Orange Creamsicle cheesecake
Lisa N.

My partner picked this up and brought it home for me since he was hanging out with friends near here. I asked him to get me a butter croissant as well (that's my base for judging bakeries) and the croissant was alright. It wasn't super flakes and it was kind of dense. The Orange Creamsicle cheesecake was DELICIOUS. I'm a sucker for orange creamsicle. It's one of those nostalgic flavors for me (looking at you flintstones orange push pops). To be honestly the chocolate on the sides weirded me out cause I'm not a chocolate/fruit combo person. But honestly you don't even taste it. It just adds a nice crisp to the bite. My only "complaint" is the Graham cracker crust was kinda soft. You can't really distinguish it from the rest of the cheesecake. But I loved how it wasn't overly sweet and you don't get sick of the texture. I kept going back for more. Probably one if the best cheesecakes I've had in quite some time honestly and makes me want to try to recreate it myself or go back to this bakery JUST for this. I think it was around $7 which isn't too bad! It's just far out of our way

Sausage and cheddar quiche

Came here because they had quiche. It was underwhelming to say the least. $8 and was something you could quite easily make at home. Crust was lacking and the texture of the quiche was not it. I prefer Detour bakery's quiche much much more. Very disappointing especially for the price!!!

New kid on the block: Guava Cream Cheese!!

I just had a wonderful visit at one of my favorite bakeries in town and that's none other than Trompeau Bakery. This occasion was to claim my free bday sweet croissant which they notified me of via text yesterday. I simply wasted no time coming here today!! Service: They are simply a kind-hearted group of people that work here. The lady who first assisted me was patient; she didn't rush me or anything and said to take my time to choose the one I'd want as my free one. She, of course, said, "Happy Birthday!" to me at the end. The guy who checked me out was also very kind. "Alright, free one! That's nice, huh?" I do pay attention to kind words uttered by workers when I utilize a service. Not just the kind words, the gestures and demeanors demonstrated to match those kinds words are truly important and this is what makes a business (small or large) remarkable and we all want to come back to support them. Thank you! Food/Beverage: My Chocolate Almond Croissant was dense and heavy loaded with everything. I tasted all the ingredients that rushed into my mouth and entertained my palate. Cortado to accompany my sweet croissant was also perfectly made. Inside the restaurant: Inviting and quaint as usual. And it's very organized with spot-on cleanliness. As long as the weather permits, you can always sit outside in the patio. Thanks, Trompeau Bakery for serving us the residents for so many years. You are one of the gem restaurants that the Denver Metro can boast.

Wow! What amazing pastries! This is an exceptional bakery with great bread and sweets. They also serve a great Americano. Outdoor seating when weather allows.

Still love this place. Great pastry. This time I got a cherry and cheese danish that I'm super excited about. One of these days I'll make it in for lunch. They have some great looking options.

Chile Rellenaux.
Jon L.

Chili Relleneux. Yeah, that's not misspelled? It's an excellent fusion of French and Mexican. The pastries are some of the best you will find this side of the Atlantic--so many croissants are either doughy or down right crumbly but these strike an excellent balance. Vibe is solid and cutesy French but it's a working bakery.

Great pastries! We come here every weekend for their cheese danish. Their cinnamon roll and guava cream cheese croissant are also outstanding. Quick service and no frill indoor and outdoor dinning area.

Either or?
 No.
 Both.

Simply one of the best bakeries in the Denver metro area. They used to be in Denver proper but years ago they moved down south on Broadway. The drive, however, is worth it. A neat busy place with only about 20 indoor table seats, but a well heated patio allows some flexibility on crowded days like today's 50+ degree winter weekend at brunch-time. Couldn't decide between their ham and cheese croissant or their cheddar jalapeno quiche, so like a good over-privileged American consumer...I bought them both. The croissant won because at heart I can't bring myself to appreciate a quiche made with cheddar cheese so it really never had a chance. Stop on by when you wanna put on a pound or two. Sign me, David "love handles"M

Overall good but wasn't blown away. Went later in the day and even though a lot of stuff was gone we were able to get the Chile relleno croissant which was amazing and unique. We also got a baguette which I found was too crumbly. Overall decent bakery but I didn't feel like it was an authentic French bakery. Service was nice.

Stopped into this bakery in a strip mall off of Broadway. There was a patio where people were sitting and enjoying coffee and pastries, and plenty of seating inside. The pastries were priced well and baked fresh daily. Highly recommend!

The fruits sandwich made with shokupan bread was light and fresh, an excellent pick-me-up. This is a standard Japanese snack done beautifully. The mixed berries (a Danish made with croissant dough) was a delight in looks and taste. Neither item was excessively sweet. They were just right. The beef curry wrapped in dough, crusted in panko crumbs, and deep-fried was excellent. The curry itself had real flavor and zest, and the surrounding crust was delicious too. Not only a great accompaniment, but also a very cool way to eat curry with your bare hands. A very generous serving too. My brother got the most beautiful-looking chocolate croissant! And my son bought himself a chocolate cornet, which surprised me by being soft baked dough. Haven't tasted them, but I couldn't wait to post this review. I look forward to trying something with cream cheese or custard next time. Unfortunately they were out of the bacon epi, but that happens with bakeries. Good advice to call the day before if your heart is set on a particular item. We were just lucky to get the rest of the items on our list on a Saturday at lunchtime. Somewhat small on the inside with a cute bar, a variety of both high and low top seating, and a bakery case for quick ordering near the entrance. Service was excellent and it was clean and bright inside. The food was out of this world good. First off, I'm a sucker for a London Fog and this was one of the best I've had. Their cocktails all look super good and will be back to try some. Our table ordered a variety of meals and some pastries to-go. We tried the hash, Benny, stuffed French toast, veggie omelet, sourdough baguette, macarons, croissants, and a pop tart. For the meals: - hash (corned beef is perfectly cooked and it's a nice sized portion with a runny poached egg on top and hollandaise over a crispy/well-seasoned Rösti - very good but a little on the heavy side for me) - benny (loved the flavors of this one and that duck confit was so flavorful and tender. Also, loved the bright, refreshing salad it comes with) - veggie omelet (I didn't try this one, but my brother in law said it was a great, traditional omelet - nice and cheesy) - stuffed French toast (WOWWWW - no notes. It was sublime. The passionfruit stuffing was to die for and it comes with a candied honeycomb. Not something I normally order, but we split it for the table and everyone wanted another one it was so good!) The sourdough baguette is perfect and has little flakes of sea salt on the crust. Crunchy on the outside and soft and spongey on the inside. All of the pastries are delicious and I've got my eye on so many more things for the next visit. 10/10 experience.

FOOD: Gallo has a complete menu of every Italian restaurant staple you can make, and its feel of authenticity is enhanced by the wide variety of pasta and baked goods in a shop up front (which you can add to your check to have for dessert). The garlic knots are mandatory to order; I would go there for just a meal of them. My wife subbed in gnocchi for pasta in a vodka sauce, both of which were quite good. I had a lasagna Bolognese which was tasty, but a bit heavy on the bechemel and a little too overall soft (lasagna shouldn't squish). We had a couple of desserts from the bakery, and they were decadently spectacular. Cocktails were also quite good. SERVICE: This place felt like, if you showed up twice, they'd welcome you into the family, ask about your kids, come over and visit, etc. This made things friendly (even with strangers), but made the service only good, not great. AMBIANCE: The place looks to have been redecorated recently, and is stylish and comfortable. Almost too stylish -- the "supper club" / "mia famiglia" image just didn't quite work with the high-end decor. TIP: The place is in downtown Englewood on Broadway -- but has a great public parking lot behind. NET-NET: a darned good place -- but not enough for the distance we'd usually need travel to it, compared to darned good Italian places we have closer to home. I would never turn down an invitation from friends to join them there, but it wouldn't be my first choice to go to.
