicken quesadilla, easy right. First time I got it was about a month ago. It was good but still a little chilly in the center and not crisp at all. Today, no flavor, no cheese, no crust or crunch and very cold, the tiny bit of cheese wasn't even melted. My boyfriend and I stopped on here because it was the only healthy quick option in the area. We dropped in during a rush but I felt like the crew was handling the influx. Well this is my first time here and even tho the reviews I have seen are all pretty bad my experience wasn't the same. The kids working there are young and remembering how the kids of today are i wasn't too offended when I wasn't greeted with a huge smile welcoming me to the store. The girl who did take my order was nice and friendly and thorough with what I wanted. Our drinks were delicious and the guy had to add something else to my sons drink with our permission because he asked for extra peanut butter and it would have been too thick. Do not get me started on the lack of food safety. The young lady and the guy were not changing their gloves OR washing their hands. She also had a tank top on and open toed wedge sandals. We went there one time, and another woman who ordered a smoothie complained that it wasn't sweet enough, so the girl working there took it back, put the SAME smoothie back in the blender, added sugar to sweeten it, and gave it back to her. That has got to violate so many health codes. Plus, they're so backed up every time we go, we've had 45 minute+ waits for our smoothies, plus, we have even been outright refused service because there were so many orders backed up, and not nearly enough people to make all of them. I don't leave too many reviews but this place deserves one. I went in with 4 kids on a Thursday night. The 2 teenage girls working appeared to be completely miserable.
