Last took the Greyhound roughly thirteen years ago. Buying a ticket, checking in luggage, and the overall trip was very smooth and hassle-free. The only complaint was all the stops made in between Fort Worth and Houston and the actual length of time for the trip. At least someone else was driving, and I could sleep the time away or read. Don't take if you're looking for a quick way to get anywhere; however, using the service is very economical. read more

My son is on tour with marching band. First time away from home. He told me to book Sunday morning. Turns out there is no accommodations Sat night. So I IMMEDIATELY call to move the reservation to a late night Sat bus that is cheaper. I am told I have to pay $35. I don't have that currently. There are apparently no exceptions. There are no corporate office to call. There are no offices in the U.S. I explained that my son was barley 18 and it was his first time away from home, and that I couldn't leave him without a safe place alone in Indianapolis all night. I asked my options. I was told I had none. I said you and your company are not concerned about the safety of a young person? He answered"that's right". I was appalled. I asked again. "Greyhound doesn't care about the safety of a kid traveling? He repeated..."that's right". The said they couldn't help. They can't control the computer. That I could cancel if I wanted. But that still would cost the same amount. Absolutely NO concern or customer service. I have never in 40 years been blatantly told that the customer does not matter. Please do not book with Greyhound. And DEFINITELY do not trust them to ensure your children's safe travel. I called immediately after booking. And was shook down for $40 I didn't have at the expense of my son's safety. Shame on this company EDIT- Supervisor Himae took it up on himself to reach out and solve my son's travel issue. I understand that they have policies but he took the time to listen and help me get my son home safe. It's employees like this that make the corporate world still run. I really don't know where to start. I was very disappointed and shocked by the actions of certain personnel at the Fort Worth terminal. Tall security for one. Telling me I had to sit in the smoking area and I don't smoke. That I had to sit in there and wait for the bus while HE and three others were in there smoking. He was bothered I stood up and left again and he told me I had to stay there. No I don't. I don't smoke and you were jeopardizing my health with your smoke and making my clothes smell. It's one am and who could I tell? Right!?! Ridiculous. When the 1:25 am bud finally arrived at 2:30 am I was reluctant to get on. The female driver was NOT in a good mood and showed it. Being disabled I was expecting to sit in the disabled seats. Well her suit case sat there until Abilene but luckily a passenger got up to give me his seat behind her. Bus driver told me she would allow me to sit there as long as I didn't disturb her. I mean really??? Why would I disturb her? It's 2:30 am and I'm exhausted and expecting a 11 hour journey to El Paso. Well 13 hours later we got there. We get to Abilene and she gets into a disagreement with the next driver because she pulled in wrong. Omg. This guy was in need of a life. Rude but he drove the bus. If I could I'd give ZERO!!! Especially when traveling to Mexico do not use this bus line bought tickets for parents and on the way there when they got to Monterrey they dropped them off and let them fend for themselves there's no more grayhound after that, they had to board a different bus line (Mexican bus line) after an entire night in the terminal, and were given new schedules even for return. When it was time to return they get to Juarez and they told them they needed to spend two days there because there were no buses and they were late when in actuality they had just pulled up to the terminal via the new schedule given in Monterrey and bus so they want them to buy new tickets or spend almost if not two nights at the terminal of juarez until next bus.. we spent $900 on those tickets just for them to have to deal with all this BS!! read more

10:05pm As a parent I am very displeased with Greyhound. Today is January 14, 2018 and 2 buses have had traveling problems. My two son's are on these buses. The first bus was to arrive at 6:20 am in San Fernando, California but it never arrived. Your representatives said they would have to catch the next bus at 1:20pm. The second bus they got on at 1:20pm drove two hours and the bus broke down in Avenal, California at a road stop. Right now ( 6 hours later ) they are still waiting for a bus to arrive. Right now, I am on the phone with a greyhound representative and they are telling us the bus is in Oakland. Your rep's are lying because my boys are telling us they are at a rest stop near Avenal, California broken down. They are 2 hours away from where they originally left at Los Angeles. It's 11:20 pm, I am still talking to a manager and she cannot locate the exact location of the bus. The bus tracker say's it is on the way to San Francisco, but our son's are saying the bus is not moving. It is parked at a road stop outside of Avenal, California. We are hearing that the bus driver is having a hard time communicating to the nearest station. The bus diver is now frustrated because these paying customers are yelling and screaming at her. The next stop is San Francisco for their 2nd bus transfer to which they have to wait outside of the station because the station will not be open when they arrive at 4:00am. The next bus leaving is 2:45pm Monday to transfer to Eureka, California, when originally the should have been at their Eureka destination at 5am. We are now hearing that if the bus is full they will have to wait for the next available bus after 2:45. Greyhound should have backup driver's in case these emergencies happen. They should have sent an extra bus to help my boys and the customer's to get to their destination quicker. Greyhound company needs to have a better way for your rep's to communicate with other stations or your rep's need to be better trained. We are extremely mad that your rep's are lying to us. What kind of company let's bus bus load of paying customer's sit for 6 hours and let's their rep's make up lies. I would like a reply back from the CEO Dave Leach and a refund. I have sent a complaint to the CEO and corporate office, but I have "NOT" heard a reply back. For someone in the corporate office a person would think someone would call back to apologize and say, " We at Greyhound have sent an extra bus to help our paying customers to get to their destination faster". I paid for my brothers ticket to come from Arkansas to Texas. The bus was 5 HOURS late !!! Not 30 mins to a hour. And then they had a lay over supposedly for a hour, that turned to 3 hours. Folks don't take a bus unless you expect a 16 hour ETA on a otherwise 5 hour trip. He was at the station at 830am and won't get to his destination til 1am. Unreal. Tickets go from a 118 quote to 156 within 30 mins of a callback. No refunds and a lot of BS excuses. Never again. read more

my family that took me to the greyhound bus station in Lubbock Tx. Where I got I got onto the bus 7071 that was disgusting!!! Trash every were! Full fountain cups with broken off tops that was in holders from past riders. The bathroom toilet was completely full to the top and gross !!! The bus smells bad of urination ! The WiFi didn't work but said you were connected!! Greyhound bus driver was very rude to all the passengers as we entered the bus. Then from the point of take off had a shack to the point your whole body was shacking in your seat rapidly as then the bus started having engine or drive train issues with in a hour of leaving Lubbock terminal the bus was hesitant and the driver was having trouble keeping the bus straight. blew a tire at approximately 1:45 and kept driving on it for 15 minutes as he swerved all over the road. As I told him from the start of the tire blowout he just lost a tire as he kept going and swerving!! Then as we asked him what we'd have to do to catch our next bus he said well you'll just be missing it. Then the driver charged towards me, as if he was going to attack me or something which made me fear for my safety-as I tried to get details on how to get to my destination!! As he continued to talk very aggressively to me !!!! We all told him we couldn't hear barley a word he was saying and he continued to be rude and aggressive towards me and anyone who asked anything!!! This is all just before 2am then he called someone (roadside idk) an then gave us an update that we'd have someone here to fix the rear right tire in 1.5-2 hours!! He did not get here till 6:15 am and just got going to start working on the blow out at 6:30 am on the repair which means I nor anyone will make there transfer! Then once I got off at 6:30 because the tire still wasn't fixed!!! So I got off to ride with another passengers daughter that came to get her because her train left this morning at 11am and the next one wasn't for Twitter days later if she missed it !!!! So I get there in Fort Worth and barely get onto bus 86222 that I find out was delayed 7 hours due to the same issue an was talking on the phone with my brother that dropped me off at the Lubbock station at 11pm yesterday!!! So I was telling him what happened to me and then this Driver was rude as heck -got on the load speaker well I was on the phone with my brother talking to me which I was right behind him telling me he didn't want to hear my problems and if I had issues to talk to the Boss's once we get into Dallas cause he didn't want to hear it then he decided to get on the load speaker again and repeat him self again only 2 minutes later!! After purchasing an oversized toy for my two year old granddaughter, I was shocked to find out the cost of shipping it from Texas to Utah. I remembered my Aunt used Greyhound Bus freight to transport packages so I called them. The cost was very reasonable and it got to its destination in 3 days. Greyhound. The time you ask yourself how you ended up sitting next to the only loud and obnoxious person on the bus! This location is a city stop and is within walking distance from anything downtown, including being conveniently close to public transit. It is an indoor station and one of the nicest ones at that! There is a business office inside to buy tickets. Customer service is professional and friendly. It is also very clean and modernized. Overall, this Greyhound stop is one of the nicest bus stops I've ever been to. read more

I was at DFW airport on 7/2/21 when American Airlines canceled a record 200 flights. Only option was to get a bus ticket since the next flight home was 3 days later. Bought 2 tickets to Wichita, KS. cost $391.98 Ubered to Ft. Worth Greyhound station at 11:30pm for bus that was supposed to be there at 2:25am. Uber dropped us off at Central Station only to find bus station locked up. Spoke to a homeless person that was sleeping on the bench with their dog who would have attacked me if the person hadn't grabbed her dog and she said the bus just stops in the parking lot, the station is closed due to Covid and it's only open for a few hours during the day. I had checked Greyhounds website and Central Stations websites both said the station opens at 11:30pm said nothing about being closed due to Covid, sites still has regular hours posted. Waited for the bus outside 2:25am no bus shows up. I call Greyhound and they say the bus is running at least 2 hours late and they don't really know when it's going to get there. I've been a firefighter/paramedic for 34years and been in some very uncomfortable situations before but this took the top spot, I was scared for my wife's safety. So we walked a block to the hotel across the street payed $200 for a hotel we stayed at for 7 hours after we called my stepson @ 3 am who drove 6 and half hours from Wichita to pick us up. A starting point for a 48 hour Greyhound trip to Boston, I must say it's a relief that this station was the point of origin. The terminal is very clean and modern and large, with flat screen TVs, and unlike so many other terminals, is air conditioned. I might add this is also an Amtrak, Star Alliance T and bus depot station (Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center). They even have lockers, which is nice in an age when so many other places have done away with them. The ticket agents were extremely friendly and helpful, which in a Greyhound station is almost unheard of. One of the better ones I've ever been to. read more

Stopped into this station on a Greyhound layover. Super nice and clean facility. It was about 103 outside and the exceptional air conditioning inside was an unexpected treat. There is a subway inside the station, which also is a hub for Amtrak and a couple other bus lines. Lots of corners out of the way to slip into for a quick nap, and lots of power outlets spread out to charge electronics. read more

Place is clean, roomy, and the staff seems friendly. Of course this was also on a Sunday morning, so take that into consideration too. TVs, pay phones, free wifi, plenty of seating and floor space. There's also several vending machines and designated smoking areas outside, but close enough you won't miss your bus. read more

I would give them 0 star if I could. I took a round trip from Fort Worth, TX to Austin, TX and BOTH TRIPS WERE DELAYED FOR 7-8 HOURS. Their employees were rude to us, we were taken on different buses and trips were reschedule multiple times. It was just horrible!!! Then they told me to call their customer service. Called their customer service and every time they made me wait and made me call back 3 TIMES for NOTHING! I'm beyond furious. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANOTHER TICKET FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more
