There were a lot of delays and cancellations due to weather, so they did have a waitlist sign towards the front to be able to easily join the waitlist from your phone. Since it was just me, myself, and I...my total wait was 2 mins, I barely made it to sit down in the food court area when I got the text. It was super easy to scan in my lounge pass, boarding pass, then grab a seat. Not a huge lounge, but lots of outlets, WiFi, different types of seating. A few different options including, bowl of fruit, toast, oatmeal, pancakes, egg mixture. I did enjoy the spa water. They also have 2 restrooms and a bar in there. I'm crazy and brought avocados with me from home because I didn't want them to die while I was traveling; made for a nice accompaniment for their egg mixture.

I do think they need a little more crowd control, let people wait a little longer rather than cram everyone in. The menu is the same menu as other The Club locations, as I found out that day visiting multiple lounges. Just a couple of soups, salad bar, and dessert. I did have a brownie that somehow they had themed Chicago, and I will say it was an excellent brownie. The bathrooms are also far too few and cramped. Someone had cleared my drink away while I was in the bathroom. Understandable but this just seemed like a really chaotic place. I left quickly because the inside of the lounge seemed more cramped and busy compared to out in the terminal.

I get why it is always booked. If I was to come back, I would do it all again except ...maybe instead of the burger... try something else hmm

The cocktails were beautifully crafted and worth the visit alone. The food was good, but not necessarily the star of the night. What really stood out was the atmosphere and the service, both absolutely incredible. One of those places you go for the vibe as much as the meal.

Reservations are not required. I was able to walk-in and have a few seats to choose from, but it doesn't hurt to make one if you're eating. I had been enjoying the city after a day of shopping and dinner at Joe's. A friend recommended this lovely bar/lounge. We are not from these parts of the U.S. and love to explore. This lounge is on the second floor of the Chicago Athletic Association building. Part of the Hyatt chain. I was warmly greeted by host and placed next to an old fireplace in front of the bar area. I was seated facing the entire lobby. I was enjoying the Gothic architecture. It was dark and a soothing atmosphere. I appreciated the appropriate music playing as well. It was a perfect way to end my day. I had a glass of champagne and my server recommended the Basque cheesecake. Which was perfect cause I recently visited San Sebastian, Spain. The Basque region makes a great cheesecake. The burned caramelized top complimented my champagne well. There is a room/bar in the back room of where I was. A great bar with games and TVs for sports. After enjoying my nightcap, I walked downstairs and was able to order a ride-share and wait in the warm entry of the building. This hotel is directly across the famous Bean which is in the beautiful Millennium Park. During the day, I highly recommend checking that park out.

We sat at a high top table next to the bar. Our server was friendly and checked on us frequently but not enough to be a pest. I appreciated her cheery attitude. He ordered the rib tip dinner which is slow-smoked pork rib tips in BBQ sauce, dinner portion. I went with a cup of seafood gumbo and the Cajun BBQ shrimp grilled in Cajun butter sauce with garlic, green onions accompanied with French bread for dipping into the sauce. The crusty bread went well with the sauce. I enjoyed my shrimp very much. It could have more taste in the sauce but the shrimp was cooked well so it was not chewy. I also asked for bread for the seafood gumbo. It came with butter and was enough for both of us. The soup was fairly decent. Not the best I've had but I would order it again. The portion was perfect as it didn't fill me up so I was able to enjoy dinner without feeling stuffed. His pork rib tips were divine. Melted in your mouth soft and the bbq sauce was delish. The atmosphere was fun and sports were on the tv screens around the lounge. But it was not too loud in here for conversation. You can also pick songs to be played using the music app. He suggested I use the restrooms in the restaurant portion of the building as they might be cleaner. They have a parking lot and a sign which says not to park on Natchez or Neenah as your vehicle might be ticketed or towed by police. They put up signs to show you which way to enter the small parking lot and which way to exit so be on the lookout for them especially during busy hours. I liked this restaurant and would return.
