This is my local Tropical, and although I come in more than twice a week, it's always a disappointment. My go-to is the Detox Island Green, and I substitute the banana for kiwi, but the fruit is just never ripe enough. You could tell when drinking it. They also add way too much ginger to the point that the smoothie is spicy. The service is always good, and had I had more time to order in person rather than just the app, I could have added honey or something to make the smoothie sweeter, but it's either a hit or a miss. This location is always crowded, and usually very clean. Can't say much for the bathroom, which can always be cleaner. Overall, I think two stars is essentially what this location deserves. read more

This location is very nice, very clean and comfortable. However, I don't think it's a good business practice to only have two employees working at any given time. Between the online orders and in-person customers, you're setting your staff up for failure. That's why it takes in average 35 minutes to order one item. Plus, your staff is about as rude and unfriendly as anyone can be. However, they were working hard. Smoothies are still good. Stop pushing whey protein on people though. Not everyone is trying to bulk up and beat their wife. read more

I dig the place, but not the prices. After being at the east location several times, I brought my son in to have lunch yesterday at the west location in Boynton. We were greeted pleasantly and were waited on quickly. I went for the cuban sandwich and my son had the cheese quesadilla. The kids combo meal includes the smoothie, which the counter lady upgraded it to a bigger one for no charge. I had a BOGO coupon and applied it for another smoothie to take home. Even though we got a couple breaks, it still came out to around 25 bucks. The food and the smoothies were delicious. The Cuban sandwich was flavored nicely and the sunrise smoothie was filled with fresh mango, pineapple, banana, orange, and orange juice. The portions are plentiful and the place was spotless. If only it wasn't so costly, I would return much sooner. read more

I hadn't been here in a while, but after my last visit, I will never patronize these crooks again. I ordered a flatbread and a smoothie, but after I paid, I noticed that they'd upcharged me for a combo. No problem, just grab a bag of chips to finish out the combo, right? Nope--they were adamant that the combo consists only of a smoothie and sandwich, and they were somehow saving me money by charging me twenty cents more. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until they started selectively applying sales tax. Because, you see, after you add in the tax to that smaller amount, it winds up being more than that larger amount if you don't tax it. This gaslighting went on for a while. And they chose to do this rather than refund two dimes or give me the side they charged me for. You might think me petty to make such a big deal over such a small amount. I would agree, if they hadn't lied and attempted to cover up this petty theft. read more

I went recently to Tropical Smoothie Cafe for takeout. I ordered several different sandwiches, including a chicken quesadilla and a chicken pita. I also ordered some drinks, including a blimy limey, which was excellent and a strawberry chia drink, which was very good. The service was very friendly and quick. This was a much better experience than I expected. The price to value ratio was about average for this type of restaurant. All in all.this was a very good experience, and I look forward to returning in the near future. read more

I used to be a faithful customer to Tropical Smoothie, but not anymore. Their workers are mostly young kids who can't get the orders correct and also incorrectly overcharge. I had their app which gives $5 as a reward for every $55 spent. On two occasions when I tried to redeem the reward upon making a purchase, their register wouldn't redeem the $5 off the purchase. What's the point of having a rewards program for regular customers when they can't use it? read more

Yesterday I went into this tropical smoothie around 1-3pm and it was very short staffed, and the store was a mess. I seen it was very packed and there was only 2 people on the shift. When I walked in I notice the young lady was ringing up and was on trying to make smoothes at the same time there was a young man trying to help her ring up but he also was getting flushed with orders dishes was piling up and area looked very sticky but she's keep a positive attitude and gave off great energy. Not sure why the low ratings, Tropical Smoothie is always consistent. They have great food selections (extra plus for being able to modify the food to your dietary needs) and their smoothies are all greats. My favorite smoothies are the Health Nut, Detox Island Green and the Chia Banana Max and my favorite wraps are the Thai Chicken Wrap and the Jerk Chicken Wrap. This location in particular is super clean and the staff is always friendly. This is basically my go to place, when I want to eat healthy on the go. My kids also loves this place, so it's a win, win for me and my family. read more

Ive recently had some bad experiences at another location but this one always does a wonderful job. They are always quick and efficient and usually have my order ready before the time of pick up. Love coming to tropical smoothie cafe, goto the one in Lauderhill and once I saw this one near my home was super psyched! Got me a quesadilla and a bottle of water. Wanted a few extra calories so added avocado. Total came up to $11 and change. After looking at the bill I saw they charge $3 for a bottle of water, and not FiJi; just a regular bottle of water you can buy a case for 4.99 at bj's. I understand you have to make money but that's ridiculous. Food is good and healthy and the people are always so next time I'll just remember to bring my own water lol! read more

I have tropical smoothie almost every other day. I've used the app for curbside with no problem. How ever! The last time I did order on the app for curbside it went to the wrong location. So when I called them and asked them to refund my money to my card I was told by two people (whom both said they were manager's) that they could not refund me because they had made my order already. But they could credit me for the next time I come in. I explain that I have never been in their store and I never will, because it was too far for me. Now if you eat tropical smoothie as much as me, you know there is a distance from one tropical smoothie to the next. They're not on every corner like McDonald's and it's not in every city like Chick-fil-A. I called 2 stores and asked them Their return policy. They both said that they would have refund it. Then I called corporate in Atlanta and filed a complaint on the store on Boynton Beach Blvd and Jog. I was told by corporate that I should have been refunded.
