If you're looking for some fancy scmancy beverly hills sparkling spa with outrageous prices, look else where, but if you want a tanning salon with great deals and prices with GREAT beds this is the place! I moved back from Los Angeles, temporarily and started tanning at 'Sun Tan City'. Took me two visits and I was OUT OF THERE! Semi-expensive prices, no deals, just to wait in line forever and deal with rude confused teenagers who have no idea what they are doing or care to. That place has realllly changed since I've been gone, wow. I've tanned MANY places and actually managed a very upscale (expensive, id never pay that much to tan lol) in Sherman Oaks, CA (LA suburb), called Le Beach Club. I'd much rather go here. I can actually remember the first time I tanned here and went into the ultra-bronze bed. Wayne explained everything to me (Since I was an unexperienced tanner) in great detail and even gave me a free lotion packet! Also, my sister got married in July 2013 and I was having some facial treatments done at the time that required no tanning at all. A few days before I panicked because I was vampire level pale lol. (I remembered going there once while Brittany was working and got an AMAZING airbrush tan. I was visiting home and my mother even commented, "Wow you look much more natural and tan than when you use the mystic at your work.") So I rushed down to the salon and got an airbrush tan 2 days before my sisters wedding, I was nervous due to the time crunch, but it looked GREAT. I love all the pictures and am SO glad I had it done, because I had not tanned in literally MONTHS Total Eclipse saved me before having horrible wedding photos for years! I had two amazing experiences here. One with Sonja, who does amazing haircuts for those of us with…read morenaturally curly hair. I have never experienced any issues with Sonja. Second, I took my grandsons here to have their cut. My 2-year old has only had one other professional cut, and my 1-year old had his first one here. Thank you COVID. Amber was their stylist, and she did an amazing job with the cut. Another lady, whom I didn't catch her name, did a beyond amazing job keeping both boys calm during their cut. Then what sealed the deal for the experience is the owner, Sophia, went to the back and brought them DumDum suckers to keep them entertained. It was a team effort to make sure my grandsons had a great experience! Pricing for my curly hair is spot on. Pricing for two little boy haircuts were a bit pricey at $25 each. However, I believe in you get what you pay for, and they received great haircuts and a good experience.

Now they have you wait in your car, check your temperature and fill out consents for Covid19. They then lead you in to their spa and take you straight to your room (I miss the lounge area with the fire and complimentary drinks, but I totally u see stand). This past visit I had a facial and absolutely loved it as I received amazing skin care as well as a mini massage to the places I hold the most stress/tension - arms, neck, scalp, face! Definitely enjoyed it and felt so calm and peaceful afterwards. My skin left feeling hydrated and glowing. Also one last thing to note - lovethe new location in Marion (so much closer for us)!

The Beauty Lounge offered the best overall experience of any salon I've tried in Cedar Rapids--and I've been shopping around for a while. The salon is small and very well decorated: it's feminine and clean without being frilly. The entire staff was personable and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Megan--the salon's owner--cut and colored my hair and she did an amazing job. She is very skilled as a stylist and she was really fun to talk to as well! She went the extra mile in every way during my appointment by taking the time to brew some fresh coffee for me, helping me sift through my Pinterest page to find the perfect cut, and by beautifully transforming my hair.
