When I went to retrieve my car, the woman in the office could not have been more rude. They damaged the electrical system in my car so badly that I had to have it towed to the dealership. When I asked the woman for the name of the owner of Triton Towing, she responded, "I don't have to tell you that." I reached out to the email address they gave me for the business and have heard nothing back from them. My car was towed while I was in the hospital having major surgery! I come home weeks later to a missing vehicle! That's fine, it was inoperable so I was under the impression I could just go pick it up once I could walk again (reasonable timeframe of 6 weeks)- nope! The car was sold at auction with no notice to me at all! I called to get info, of course they don't give their names all he said it "once it's auctioned it's not our problem" - that's unacceptable! I'm now getting red light ticket statements because the title is still in my name! How do you sell a car without transferring the title!! If negative stars were an option, that's what I would choose. First off, the staff member was horribly rude on the phone (unsolicited). I learned they don't take Amex, so I was required to withdraw cash. Upon arriving at their facility, I was told they "don't have change" for the cash I was required to pay with. After trying to get my change back, I was told that it was "impossible", so now I am out an extra $11 on top of the $245 required to get my car back. RIPOFF, RIPOFF, RIPOFF, Had a wreck near Pflugerville Thursday night about 7 pm. Police called triton to tow the vehicle which was not drivable. The only document their driver gave me showed a $200 fee for the tow of less than 5 miles, but one expects exorbitant charges in those circumstances. The ripoff occurred when I went to get the vehicle released to the second tow company to take to the repair facility. With no advance notice and no approval they added five days storage for approx 72 hours, an impound fee and a notification fee. $198 added to the bill for no reason and as important no advance notice. It was pay this or we keep the vehicle. Wish there was zero stars, terrible business practices. read more

I had my buddy visiting from out of town to show him around. Did everything I was supposed to in order for him to have access to visitors parking at my apartment. Problem is, it only lasts for 24 hours, and his car was towed just a few hours after it expired. Which, to me, means some greasy little pervert of a tow truck driver was standing there rubbing their disgusting hands together while they waited for the clock to run out on my guest. The Apartment Complex that my step-daughter lives (Marquis @ Great Hills Trail) had her car towed after she tried to register the car as a visitor. The wifi apparently timed out before it successfully registered the car. Even though she parked in a visitor parking spot they called to have Triton tow it at the owner's expense. Triton quoted my step-son a price of $230 to p/u for the next day. When it was picked up they claimed that they had said that was only the price if they picked it up right away, which was not true. When my wife and the friend whose car was towed arrived to pick up this morning ( 9 hours after it was towed), they told them it would not be $230, but that it is $253 and claimed they never said what they told the step-son. I have pretty well learned (over time) that nearly all towing companies are predatory and now a few more people know as well. After reading the reviews and hearing personal recommendations for this, it pains me to write this review. I love local businesses, and prefer them. I made an appointment with Triton on Friday morning, to have my truck towed on Saturday morning at 9am. The reviewers are correct, the lady answering the phone, is so nice and helpful. Great phone customer service. On Saturday morning, I receive a call , stating they do not have any trucks working to tow my vehicle. Trying to be understanding, I agreed to move my appointment to Sunday morning at 9am. Sunday morning 9am came, no call, no show of a truck. I called the company again, and the lady answering was very nice, but had to take all my information again, as if I never had an appointment. She said a truck would contact me soon. Waited another two hours till 11am, still no call, no truck. I called her back and cancelled the appointment. I hope I am a one off experience, and it was just a bad weekend. read more

I had been in the heat for 5 hours with a broken down car and I really appreciated the kind smile and helpful service. Tony did a great job and was very nice to me after a long hard day. I have no idea what their rates are because my insurance company paid for it BUT whatever they are, it's worth it. The transmission on my minivan went kaput yesterday afternoon while out running errands with my kids. I got safely out of the way with the help of a good samaritan, hopped on Yelp, and looked for a towing company. The dispatcher was very nice, took my info, and within 20 minutes, Chris Johnson arrived to help. He apologized for taking so long but I was thanking him for arriving so quickly. Within just a few minutes, he had my minivan on the flatbed and ran my credit card. Just $80! I had him tow my van over to Dave's Automotive on Howard (we've been going to Dave's for years... great mechanic). Easy-peasy interaction. Chris was polite, personable, skilled, and kind. These guys were awesome. First of all, they were cheaper than some of the other companies I spoke with. They also warned me that if I had my car towed to my apt complex, it would likely get towed again as the registration was out. (I should have known this but didn't think of it- therefore they saved me money & possibly lost $ from not towing my car again). Very ethical company - see their website for more details on how they dont engage in illegal towing practices. I opted to pay with a credit card & they let me know there was a $6 charge for credit card payments, and then offered to wait if I wanted to run to an ATM to get some cash. Who wants to wake up and find that their car isn't working properly? I'll venture a guess and say, um, no one. Well, that is exactly what happened to me this morning. I called Triton Towing and the woman who assisted me could not have been more polite and helpful. She said that they would be at my house within the hour and she was correct. Brian, the driver, just finished hitching up the vehicle to be taken to the shop. He was quick, polite and efficient. When a stressful situation arises like this one I am glad there are folks like Triton to help smooth out the rough edges. read more

Awful experience. This was my first experience with them, and probably my last. I called at about 10 a.m. to get a vehicle towed off the side of the road. The first girl I talked to said there wasn't anyone available to come tow the vehicle, but she thought maybe she would have something available in an hour an a half or so. An hour and a half passes. I call them back, and I talk with a different girl (apparently). They still don't have anyone available. I ask for the phone number to another service who might have someone available, and she gives me another number. I explicitly tell this girl not to cancel the fact that I need a vehicle towed - I will call her back and cancel if something else works out. OK, she says. I called the other line, and they aren't able to work anything out for me. I wait four more hours, and then call back to Triton. It is now the end of the work day, and I come to find out that they did, in fact, cancel me on their list, so they skipped right over me. This new girl I'm talking to apologizes and says she's sending someone to the location where the vehicle is right away. I say I'll leave to meet her there. I call along the way to explain we're stuck in rush hour traffic. She says OK, and that the tow vehicle is on its way. I get there, and I call. It turns out the tow truck is servicing someone else at the moment, and it will be on its way soon to deliver that vehicle to the pound, and then it will come to get mine. I ask for an estimate - they have none. I wait an hour, and call back. She assures me the other vehicle finally got dropped off, and the truck is now coming for my vehicle. I wait another half an hour, and call again for an update. She says the truck is a few miles north of where I am. About another 5 minutes of waiting, and it shows up (I've been waiting for an hour and a half.) AANNNND here's the clincher - the truck she sent isn't a tow truck at all. It's a roadside assistance vehicle, with no ability to help me tow my vehicle. At this point, I totally give up and just go back home. I'm not going to make any recommendations about whether to use this service or not, just here to tell you my experience was dysfunctional and a total waste of time. Amazing experience with these guys. I worked with John, who went above and beyond helping us problem solve a sticky situation involving a stalled car, lost wallet, change of destination mid-delivery, etc. With everything I threw at him, John never sounded put-out and he always responded with "No problem!". We couldn't be there to meet him at pickup or delivery - No problem! Car is parked facing the wrong way - No problem! The mechanic can't take the car and we need to redirect to another location mid-delivery - No problem! I left my wallet in the car and needed him to hide it for me AND I have to pay over the phone - No problem! I had to call John 10 times to coordinate the whole debacle - No problem! I called today just to ask questions, the man on the phone was by far the most rude - out of line buisness man I have ever spoken too. So yesterday unfortunately our car was towed in front of our house around 6pm. Once we got to the towing place in Pflugerville a worker named Eric asked for the insurance card which was locked inside the car because he locked all the doors and unfortunately our key is broken so if you lock the car it will not open. He then told us in a rude manner "we better not try to break into it" which of course was never an option. He then got a phone call from a customer lied to the customer and said "he could not make it to them, because he was driving" although he was standing right in front of us. Then told us he would have to leave soon so we need to figure something out. And that we would have to call a locksmith and we would have to pay an additional $30 on top of the $290 for them to tow the car down the street off the property because no work is allowed to be done on the property. So since It was already 10pm at this point and he was rushing us off we asked if we would get charged another day if we came back the next day he said no its a full 24 hours from when it was picked up so as long as we came before 6pm we would be fine. We went back today a different person helped us, a lady who was very nice and more understanding. She told us that our $290 had gone up to $314 because it goes by the calender date not 24hrs from pick up and she also stated that we would not have to get the car towed down the street and pay an extra $30 the locksmith could unlock it there. So yes this is a bad review for not nesscsarily the TritonCompany because the 2nd worker was very helpful but ERIC was absolutely horrible, dishonest, rude, and honestly a little discriminatory. I was introduced to the gentlemen at Triton Towing after a series of unfortunate events. My car had been stolen in Austin and somehow slipped through the cracks of both APD and the Travis County Sheriff as a stolen vehicle. It was towed by Triton the day after it went missing and unfortunately I was not made aware until the vehicle had accrued a generous amount of storage fees. I met Triton's owner, Greg the first day I went out to the lot to investigate my vehicle. He was friendly, sympathetic and genuine. Much to my surprise, he ended up waiving the storage fees on my vehicle. This was a huge relief and incredibly generous! Over the next few weeks, I developed a warm and friendly relationship with Triton's manager Tele. He was very understanding and incredibly helpful. Best experience with towing ever... We were bummed out to find out our old car finally bit the dust. We happened to be near the Stone Hill shopping center in Pflugerville so we ended up at Firestone to look at it. Well it was a loss and time for that vehicle to RIP. Still needed to bring it home and it was undrivable. Firestone called Triton and they were on site within 30 minutes ! 10 minutes later they were in my driveway with said vehicle and the driver was even sweet enough to back it into my garage for me, which i expected to have to do on my own later. He even took consideration as to exactly where he put it in my garage so that we would still have space to move and walk around. Although I'm bummed about my car, I'm very pleased with the service I have received and highly recommend Triton. If i ever need a tow in the future (and i hope i dont! ) I'll definitely call on them again. read more

Triton was cheaper than all of the other wrecker services i had previously called, except in this case when i had asked questions(i just moved here from oklahoma) she didnt treat me like i was a complete moron. I don't know how you can have a better experience than we did. Daughter's car was broken down right on 35. Googled towing and they came up. The lady that answered the phone was nice, reassuring, professional, told me how much right at the beginning. $90 for 15 miles of towing which seemed like a bargain when they showed up in less than 10 minutes and took about 2 minutes to load it up and take it to the auto shop I wanted to go to.
