So many people feel they need to travel far away to get good microblading or lash enhancements. Nope! These ladies are awesome! First "procedure" I had done with them was getting my eyebrows microbladed. I wasn't the "typical" client for microblading as I already had fairly defined brows but I was tired of spending time filling them in to make them as full as I wanted. Allie took a lot of time initially to set up my brows (something I'm incredibly thankful for seeing as her work would be on my face for up to 2 years) making sure my arch was where I wanted it and my brows began and ended where I preferred. Her insight was both valuable and appreciated. She takes her work very seriously and I was SO happy with how they turned out! Many people think this procedure is painful, it wasn't bad in my opinion. Allie made sure that the numbing cream was in effect before starting and she moved quickly (but precisely) to make sure I wasn't in pain. I've also had a lash lift and tint as well as extensions done by Riley. Riley is as precise and patient as her sister. The lift was beautiful and when I decided to do extensions she was happy to do it. Every other visit my boyfriend tags along and gets his feet cleaned up and usually the total is about $110 or around there. When it's just me going alone I'm charged somewhere between $45-55 for a simple design fill. When I get my nails done it's a simple design, and the pedicures we get are both basic. Why was today $145? We got the same exact things we always get. When I called she said that mine alone was $89... never has been before. In fact I had asked for OMBRÉ before and it still didn't total $145. It was for 11 o'clock I got there at 1115 so I was 15 minutes late but I thought I was 15 minutes early I apologized to everyone profusely for being late and the receptionist said that she'd go back and see if I could still keep my appointment the person that I had the appointment with was the top tier hairdresser and she said that yes she could take my appointment so I sat down in the chair the woman did not speak Only the minimum. I showed her photos of what i wanted. She began to dry cut my hair which I've had dry cut before so I was fine with it and she just seemed to act odd in that she didn't speak, smile, or ask any questions. She sat in a chair while she cut. That too was okay. At one point I asked her where the layers were starting. She indicated at my eyebrow. That was odd. I indicated I wanted layers to start at chin level. Honestly I was nervous to say anything because she created such a hostile environment. If she didn't want to cut my hair she should have said so. The cut looks like a different cut on each side. When the cut was completed (not near as many layers as I'd shown in the pictures) she asked me if I wanted a shampoo. What? I always enjoy sitting together when in weddings. Both the hair and makeup were quite rushed, but it looked fine enough for pictures until a couple of us had our fake eyelashes coming off I do know they refunded one person it happened to. I know the makeup lady I had kept asking if she was staying on pace to coworkers. That being said, they did have our hair and makeup time later in the morning than other weddings I've been in which was nice to sleep in. Overall, with a more quality experience of slowing down on service and improved eyelashes I think things can be improved. I think before I left the ladies had to rep in some of my hairs 3 times so that was new for me too, but I was happy to have such helpful people.

I know this to be fact because my hair is just the opposite: tight, coily, and thick. It can be coarse when the wrong shampoo is used(like the one they used on my hair this afternoon. I only go to this school because I'm on dialysis and just need a little help managing my type 4C coily hair. For 2 years I frequented this school(2017-2018) and always brought along products specifically formulated to moisturize and condition my type hair. Now today, they inform me that my products can't be used(BS). I only stopped going to this school because the girl who was doing my hair graduated last December. I've said this to them and I'll say it here: It's really some shameful shit that as a school, these idiots don't cover how to properly care for ALL types of hair and their curriculum doesn't even cover how to silk press. There are people that specialize in the proper care of black hair as well as the silk press. These people are too lazy and too comfortable living in their white privileged world to offer their students knowledge in ALL hair types.
