Came here twice so far. There is lots of seating! We recently went for the free 12oz Mango Monsoon smoothie by just wearing flip flops (no purchase necessary)! It was delicious and they were very fast and efficient! I couldn't believe what a great deal it was and there weren't more people lined up!! read more

I previously left 5 stars, but Service here has become hit or miss. On 09/27 at 12:39pm I arrived to pickup my online order which was supposed to be ready by 12:29pm. I was not greeted when walking in and had to make eye contact with someone to let them know I had an order to pickup. Gave them my name and the 2 of them continued business as usual. I though my smoothie was being made and waited patiently for 7-8 minutes. Still no smoothie, no update. Made eye contact again with someone and I said in a medium voice "is my smoothie being made". The shorter short haired male I think said "you need to lower your voice". I said excuse me! I was then given my smoothie which had been sitting there the entire time!! This is a convenient location for me to ya smoothie once a week, but there are other Smoothie establishments. read more

Terrible Service. know if the three people that were working there were overworked or what but they need to add more staff. I did a mobile order came to pick it up. It wasn't to tree for 15 minutes over 25 minutes later still not ready. Looked on the counter. I'm like that might be mine. People completely. Ignore me standing for 10 minutes then I asked hey is that order right there for my looked at it and and just put it on the counter and kept working. I just don't understand what's the point of making an order if you don't bring it out especially if it takes you 25 minutes to make read more

Was given smoothies with no taste & when asked to remake was given attitude & made to feel like how dare I! ....... They did remake them, ... not much better. read more

Went there because they were advertising for a free smoothie in an email, walked through the door they said we had to be wearing flip-flops. We were turned away and she thought it was funny. We drove 25 minutes with gas at $4.50 a gallon. Guess we will go to Goodlyfe for now on. read more

Very bright and clean inside with plenty of workers on The particular late Saturday afternoon when I went. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Salsa Verde Dilla I ordered. It was perfectly cooked and very fresh. The jalapeño corn, one of the upgraded sides that comes with the Dilla , was delightful: not too spicy but a good suggestion of "heat". My Usland Green smoothie was refreshing and somewhat seeet because of the added fruit. I would definitely return or check out other examples of this chain restaurant. read more

This place is bad. Inefficient at best. My partner and I came in to grab smoothies on the go. It wasn't even busy. they had 3 people behind the counter. Multiple smoothies were just sitting in blenders. The couple that ordered after us got both of their smoothies before we did. Before they even started making our second one. I'm sorry but 15-20 mins to wait for 2 mediocre smoothies that cost $15 all told is just an insult. Needs to be managed by a real adult because they clearly don't understand time management or customer service. read more

I tried this place because my daughter 8 year old Chloe got a gift card for Tropical Smoothie Cafe from her violin teacher for being a model student. It's because of my daughter that I tried this place and I love her for treating dad and family to a smoothie. It's now my go to place because of this wonderful memory of my daughter and son drinking smoothies together. THE GOOD: I love the selections they have that are dairy free smoothies with real fruit. I also love how large the cups are, you get a good quantity for what you pay for so it's worth it. My favorite is the Blimey Limey and others. THE BAD: I thought this was all natural juices and naturally sweet, thing is, they do use fruit, but also there's so much sugar content in these drinks (I checked it online: 495 calories and 90 grams of sugar). I bought these smoothies regularly while I was on the road for work, thinking it's healthy drink, but I noticed that it sorta adds to the waistline, so I can't drink one of these as frequently as I would like. WHAT'S UNIQUE: I like that they also have food selections on their menu too, not just smoothies. However it's limited options for vegans, so I'll just stick with the smoothies for now. read more

Meh, I keep forgetting this is a chain I have been to before. Refreshing but not the natural effervescence I seek. My sunset tropical had OJ as the main ingredient. A whipped frozen consistency. read more

Stopped in to grab a quick on the go healthy something to drink before I embarked on an hour long drive. I ordered the avocado fruit blend smoothie as I considered this sort of my late lunch. My daughter and I waited and watched as they made our smoothies. We were horrified to see them add LOTS of crushed ice on top of what looked like a little fruit & avocado mix. But there's was just as much ice maybe more as there was fruit & veggie mix! I started to ask the employee to please cut some of the ice but I thought - perhaps she knew what she was doing. I hoped it would turn out well. They handed me a huge tall styrofoam cup with lid. I stuck a straw in it and my daughter and I were out the door. Well.... how shall I say it? Simply put.. my worst fears came true- the smoothie tasted terribly diluted & taste less. It tasted like ice with a little fruit flavor tossed on top. If we hadn't been in a rush and a half mile down the road, I would have taken it back. My daughter similarly found her smoothie tasteless. I barely tasted anything besides ice. I don't recommend this place for smoothies. Try some place else. Also I suggest to this business that they eliminate the styrofoam cups. For $6 each they could cover the cost of higher quality more expensive containers. I have heard that the food is better although I can't vouch for this personally. read more

I believe in giving a bad review when necessary but also a good review when necessary! The last time I was here it was terrible!!! They have seemed to have gotten it together with a new lead manager...the customer service was friendly and the food was quick! The trash was emptied and it didn't smell like before so kudos for making changes! Hopefully the food is as good... read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Quick! - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

A variety of smoothies, service was fine. Smoothie tasted OK but I'm not sure I'd come back (C).

Always pre order online, I download the app every time I go that way, when you hit $50 you get $5 towards anything. I have tried: Sunshine -refreshing Bahamas Mama -refreshing Strawberry limeade-not a fan Chia banana boost- makes you feel full Detox island green -my favorite !! Refreshing however has an after taste and a weird texture. Orange ginger glow-refreshing Triple berry oat -yummy and easy to make at home Service is always nice. No complaints I have never tried their food. But 5 Star for great smoothies! read more

I have always been patient and given this location the benefit of the doubt because it seems like they're constantly understaffed. However, I placed an order for pick up and it was almost 15 minutes after the pickup window that it was ready. Annoying but no big deal i'm in no rush and they're busy. But when I get home and realize I paid for an edible straw ($1 up charge) and did not receive one, then open my flatbread and there's only a small glob of pesto and one slice of tomato with chicken ( I ordered no chicken, i'm vegetarian) it becomes an extremely disappointing experience over all. Hopefully they can staff better in the future to resolve ? read more

One of the best Tropical Smoothie Cafes around. This location is new and spacious. It is conveniently located across the street from Arborland Mall. I've been to a number of these places and this one so far is my favorite. With the exception of the rude cashier who didn't greet or thank me for my business, everything else was perfect. The tall blonde employee who made my Acai berry protein smoothie was super nice and quick with making my smoothie. I look forward to trying other items on the menu. read more

I was feeling under the weather and needed something icy, cold, non-dairy and soothing to on my throat. TSC is a big score. The place is easy to get to, just off Washtenaw. I ducked in and happy to find a bright clean dining room, with friendly staff eager to greet and help me. I ordered the Orange Ginger Glow. It was perfect! Loaded with vitamin C, fresh flavor and just what I was looking for. The top note flavor was carrot, then the pineapple came through. Super tasty - I immediately wanted another one. Tropical Smoothie Cafe will become a regular stop for me, on the way to school, next semester. The food choices look healthy and tasty as well. read more

Tropical smoothie cafe has a good interior design and it is always a good spot to chill and study. Literally it is like a meal in a cup as I get really full after. I am really into like a healthy taste so the green smoothies are my favorite. They have a new flavor i think it is called green apple matcha. It taste really good if you ask 1/2 the basil. Tropical smootie is one of my favorite places to go when im hungry, and this location is the best ive been to. The food is high quality, and the smoothies are great, and the staff is always very friendly. I had an interaction with Leah, one of the workers, and she came across as very friendly and offered a few things I have never tried and enjoyed very much. Kepp up the good work over there! read more

The bathrooms were closed, which was a bummer! But the smoothie was soooooo good and a refreshing way to start the morning! Highly recommend

Iove all the delicious selections of drinking now they have food too I like that. But they do need to join the 2020 and get rid of those Styrofoam cups I'm still not happy with that so I don't go to tropical smoothie smoothie that often just because of the Styrofoam cups. read more

This place is pretty new and the location is great. It's exceptionally clean on the inside and has a cool feel to it. The smoothies are always good although sometimes there's been confusion when I call ahead and order. One time they added oats instead of chia seeds. But besides that, the people who work here are super friendly and are doing their best to get the hang of things. Come here quite often. read more

a nice, clean place with kind workers. definitely recommend! smoothies were yummy, bathrooms looked great- a good place!

SO. GOOD. I've only been here three times, and one of the drinks I ordered wasn't really to my liking (Avocolada), but there's one drink on the menu good enough to give this smoothie place 5 stars anyway: CHIA BANANA!!!! Get it with peanut butter, and you won't regret it. It's a hidden secret not on the menu (not sure why) but it's probably the best smoothie I've ever had. Chia seeds, roasted banana, peanut butter, dates, and almonds? How much better can you get! read more

I came here for dinner last night. I ordered the açaí berry smoothie with whey and it was delicious. It didn't fill me up as much as I was hoping, but I didn't entirely expect it to. They also had wraps, panini-style sandwiches, and quesadillas that all looked delicious. There were several different flavors and several different styles of smoothies for plenty of options. The staff weren't able to answer my questions very well when I was asking about how reasonable it was to have a smoothie as a meal and also the difference between the different types of protein powders available, hence the four stars. If I lived in the area I would certainly go back for another smoothie or to try their buffalo chicken wrap. Also of note, smoothies are reasonably priced compared with other smoothie companies as are the wraps. read more

TSC is my Sunday cleanse go-to. Professionally consistent in delivering quality and timely food and service. Great Franchise.

Comfort food, I go here all the time. I get the chipotle club sandwich and a smoothie. The people who work are super nice. They always spit my smoothie into two small cups and make it with no sugar and add protein to only one of the cups. Couldn't ask for more. read more

I LOVE tropical smoothie, all of there smoothies and food is super good. This location only gets 2 stars because my smoothie was good, because I would give it 1 star. On my lunch break I came to this location today and the girl taking orders was extremely rude not someone I would have taking care of the customers with that attitude. All of the workers (there was a lot at busy lunch time) looked absolutely miserable, all looked like they hated being there. I ordered a smoothie and a salad bowl, I got my bag of food and raced back to work to find out I was given a wrap and not the salad bowl I asked for. Maybe if the girl taking the orders took the time to be nicer to the customers she would have got my order right, or offered me a receipt and I could have seen that she was incorrect. I will not be going back to that location, rude employees make it uncomfortable to even be there for the food. read more
