I've been riding the bus for 6 years. I agree. The buses are sometimes as late as 45 min. I've learned it's a risk to ask the driver of the late bus any type of question pertaining to it being late. For those of us who rely on buses for medical appointments, work, etc, if there's a big change in bus arrival times or a change in routes, it's important that we ask the driver questions so that if there's been a change, we are able to make changes on our end. On another note, some of the drivers (rarely the men) can be very rude. Actually, some are downright hateful. It's as though they're boiling inside with rage. Just 10 min ago, I boarded the bus I ride at the same time daily. When I immediately saw the bus was not following the normal route, I thought I had accidentally boarded the wrong bus. I've been known to do that, so I walked up to the driver and asked, "Is this the #6?" The female driver responded with, "You got on the bus. YOU saw the number." ('Yes' would've taken SO MUCH LESS EFFORT!) I tried again, saying, "Well, I thought it was 6, but we're going down different streets." Waiting....,,. "So...is this the...are we having to take a detour?" The bus was now entering into an area which would no longer allow me to switch buses easily. At this point, If I was on the wrong bus, I'd arrive at my destination at least an hour late, and could expect to walk a mile to the appropriate bus stop. I was still standing up front next to the driver. Waiting. Then she said, "Can't you see that big 'ole truck down under that bridge?" I quickly looked to my left & then my right....in search of a big 'ole truck under a bridge. Because I possess the skill of "putting 2 & 2 together", her response put me more at ease; although, because I had not yet been able to locate a bridge NOR a big 'ole truck, I didn't feel I was out of the woods yet, so I put on my glasses for a look into the far distance. Nope. In my offense, I ALWAYS find Mario. By now, I'm thinking the same thing you probably are...'SURELY by now the driver would've told me if I was on the wrong bus!' So, I walked back to my seat & sat down. The bridge and big 'ole truck? It had been half a mile and 3 turns ago. No wonder! For the remainder of the ride, I put my phone in my bag, sat quietly...and thought. What makes a person do something like that? What could she possibly gain from it? She must be miserable! Trinity Metro - A person, boat, water - Public Transportation Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

They are an absolute failure in both hiring efficiency and basic customer support. Trinity Metro recruitment process is an absolute bottleneck. Their internal numbers show they automatically deny 80% of job applicants right out of the gate every month. Out of the 20% slice left over, they manage to a 5.5% per month and I mean a lot of those employees be miserable. A lot of them be rude and disrespectfu. The Trinity Metro claim they need workers, yet they systematically lock qualified local talent out of employment opportunities. To make matters worse, their customer service department is trash. If you call in to address an application discrepancy or a service issue, you will literally sit on hold for an hour and a half to 3 full hours just trying to speak to a live human being. This agency is completely disconnected from the public it is supposed to serve and work with. Its a heavyset Hispanic or Asian woman(I don't know what her race is, all I know is that she isn't black or white) that works in the Kiosk at 1001 Jones Street, she picks and chooses the customers that she shows respect too and the customers that she doesn't, and if you ask me she needs to be fired or disciplined. So I see why people hurry up and get their own vehicles so they won't have to deal with the Trinity Metro anymore. And for future job applicants don't apply for the Trinity Metro unless you want your time completely wasted. read more

This system is crappy and the higher ups do not give a sh!t. Busses are late or missing every day like clockwork. The drivers go uncaring and not reprimanded for it. They will literally spead up, leaving stops 5+ minutes early, just to stop at a gas station or fast food place for 20 minutes, making you late. The phone people have no clue and are very rude, the complaints go ignored. I have put in a complaint at least 3 times a week for the last 7 years and the most I've gottenfrom them is a free one day pass... Even the security is rude. They lock up at 9pm. At 8:54, I was stuck because the busses failed again, and I asked them where I could use a bathroom cause the doors were locked early. SECURITY TOLS ME TO PEE ON THE GROUND. Not kidding. 1 star is generous, -5 is to light even. Time to cancel city contracts and book a new transportation system. ​ read more

If I had a choice for my mother to have an affordable ride to dialysis, we would use a different mode of transportation/company. There are long wait times when you are trying to get a hold of a customer service agent. I have been hung up on. They don't come to the door like they are supposed to. We have 2 dogs and my mom has let them out sometimes when they are on the way. She tries to keep them inside, but forgets sometimes. When the dogs are not outside, there is still an issue with them going to the door to pick her up. They also cancel your ride pickup if you don't ride with them in the morning. If the customer doesn't cancel a ride and finds a way to get to their appointment, they should not be cancelling a return scheduled ride. I seem to have issues with them every month, read more

It has gotten progressively worse over time. Now they essentially have it as a Lyft service and im lucky if someone shows up to the station before the train arrives. I am disabled and standing outside in the heat for an hour is not good for my condition, which is exacerbated by heat. I do not understand why they took away the bus in between campuses, then took away the on demand vans, and are now essentially just Lyft. You are actively screwing over multiple people who have the audacity to not have a car or be unable to drive. I just want to get home in a normal amount of time. It should not take thirty minutes for a driver to show up, let alone when I get to the station. read more

The transit system in the Fort Worth area had more to offer than I expected. A train runs from the airport, and it is relatively new according to the local I spoke to. I believe it, as this was a nice modern-looking train that moved reasonably fast (though the fact that the tracks are single in areas means that trains running in opposite directions may have to wait for one another). Thankfully, it had restrooms and chargers on board (though with a USB port that is probably already in the process of obsolescence). I did use a bus in the city as well, which was a fine way to get from downtown to the arts district. I skipped peak rush hour so nothing was overly crowded. Using the same app that Dallas uses, I was able to buy a ticket for the entire Fort Worth area for a day for $5, which is a pretty good deal. It's not the most extensive system once you get to Fort Worth, but overall the transit options within this system were helpful and cost-effective. read more

A quick review of the downtown Fort Worth bus service, Trinity Metro. Today was my second time riding the bus. The first time I rode, I just took a short trip on the #2 bus from 6th and Throckmorton to the 7th Street Target area. There are no rules for the bus, but I figured out that you have to pull a yellow rope before the stop or the driver may not stop at your destination. I had to keep my eyes glued to my app to know approximately when my stop was coming up, since I'm new to the bus routes. Today's ride was a terrible experience. I decided to ride from downtown to Central Market grocery store which involved a bus change from #2 to #52. This time, no stops were announced and the bus display of stops was inoperable. So I relied totally on google maps to show me which bus stops were coming up. I arrived at the Central Market grocery store stop without incident. Coming back was entirely different. The bus did not arrive. I waited more than 30 minutes while checking the Go Pass app and Google maps. Finally there was a notice on Go Pass that some buses may not be arriving and the app "suggested" I walk to Camp Bowie and Sanguinet. Twenty minutes later I was dripping with sweat (the humidity was quite high) but happy to be at a place where I would no longer need to walk. (Thank goodness I only bought bread at Central Market.) Then, after waiting around 15 minutes, the #2 bus blew by me in a cloud of dust. It literally never slowed down. I was so astonished as I was clearly standing within several feet of the bus pole and there were no obstructions blocking me from being seen. Fifteen minutes later, another #2 bus picked me up. In looking back at these two experiences, I've learned two things. Better leave 2 hours early for any appointments, bring a hat, and some water. Trinity Metro is nice to have available but it's somewhat unreliable. And what's up with the bus drivers not stopping when someone is clearly waiting at a stop? That's just odd. read more

I took my small grandchildren on a trip using the train and zip zone. I had used them in the past, but that was the past. The train was fine but getting the zip zone was a nightmare. Different apps for different uses and customer service in India isn't great. Was charged twice for services. They have really done downhill from not being that great in the first place...I'm trying to use public transportation but it's hard when they make it so difficult. read more
