I had been a customer there for more than a year, as every month I had an appointment but the one for last Saturday mysteriously disappeared. I called the salon on Friday to ask why I had not received the confirmation text and the lady told me that I had no appointment, not only that, I didn't even have an appointment for November, and both were scheduled in advance since August, I still have the confirmation on my cell. Can you imagine my frustration receiving that notice just a day before the appointment and having my nephew's wedding in seven days‍ ‍according to them their computer system was updated and in that process, they lost some information as appointments, which I don't believeI suggest you keep in touch with them if you don't want that to happen to you, especially if you are Hispanic I am. read more

Very nice office space. Customer service is ok. I have came here twice. First time I was told my hair was too short (she did attempt at least), but the following day my regular sugarist had no troubles removing the hair. So I returned for a second attempt, only because I have a $50 gift certificate to use. This return attempt was met with "we don't have a sugarist available, can you come back tomorrow?" Kristen West has done eyelash extensions for me at both the Albert Lea and Mason City locations, she is amazing! I was interested in getting eyelash extensions for my wedding day, as the glue-on temporary ones have never worked well for me. Kristen is so precise and thorough, I've never had so many compliments! The extensions made for quick and easy makeup that I did myself on my wedding day, and having them has cut time off my "getting ready for the day" routine in the morning. Kristen has wonderful credentials and made me feel very important when I first went to have permanent eye liner done. She was able to "correct" a bad prior job done by another person. I was told I would need to return in a month for touch-up (this was the end of November). I explained prior to the process that I would not be able to because I was going to be out of the area until the first part of February and with Kristen only being in the office one week a month -at the end of the month- so I couldn't get back until March 3rd -- I made my appointment. On my way there (I live 1 1/2 hr away), I got a phone call explaining because it had been so long she would have to charge me as if it was a new appointment and I'd have to pay full price - she couldn't do a touch up (that was included in the original price). I tried to explain this was all discussed prior to the process and was assured it would not be a problem - I could have easily postponed the process but didn't since it "would not be a problem". I'm very disappointed with the unprofessional way things were handled and feel I was lied to. After the first visit, I would have easily given this place a five star rating - now, I disappointed at the very least. I would suggest if there is anything agreed upon outside of the original plan - get it in writing! read more

Why don't they have any reviews? Because it's hair removal, silly, and none of us will admit to going there! I'm only outing myself as a customer because I accidentally missed my last appointment and I need to stay in their good graces. This place is the best for this beauty chore. They will wax your eyebrows but for other areas they do body sugaring. It lasts a lot longer than waxing. They also sell Dermalogica- the very best (but kind of expensive) skin care products and offer Dermalogica facials. read more
