They use the highest quality organic fruits and vegetables and are most famous for their cold-pressed juices. Instead of getting a cold-pressed juice, I decided to get one of their açai bowls. Here's my rundown: Food There were three açai bowls to choose from - classic, beauty, and soul. I got the beauty açai bowl which had the açai, avocado, coconut oil, and almond milk blend topped with bananas, granola, coconut flakes and fresh strawberries. The açai blend was smooth and rich in flavour while the fresh fruit and oats made for great flavours and textures. It was a very refreshing treat to get and had the perfect balance between all ingredients. Atmosphere Can't really comment on the atmosphere here because the store is quite small and has minimal seating. There were about 4 high chairs to sit but it's more meant to be used while you're waiting for your drinks or bowls. It's small like most downtown cafés and this place is more so for those grab and go type of people. Service Service was really friendly and the employee was helpful in helping me make a decision about the type of bowl to get. No complaints here; they were really inviting and patient with my indecisiveness. Price I paid $10 for the açai bowl! A little pricy but you're paying for quality organic food here so it's worth every dollar. Verdict Refresh is indeed a refreshing experience has they use only the finest organic fruits to make their products. I'm excited to return here to try their juices and other açai bowls. Definitely worth a try if you're roaming around downtown Guelph. A well-deserved 5/5 experience!

It has a nice vibe and is small and cozy, suitable for a quick bite but I would say not for large groups to gather or for one to stay and study there. Yes, this was refreshing after a day of hiking the falls of Hamilton. Yes, it was very healthy. Yes, service was amazingly friendly and cheerful. Yes, the atmosphere was relaxing and trendy. No, the smoothies were not amazing. Don't get me wrong, they were good, but they didn't exactly taste like what they were supposed to taste like. I think they just need to reformulate the amounts of the ingredients that go into the smoothies. All of their smoothies have a spinach and kale base. I ordered the Sobi-Smoothie "Strawberries and Cream", which had strawberries, bananas, coconut milk, almonds, and cranberries. My cousin ordered the Mumbai Mango, which had mangoes, bananas, and coconut milk. Our other cousin ordered the Chocolate Cherry. While I enjoyed tasting all the smoothies, I felt that they mostly tasted the same; the only smoothie where I could taste all the flavors was the Chocolate Cherry. The use of coconut milk in the other two smoothies was extremely heavy-handed because that was the dominant flavor in both of them. You couldn't even taste the bananas, which are usually a very strong flavor profile. It felt like we were mostly drinking the coconut milk smoothies with a hint of strawberries or a hint of mangoes, not the other way around. That said, you definitely feel good about yourself when you eat here because you know exactly what you're putting into your body. The GSB has a menu of foods, smoothies, and snacks that are all 100% organic and vegan; they are also an extremely green business (no pun intended) and compost all their waste -- even their cups, straws, and food containers are compost friendly. All in all, I'd check this place out again if I ever go back to Hamilton; I'd probably ask for less coconut milk though.

While the service was friendly, and the smoothie I ordered was really good, I was disappointed by the lack of fresh juice options. When I looked into the fridge, there were only three pre-bottled juices left, and I didn't see an option on the menu to get a fresh juice made to order. For a place calling itself a juice bar, I expected much more variety and a fresh prep option. The interior space is also quite limited, with very restricted seating available. Overall, friendly service and tasty smoothies are great, but the limited and pre-packaged juice selection is the main drawback. I hope they expand their fresh juice offerings soon!
