This will be one of my favorite smoothie cafes if i encounter one in New York. I'm always stand-off when it comes to milkshakes and smoothies because i hate milk. I'm happy my sister took me to smoothie heaven bc i was in love. The ambience is perfect for quick bite for lunch and various options of smoothies to choose from. The price is a good price point. The cashiers and staff were all helpful in giving suggestions and as well outstanding customer service. On July 19th my husband and I just wanted to try the wraps and sandwiches. We waited for at least 5 minutes, unacknowledged, until another couple came in and then the service person told THEM it would be a few minutes. This is bad customer service, and even if you have a good product, I am pretty sure I won't be coming back in. Too bad because we just moved to the area and we looking for some regular stops. The food is good, but service is NOT. I've been to this location several times and been all but ignored at the counter. Today, however, I was given attitude and told that the coupons in the Conway local ads were not valid at the Conway location, even though nowhere on the sheet did it list exceptions. Then, after I asked for a smoothie only before I got angrier than I already was the young girl at the counter rolled her eyes and responded with "Whatever," in a very indifferent manner. Regardless of a customer reaction that kind of attitude is a cardinal sin in customer service. From now on I'll be driving the extra 20 miles N. Myrtle or Murrells Inlet before I visit this location again. Edit: worth noting that none of the employees had name tags, so I have no idea who I even dealt with or who the Managed on Duty is. I found a long hair in my sandwich that was maliciously placed there. Horrible experience! ZERO STARS! From the minute I stepped in this place my kids noticed that it was dingy and not loved, not like the other Tropical Smoothie locations around the state. The manager Jami took my to GO order and went in the back to prepare the sandwiches. She had an attitude from the start and was extremely rude taking my order. Everything was an issue and she couldn't be bothered. I took my order to go but at the last minute decided to stay with my kids to cool off before the next soccer game. As I took a bite out of my sandwich my son screamed "mom, there is a hair in your food!" A long disgusting hair was stuffed into my sandwich. I guess she never expected that I was going to stay and eat there. I took the sandwich to the register and politely mentioned to girl behind the desk that there is a hair in my sandwich. She offered to make a new sandwich (no, thanks. I lost my appetite and just the thought of it still makes me sick) or give me a refund. Since the manager had to process the refund I had to deal with Jami once again...She made no eye contact, didn't apologize and started ringing up the refund. This is where I said to her that an apology would be in order. Still nothing...not a word. So I told her that I frequently go to different Tropical Smoothie locations as a loyal patron, and that this was the absolutely worst customer service I have ever encountered to which she replied that I was rude, quote "the whole me was rude" and she continued to insult me. I finally asked her "so this is why you stuffed a hair in my food?" and her response was "you are not important enough". Do yourself a favor and don't eat there unless you want to get sick and be insulted. I will be contacting the Health Dept. next. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

I have visited this Tropical Smoothie Cafe many times for years and today was terribly disappointing. The smoothie was still great (which is why I opted for 2 stars), but the service was horrible. Behind the counter was Vanessa who did not smile, was impatient, and obviously saw my order as a transaction to be processed as opposed to a customer to be serviced. Thank goodness I didn't have a question or need assistance with the newer items on the menu. The food is great and the owner (if he still owns it) was always so nice... I'd hate to see this Tropical Smoothie go under because their service has gone down the drain. read more

I went to this location on Graduate Ave and got a greens smoothie. The owner (I believe) was running the register. He was super nice and efficient. He was knowledgeable and made sure I enjoyed my order. It was delicious. New favorite! Thank you! Even though it was busy everyone was pleasant. Sandwiches and service have always been good here but the last few times the smoothies we have gotten were very watery. They used to be thick but not any more. The one in Murrells Inlet does a better job on smoothies constantly. read more

I ordered a turkey and guacamole sandwich, which was delicious! It came on whole grain bread. I ordered a sunset smoothie with orange, mango, strawberry and pineapple . That was delicious as well! You can customize your smoothies and even do a half sandwich combo with a smoothie. Very good fresh and tasty food! Also the girl at the counter was super friendly and helpful. visited 2/11/2018 6:47pm. first I will say I have fell in love with there veggie hummus wraps and a couple of there smoothies health nut and peanut butter cup! the only reason Im not giving a 5 at this location is because I trully enjoy ordering, paying and receiving the rewards when ordering online, however this location didnt have this capability at this time which means I missed out on my rewards. The food is edible, but doesn't taste fresh and isn't something that you're going to be craving to have again. On the other hand, the smoothies are the main show here. Large serving for decent price, has great flavor, but it's loaded with sugar and leaves you feeling sluggish after the sugar rush is gone. Wouldn't necessarily call this place healthy, but it's a better alternative compared to some places in that area. read more
