I had a great microdermabrasion on this visit! From scheduling the the appointment to checking out…read morethe front desk people were very friendly and knowledgeable. My esthetician was warm and friendly, she answered all my questions, was pleasant and professional. Please keep in mind, PCI is a beauty school. It's not a salon or spa, it's a school. There are girls everywhere, (and a couple of guys) lots of chatter. Not the most professional feeling, but again, it's a school. Shelby did my microdermabrasion, her pressure on my face was perfect, not too light, not to hard. She made sure of my comfort throughout the processes. She was telling me about the procedure and what she was doing (changing adapters, preparing to rinse...) as she worked. She's going to be great when she graduates, I'll follower her to whatever salon she goes to work for. Before leaving I scheduled my next appointment with her for a Hydrafacial. The products smelled amazing and my face already looks smoother! I know now the correct way to repair and care for my skin. (No more sun for my face! )

Recently got notified by email of this change to PCI's pricing. It's my inner-standing that this…read moreis a school and preforming services on people is part of the educational training requirement. Adding a service fee to the service price is a price increase. I doubt the students are being paid by PCI to perform services so the service price so be only for the costs and supplies utilitized to perform the services. I recommend people don't buy into this school's bs of a service fee. Beginning August 8th, a service fee will be included on all services. This charge helps account for the professional products and supplies used during each appointment, from hair color and styling products to skincare, nail, massage, and other service essentials. Your service price will continue to cover the time and techniques involved in your appointment, while the additional product charge will reflect the professional products used to achieve your result.

So, I don't ever write reviews because I know sometimes businesses just have a bad day or not…read moreenough employees covering. But, this was a terrible experience and thought I should share. My daughter went in for a highlight yesterday. she had a picture. In all fairness, the picture was significant lighter than her natural hair, so they did say it may take another appointment in three weeks to get the desired color. When done processing the hairdresser wouldn't let her see it until dried and styled and said you won't be happy because it doesn't look like it changed much. They told her it didn't lift right. In truth, her hair had not changed at all (possibly a tad lighter, but no one would have noticed any change). As you can see I am trying to be fair. I didn't notice a change either. I called them and person was nice saying since there was no change, they would see her the next day for no charge. It was their mistake. My daughter was told today, she would have to pay for the product. Now, the whole service would in total cost $125.00...more than a reputable salon for highlight only. This is a school. My daughter talked to several people explaining there was no change in color...there was even pictures of before and after to verify this. I called and they would not budge saying maybe we should go to our regular salon next time. They wanted to wash out the product from her hair and let her go without fully processing. Today, they added the product and then told my daughter the cost. So, they gave us two choices...leave it in and pay the additional cost or wash it out now without fully processing (not knowing what it will look like) and let her go. There was no choice as I wouldn't do that to my daughter. I asked that they treat my daughter well and not embarrass her, yet they made her feel like it was all her fault and they did nothing wrong. I have never had this kind of business anywhere. Usually the practice is "the customer is always right" even if there is a loss. We weren't wanting to cause problems or get a service free, just wanting them to admit their mistake and correct it for no charge on today's visit, as we had already paid $85.00. The managers never once said they were sorry.
