What an absolute gem in small town Dexter!!…read more I've known the owner (who I lovingly call "L") since her days of hustling to promote Pulse before it was even open!!! Pulse has made a name for themselves in the local community and a favorite of adults and teens. Staff (whether L or any of her teammates) are very knowledgeable in flavors and add-ins like protein, collagen, energy boosters, and even edible glitter!! Pulse also has pre-made take away packets so you can make your next drink at home or on the road. ( I personally travel a LOT and love having the packets with me - sooo handy! ) 12/10 would recommend to Pulse to anyone looking for a drink treat and/or meal replacements. Definitely healthy shakes, but I see these type of places popping up all over in the last couple years. They open as a shake shop and start hyping for the business to get people in the door, but start that 'conversation' about your personal life, health goals and financial goals to try to bring you into their stream and sell the products or subscribe and buy at home. At least this shop hasn't, yet. The shakes are a great option for a meal replacement, especially for picky little kids that need their protein and won't eat meat. I chose a strawberry flavor that I thought wouldn't have a lot of sugar and be a bit lighter. It was a bit of a turn off to see her pump flavoring into the cup instead of using fresh fruit. I didn't care for the texture but it hit the spot and took away the hunger pangs. Right downtown Dexter, across from the Dairy Queen. Easy to find, easy to park.
