This is an area we are unfamiliar with and let alone we ended up pulling into this sketchy area as it was the closest off the freeway. It was so scary and we had to abandon our vehicle due to not being able to get roadside service right away. My family and I had to leave our vehicle behind an alley and run to find a safe place to find a tow company. I called a few places and they told them our situation and they were quoting $600+ plus to tow and drive us back to the Valley. I ended up finding Hawks via Yelp and decided to give them a call. I ended up speaking with a nice individual and he quoted us half the price. They came to our rescue and had to bring a flatbed due to the type of vehicle we had. He drove us all the way from Lynwood to the Valley. I was cruising along in the second left lane. Suddenly, just past Vanaldan/Reseda Blvd. With no warning of any kind my car completely shut down. I slowly managed to reach the far right lane , where the car stopped and would not restart. The windows and doors were unable to be opened - I tried hard because the outside temperature was 104 degrees and in a few minutes I was terrified and frantic. I called AAA three times - no answer or callback. Nothing was working: there was no way to get out of the car. Soon after, I noticed that a vehicle with flashing lights had pulled up behind me and came to my far window: it was Mr. V Munns from Metro Freeway Service Patrol. Mr. Munns immediately tried to calm me down and assured me that he would take care of me. He tried to open the windows and door, but was not able to. He called AAA and got them to send a tow truck, which came quickly to take my car (with me) to BMW of Sherman Oaks - the closest repair option. I have to let you know how wonderful Mr. Munns was to me. I can't thank him and LA Roadside enough. I hope he knows how much I appreciate the person he is! I'll never forget him!
