It's small and intimate and most importantly Tina is wonderful and knows what she's doing. She gets it done quick so you're not sitting there in pain and honestly it hurt SO much less than waxing and I've tried dozens of high end waxing places in different cities. She also uses all natural products that calm the skin and she gives you a hot towel after to soothe everything and let you clean up after. I always hated other places that leave sticky wax on your underwear. (TMI but I also came in with my Aunt Flow and Tina was so cool about it didn't even bat an eye). I highly recommend this place and she sells nice all natural products but doesn't push you into buying anything. I purchased one of the calming serums and am excited to try it. She also books online which is nice so you don't have to call to book an appointment. ALSO new customers get a 10% discount which I wasn't expecting so it's not too bad compared to other waxing places around the area and honestly is worth every penny. RUN DONT WALK TO COME HERE!

I'm so, so low maintenance about my hair it's honestly sort of embarrassing. So much so that I…read moredidn't think anyone could screw my hair up, but alas. I went to a girl named Hayley (Haleigh? Hayleigh? I'm not sure how it's spelled) at the north Ames location. I just wanted my hair trimmed and a lightened -- balayage, highlights, whatever -- I didn't really care. I always trust my stylist to do what makes the most sense. That's it. Trim the dead ends and make my hair blonder. She seemed confident so I totally trusted her. First, she left me sitting with bleach in my hair for 40 minutes while she LEFT to go eat her dinner. She came back, took my to the sink to shampoo/rinse and put a toner in my hair. She left me there for another 55 minutes (super uncomfortable sitting with your head in a sink for 55 minutes lol) while she left to GO TO THE CAFE ACROSS THE STREET. What? She went to go buy cheesecake with her coworkers. She came back, ate her cheesecake, then came back to me. She washed my hair, blow dried it, and it was awful. My hair was grey and purple. Then she trimmed it, and screwed up the trimming around my face so much I ended up looking like I had a mullet. A grey and purple mullet. Yes. Anywho, I was polite about it but said I was unhappy and surprised by the result. She offered to try and fix it the next day and I declined and just asked to not be charged. They declined my request, and charged me almost twice the amount it said I'd be charged on their website ($113 on their website, and they charged $197). I went to Leedz Salon the next day and they fixed it. They're wizards. Please just go to Leedz instead and stay far away from this place.

She offered me water or to brew tea for me which I opted for some Chai with turmeric that was delicious. Lyn has a great personality and is all about the experience and making sure you're comfortable. This was my first time getting a Brazilian so I was nervous and of course uncomfortable with the exposure but again Lyn made the whole process as comfortable as she could. Recognizing that this was a very personal process for women and made sure to keep conversation through the whole process so my mind was focused on that and not being exposed. Pricing is great for the services provided and Lyn really went above and beyond! She's a great conversationalist which is awesome because I lack that skill so she was able to keep me talking and engaged. She is so kind and calming, definitely the type of lady you want to be sugaring your lady bits and then take her out for coffee or tea afterwards! Look forward to scheduling future appointments with her for sugaring as well as her business partner for facials!

I started with just a simple cut I was desperate. I told her about my past and how my hair is the most important aspect because of self confidence. The third time I came in she said we could start small if I wanted. I was confident to trust her and a little nervous but every step of the way she made me feel heard and supported. A lot stylists just want you in and and out and hardly even talk to you. When Jen does my hair we have amazing conversations and it always feels like you're just hanging with a friend! We started with an overall evened out brown and caramel lights and I was blown away. I felt so confident and beautiful. JEN did that. Now for my second coloring I wanted to be a bit bold and do a cowboy copper. I was scared and thought about backing out several times. I text with her to see if she felt it would match my complexion and she made me feel really good about my decision. BAM! yet again she made it look amazing. Another great set of conversations and if you constantly look at someone for their past how do you expect them to change? Jen has put in hard work and the best part of it is if you don't like her move on to someone else. Personally I will be staying put. I have never been happier with the services she provides and I never feel like she jips me or rips me off. She does hair at such a reasonable cost along with styling and a cut. Where some places would probably charge double! I am very lucky to have found jen and if you take a leap of faith you'll love her as much as I do! These posts aren't coming out of nowhere they are coming out of support for someone who truly loves what she does. Love you Jen!!
