Trophy Cafe is a small restaurant in New Duluth. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Reservations are not needed and if the inside is full you can sit on the picnic table style patio in an enclosed space and enjoy your food in the sun. They have quite a few options for breakfast. This place is super close to our church on the West side. It was a packed house on Sunday at noon. The service from Willow was exceptional. I enjoyed a very basic coffee. They sell bottles of Sweet Leaf tea. Basil had the Philly omelet and the bite I had was very good. He upped to the breakfast potato. I enjoyed my hash browns. I got the veggie omelet. It wasn't perfect. It was folded in such a way that the filling fell out of the bottom. The mushrooms were cut too thick, tomatoes not the freshest, not a lot of cheese. I'll probably just order a cheese and onion next year. Basil's omelet was folded just right, nevertheless. We snagged a nice private corner table. Excellent breakfast! Massive portions. Very tasty. I had the three meat skillet. It had ham, bacon and sausage on top of hashbrowns. On top of that, it had two eggs over easy and their sausage country gravy. My nephew had the stuffed omelette. That thing is huge, like bigger than your arm in diameter. He said it was great. Are they set up with Door Dash delivery which is the best delivery service This little cafe is No More a little established and little business. It has outstanding fabulous fantastic deals food and superb professional and polite courtesy upon ordering your choice of food and drinks. Recommended by others as a great place to Dine . Nice enough looking joint at first glance. Animal heads all over walls, so the owner is obviously a fan of thrill-killing. Fox News on the TV, which is starting to make sense. I'm already feeling like this is a place I might not to help fund with my hard-earned money, but I'm hungry & have already sat down. To the meal... Coffee is alright, though the creamer is some Coffee-mate shit, which contains "milk ingredients". Not exactly a good sign for a healthy meal to come. I ordered the Trophy #3. We'll see how this goes. Been waiting for my food for a little while now, but not too bad. Place is packed & under-staffed. It's seat yourself, which is not smart, because a young couple with a baby stood at the entryway for over 15 minutes while patrons switched tables when a better one would open up. Not a conducive scene. Oh, and almost a half hour waiting for my food now... ...and now it's here. Eggs look strangely uniform in color, and are cold in places. Probably because they went from flat-top onto a cold plate. Not smart. Bacon is perfect. Hash browns are a bland, glistening, luke-warm pile. I won't be finishing them, or the eggs. The plate smells weird, save for the bacon. As you can see, the French toast is served on a tiny plate. It's cold in places at first bite, and is very bland. I didn't finish it either. To summarize - the atmosphere was better than the food, which does not speak to the excellence of the atmosphere, but to the totally underwhelming nature of the food. Yelp makes me give every place at least one star, which in the case of the Trophy Cafe, was earned by the waitress. She was cool. Everything else? Skip it. Unless you're starving & on foot when you happen across this place, your best option is to keep driving past it. read more

Small town diner - yes Delicious breakfast and ambiance that you expect from a small town diner - absolutely Animal heads on the wall - yeeeeep! Swung by here on our way home from Duluth. I got a look at a photo on Google and knew my step dad would love it for the small home town diner thing, and my husband would love it because of the literal trophies on the walls. Food was solid and just what I was expecting, and prices were perfect. A little slip with SD's food (they cooked his hashbrowns to death when he requested almost no cooking) and our waitress immediately got it fixed. We'll be back! read more

This is a third visit for us coming up to ski, and this cafe is the BEST restaurant around! The food and service is fantastic, while the prices are quite low compared to most other places like Perkins, IHOP, etc. plus, the servers are so attentive and pleasant. We learned from one today that the owners are also quite wonderful too, having kept all of their employees on the payroll throughout the pandemic! Oh, and the coffee is great! read more

Old school coffee shop. You are immediately met with the smell of food from the kitchen as you walk through the door, and it smells delicious. It tasted as it smelled. I had the "made from scratch" biscuits and gravy. My wife had the eggs and bacon. The food is no frills and solid. Highly recommend if you are in the area. read more

Food is usually great and somewhat affordable but they rarely answer the phone for people and get rude when they are a little busy. I just called and was told they are not taking orders because they are too busy. How about we are pretty busy is half hour hr okay? Horrible customer service.
