The most delicious tomato soup!
Georgette Q.

A sister's Sunday shopping day! We enjoyed our lunch in Bloomingdales! The most delicious tomato soup with bread and butter. Truly the best tomato soup I've ever had.. a touch of basil, oregano and parmigiana... I would buy this if packaged ! Then we enjoyed a moist delicious carrot and chocolate cake! The service was excellent! She was only one person and she was very attentive and took great care if everyone! A wonderful lunch! Thank you!

You name it, they make it and they do it with fresh ingredients that actually taste fresh…read more Everything is packed with flavor. Yeah, the line is usually crazy long, but it's 100% worth the wait. I went for the original cheesesteak and it blew past my expectations; juicy, cheesy, perfectly seasoned, the works. We also got the Italian and that was loaded. Seriously filled, no skimping. Friendly service the whole time too. Standing room only, order ahead for pickup to make your life easier.

Despite the lack of a/c and rough conditions they were in, the staff were super friendly behind the counter. My husband and I orders some delicious subs on fresh sesame seed bread. They're super generous filling up their subs and the ingredients are fresh and top notch. As a pescatarian, my options are more limited, but my caprese sandwich was fabulous. We also ordered a cannoli which they hand fill. It was the best cannoli I have had in South Florida and tasted like the ones I used to enjoy from the North End in Boston. Finally a great cannoli! Due to the power issue, it was a little dark inside. However, this is a true, lived in authentic Italian deli. Again, if you're from up North, you will feel like you are at home here. V&S is the real deal, and very much worthy of all the rave reviews people have shared with me.

2nd Street Bagels and Deli - $15 with a large drip coffee

Solid 2.5 stars! Several bagels shops to choose from, this…read moreone is a little off the beaten path. Ordered an everything bagel, double toasted, hollowed out, with butter and cream cheese. I didn't really taste any butter and cream cheese was a bit sparse in some areas and pretty bare around the edges. Probably the chewiest bagel I've ever had and I've had a few...but it lacks a true NY bagel crusty exterior (even at double toasted which was still barely toasted) and flavor. Not bad but definitely not comparable to a NY bagel...I will keep searching.

You know you're up at the ass crack of dawn when not a single place is open for breakfast…read more 2nd St. Bagels in East Boca opened at 6:30AM and I literally got there as they unlocked the doors. Nothing else in that whole Mizner-adjacent area was open yet -- not even the diner down the block, which doesn't start serving until 7. The bagels looked pale, so I asked if they baked onsite. Answer: no, the fresh bagels usually get delivered later in the morning. That immediately told me everything I needed to know and saved me from making a bad decision. The bakery case looked decent enough -- black and white cookies, pastries, etc. -- but since nothing is actually made there, I have to assume most of it was yesterday's inventory. Ended up ordering a Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a Kaiser with a large coffee. Fifteen bucks. Look, I understand East Boca commercial rents are insane, especially anywhere remotely near Mizner. But $15 for a breakfast sandwich and coffee from a place that isn't even baking its own bagels is absolute highway robbery. To be fair, the sandwich itself was solid. The Taylor ham ratio was right, eggs were fresh, and the Kaiser roll held up. But the whole operation feels less like a real bagel shop and more like an early-morning survival outpost for caffeine-deprived Boca commuters.
