Snap Delivery is a bike messenger service that I recently started using to deliver wine from my…read moreshop all around the 'hood of Williamsburg. Snap has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Here's why: - Left a message to inquire and the organizer of this service, Hugo, came to the store to meet and discuss their services. - Hugo hooked us up with a delivery person that covers all the local restaurants in our area so we do not need to hire someone independently. Or he does it himself. Snap also offers messenger services around Manhattan and Manhattan to Brooklyn. - Messenger shows up within minutes of our calls to pick up outgoing wine. Customers have noted how fast and friendly they are. - Found us the best deal on printing our delivery postcards- $175 for 2500 cards- then offered to pick them up and distribute them around Williamsburg, Greenpoint and Bushwick. - When delivering cases of wine, the messenger opens his bag, put the whole box in, slings it over his shoulders, and hops on the bike. Say they can do this with up to two cases... ...oh, Snap! Color me impressed. pssst: Blue Angel Wines now offers free delivery throughout Williamsburg, Bushwick and Greenpoint. :)

The key is finding one who will do it for less $$ than it takes for me to cab from one end of the city to the other. The search began... After a $28 quote from Urban Express I decided to do a bit more research to find a courier for my small package of Yelp subway maps going to the Water Charity in Soho. NY Minute arrived 30 minutes after my call, charged $12 on my credit card and whipped my box downtown lickety split! I hadn't even finished wrapping it up when they arrived and the guy sweetly helped me get everything together. Less than an hour later my stuff arrived at the destination and I hardly broke a sweat! Calling them back today (I forgot to get a receipt) the receptionist was incredibly friendly and quick. These guys are now on the office quick list for inter-city deliveries in a "NY Minute" and I'm still waiting for Mary Kate and Ashley to show up in bike shorts and backpacks...maybe next time.

I had a few days to calm down over the very simple pick up…read more When I called to make arrangements for the pick up, I had asked for an 11 am pick up but after speaking to the woman and factoring in the time I need to get to the location of the pickup, I had told her to push it back 1/2 an hour so the moving guy will not have to wait. I explained that I had the an industrial sewing machine which is about 4 feet tall and 5 feet wide. She asked me how much it weight and I clearly told her about 75 pounds or more. She told me she recommend a van and I agreed. I had for 1 guy because I had guys at pick up and drop off locations. The guy in essence will only need to drive the machine. You think this would be smooth sailing. At exactly 11:25, the machine was in the loading doc waiting for the guy to show up with the van. Half an hour goes by and I call the company asking where the van was. While I was on the phone with Jesse the moving guy comes up and asked me I was moving the machine. I see he has a minivan. WTF!!! what moving company will misrepresent their vehicles in such a flagrant LIE. A minivan is not a VAN! The guy tells him my machine in much bigger and is 200 pounds.
