You will find this ice cream shop in the heart old town Nashville, IN. There is free street parking…read moreand commercial lots within a reasonable walking distance. The shop has an odd set up.You walk down a somewhat long passageway to get to it. The shop itself is not very big. There are some tables to dine at though just outside of the shop, just off of the passage way. The shop had a bunch of ice cream to choose from. I would say about 40 flavors. The guy working the counter was nice enough, but my interaction with him was limited. I orderd two scoops of Black Walnut ice cream. It was ok. I felt that it tasted like your typical ice cream. I think it was definitely over priced at $9. Don't get me wrong, the ice cream is good. It just did not set itself apart from the other ice cream shops that I have been too. Anyway, this is a viable option for those looking to find frozen treats in Nashville, IN

The Good: Ice Cream: Absolutely delicious. The strawberry…read moreand Oreo cookie flavors make a top-tier sundae. The Quality: Easily some of the best ice cream you can find. The Service: Good, friendly, and helpful, even if it is not quite top-level perfection. The Theme: A cool, historic building from 1900 with a fun old-time soda fountain concept. The Bad The Music: The continuous antique pipe organ sounds were monotonous. Playing peppy 1940s or 1950s tunes would make the experience much more fun and lively. The Idea: Save the nostalgic pipe organ for a rare, special background moment instead of playing it the whole time.

Unfortunately, we were refused service, even though another girls' softball team had just been served before we arrived. We understand that restaurants can become busy and sometimes have limitations, but it was frustrating to see one team accommodated while ours was turned away. The inconsistency left our players, parents, and coaches feeling unwelcome. It's a beautiful restaurant with a great reputation, which made the experience even more disappointing. We had been looking forward to visiting, but based on how our group was treated, we'll be choosing other places to support in the future.

Sallie's offers a full list of flavors, many you won't find at most ice cream shops. After much thought I decided on banana and sweet corn with chocolate shell on the banana only. The employees were fun to talk to, incredibly nice and helpful. To top it all off sprinkles were free! Find this place when you're in Madison. It will make your day.

Of course my daughter landed and the rainbow yogurt while I picked a raspberry cheesecake yogurt. I opted for a waffle cone but the waffle bowl was a close second. Ice cream in tow, we headed outside to enjoy the fresh air and patio seating on the sidewalk. The ice cream was very creamy and loaded with flavor.
