This is not a review of the spa itself but of their policy of not refunding an unwanted gift card to the original purchaser. They refuse to make an exception so I am left with a gift card I have no desire to use. Be aware if you purchase one. read more

Shawn always does an awesome job on my hair. All of the stylists and estheticians and nail techs are awesome and the nicest you'll ever meet. I always feel so good when I leave Bare Sugar. It's always a good time. read more

Bare Sugar - I love the cut and color Shawn gave me. - Skin Care Near Me - Mason City, Iowa

We had the BEST pedicures ever at Bare. We even got our hair branded during the procedure. The staff was wonderfully accommodating and entertaining and we can't wait to return soon!! read more

I had been a customer there for more than a year, as every month I had an appointment but the one for last Saturday mysteriously disappeared. I called the salon on Friday to ask why I had not received the confirmation text and the lady told me that I had no appointment, not only that, I didn't even have an appointment for November, and both were scheduled in advance since August, I still have the confirmation on my cell. Can you imagine my frustration receiving that notice just a day before the appointment and having my nephew's wedding in seven days‍ ‍according to them their computer system was updated and in that process, they lost some information as appointments, which I don't believeI suggest you keep in touch with them if you don't want that to happen to you, especially if you are Hispanic I am. read more

I absolutely love coming here to get sugared. Jenny is the best and she always makes me feel comfortable. I also got my hair cut here and I loved the way it turned out! read more

Love Bare Sugar so much!!! Just fantastic and my hair looked incredible! And wonderful facility and amazing vibe and service!!!

Had a great massage by Ronda! Cute salon and spa area. Can't wait to go back and try the Floating Room!

Very nice office space. Customer service is ok. I have came here twice. First time I was told my hair was too short (she did attempt at least), but the following day my regular sugarist had no troubles removing the hair. So I returned for a second attempt, only because I have a $50 gift certificate to use. This return attempt was met with "we don't have a sugarist available, can you come back tomorrow?" Total fail! read more

Kristen West has done eyelash extensions for me at both the Albert Lea and Mason City locations, she is amazing! I was interested in getting eyelash extensions for my wedding day, as the glue-on temporary ones have never worked well for me. Kristen is so precise and thorough, I've never had so many compliments! The extensions made for quick and easy makeup that I did myself on my wedding day, and having them has cut time off my "getting ready for the day" routine in the morning. I strongly recommend Kristen and eyelash extensions at the Beehive, worth every penny! read more

Amazing place! Seriously, the friendliest staff! They worked their schedule to get me in before a trip.. Best decision I have ever made! As far as pricing goes... For what you get - WORTH EVERY penny. Honestly, not expensive either way! A great investment for yourself! read more

I recently had the hot stone massage at The Beehive and it was the absolute best one I have ever had. I would definately recommended this place! The staff was very very friendly and accommodating. Especially the receptionist Jessica! Go check them out everyone. read more

Why don't they have any reviews? Because it's hair removal, silly, and none of us will admit to going there! I'm only outing myself as a customer because I accidentally missed my last appointment and I need to stay in their good graces. This place is the best for this beauty chore. They will wax your eyebrows but for other areas they do body sugaring. It lasts a lot longer than waxing. They also sell Dermalogica- the very best (but kind of expensive) skin care products and offer Dermalogica facials. read more

Kristen has wonderful credentials and made me feel very important when I first went to have permanent eye liner done. She was able to "correct" a bad prior job done by another person. I was told I would need to return in a month for touch-up (this was the end of November). I explained prior to the process that I would not be able to because I was going to be out of the area until the first part of February and with Kristen only being in the office one week a month -at the end of the month- so I couldn't get back until March 3rd -- I made my appointment. On my way there (I live 1 1/2 hr away), I got a phone call explaining because it had been so long she would have to charge me as if it was a new appointment and I'd have to pay full price - she couldn't do a touch up (that was included in the original price). I tried to explain this was all discussed prior to the process and was assured it would not be a problem - I could have easily postponed the process but didn't since it "would not be a problem". I'm very disappointed with the unprofessional way things were handled and feel I was lied to. After the first visit, I would have easily given this place a five star rating - now, I disappointed at the very least. I would suggest if there is anything agreed upon outside of the original plan - get it in writing! read more

Only went here because my daughter bought me a gift cert. Wasted my time. Just a poor overall experience from the get go for me :(
