Two of my friends and I walked in and saw it was a fairly busy Saturday night for this place at 6pm. A lot of tables were full and so were most bar seats. Checked out each bar and tried to find the one that seemed the least busy. As we stood at the second floor bar for longer and longer, we noticed the bartender was not paying attention to her customers in the slightest, but she was closing her checks, texting, and also juuling. As she closed checks we even noticed she was typing on her phone and then writing things on each receipt. We tried to wait as we knew there was probably a lot going on, however she noticed us a couple times and unfortunately did not come over to us. This female bartender served the male customers directly adjacent to us, but she merely glanced at my group. It was not until the bartender's coworker standing next to us heard our conversation about leaving that the coworker finally called the bartender over to grab our drinks. Very upsetting as it seemed like it could have been a fun and sociable place, but more than anything disappointed in the lack of professionalism we witnessed. read more

Upon discovering this place was really a Turkish prison disguised as a bar which is run by sorority girls, I decided it was better than Boylan. Not only was I able to engage in dance floor make out on my 22nd birthday, but I also found the permanently out of order toilet in the mens bathroom accommodating for throwing up in. read more

Classic restaurant and bar at UVA! Was able to meet my Bumble date in a casual setting and have a lively atmosphere to hang out in. Trinity did an amazing job with making us feel super safe with COVID. read more

As a restaurant, the food is overpriced and not very good. The waitress are mostly sorority girls who hate their jobs. As a bar, the drinks are overpriced, the bouncers are mostly drunk and volatile. Not the best bar or restaurant on the corner. read more

When I went to Trinity Pub I expected a college bar and that is exactly what I got. When we entered it was shoulder-to-shoulder packed with co-eds looking to drink after a week of academics. I had no intentions to buy food and I don't think anyone else did either. The dark paint along the walls added to the very euro-club feel. Where the real fun is had is on the balcony over looking much of "the corner". A great place to sit back, rip a few cigs, and talk to those below. Workers at Trinity seemed busy and hard at work. They couldn't help that they were most likely at capacity for many hours that night and they did well to help these college students who were fiending for booze. All in all trinity at night is for college students, I can't attest to the daytime scene. read more

Oh Trinity..other than the big dance floor and huge TV for watching Premiere League soccer this bar leaves a lot to be desired. The food is subpar, and the drink selection though vast is the priciest on the corner for the smallest portions. Their pitchers aren't even real pitchers...and guiness in a plastic cup?! Blasphemy. Trinity pub is a Corner staple and beloved local watering hole of UVA students (coming from a third year undergraduate). With 3 floors of bars and seating, there is plenty of space to enjoy the lively atmosphere at Trinity on weekends, nights, and UVA game days. The pub's weekend brunch is a must featuring, my personal favorites, the breakfast burrito and the TABLE (tomato, avocado, bacon, lettuce, & egg). In addition to the indoor space, the patio and 2nd floor balcony make for great warm weather afternoons with a stein and spinach-artichoke dip. Bottom line: if you're coming to UVA's Corner, do yourself a favor and stop by Trinity. read more

We were on a college visit and wanted to check out some local eating places. We were there for lunch and Trinity was excellent! Great service, wonderful location, and the food was fantastic. We had the pulled pork, pub burger and the southwestern chicken wrap. All were excellent and the fries are mouth watering. read more

This is the secret place to go during off nights. While other surrounding locations are packed to the gills, you can walk into Trinity without a problem since it has 3 floors of bars. No more bruised elbows trying to get a drink. Great location and a great time, highly recommend for a drink while on the Corner. read more

don't be fooled, there's nothing "irish" about this place. okay, they listed curry and chips on the menu... but had no curry sauce. i stopped there for lunch and ordered the chicken fingers and a salad. my meal was really quite good, and only ran me $5 since it was a special. other than that, however, it was pretty mediocre. my friend ordered a burger and cheese fries. the cheese fries came right away and were alright, but NOT worth the $7 they charged. the burger took 30 minutes longer. so, two stars because of the uneven and unpredictable quality of food, the mediocre selection, and high prices except for the happy-hour special. read more

I went there for lunch and it was sub par. No one else was there and I could understand why. All the food felt like it was cooked in a very oily, unwashed skillet. The waiters were kind of rude as the reviews said. The items were ridiculously pricey considering they were not good. read more

I have eaten lunch here several times over the years, and I feel like I'm qualified to say the food is maddeningly inconsistent. When it's good, it is really good, but sometimes your hot sandwich comes out cold and the fries are obviously the last of the batch made an hour ago. What is consistent is the absolute lack of attention paid by the wait staff. They would rather spend their time talking to each other or random people who pop in than pay attention to paying customers. read more

Your standard college bar. Lots of open areas for people to dance. And coming from DC, you welcome the fact that a round of drinks costs $30. Open areas for when the weather is nice. I had the steak sandwich, it was really good, an 8 oz steak with onions and other goodies on some great bread. I thought the price was great for the quality. Everyone in my group said the food was excellent as well. The service was a little slow and their knowledge of drinks wasn't great but I don't think that was a huge deal. Avoid busy nights when school is in session (unless you're a student), but otherwise a good place for drinks or to watch sports. It's not a traditional Irish pub by any stretch, think of it more as a well-renovated college bar. There are a few different bars inside, so it's possible to get a drink even when it's crowded. Good amount of TV's upstairs and downstairs. For food, I've had the BBQ Sandwich and fries, no complaints and pretty cheap. read more

Trinity must stand for, "Three Strikes, You're Out!" I just attempted to go there for lunch. I say, "attempted," because after waiting for 25-minutes for my lunch to arrive, the fish was raw in the center (ice cold in the center) and was not edible. I did not have time to wait for them to recook anything. Observations from today are on par for my past three experiences: The wait staff seem more interested in hanging out with each other at the front as you come into the restaurant chatting about the latest gossip and hookups of the day than in taking care of patrons. No brand vodka, gin or tequila and the house brands they served my group were watery at best. No quality control on food--either burned or raw...there seems to be no in-between temperature for their cook(s). The ONLY reason I am giving a two instead of a one is that their fries are tasty and the portion size is good for the price. read more

Fantastic bar food we stumbled across while in town for the John Meyer concert. I went to UVA and graduated several years ago. I'd like to tip my hat to this place for how they transformed my old and dumpy O'Neill's that used to occupy the space back in the days. Great service and delicious food! Came during UVA students' winter break (not very busy) but our waitress was cute, sweet, knowledgeable and recommended the Crab Cake and Chicago(pub?) rolls, and yum was she right!! Would recommend those to anyone. Although not a very "Irish" pub, our Guinness' were great and the inside has a nice cozy pub feel, great music selection too. Overall would definitely visit again for the food, good service (plus her smart conversation) and atmosphere. read more

Haven't been here late night as I'm told its the place to be. Stopped by for lunch because of the alluring open door pation right on the corner good for people watching. Service was horrible. Drinks took forever(it was not busy) and the waitress seemed to want to chat with the person at the bar (manager? Boyfriend? ) Instead of paying attention to us as customers. Burger was ok, nothing spectacular. The bread was so soggy that it fell to pieces when picked up. I'll try somewhere else next time. read more

I had lunch at Trinity today and there was only one other group there around 1 pm. I ordered the grilled chicken club sandwich. The chicken was so rubbery I couldn't chew half the sandwich. When I told the waitress she said "I will let the cook know" without any attempt to get me a new sandwich or refund my meal. Not only is the food here bad but the service is terrible. Okay, I probably have no street cred, having eaten here with my prospective-student daughters...but we really liked it. Grilled cheese with bacon and fries were all perfect. Atmosphere is what I expect (and remember from my own experience) from a college town...a bit run-down, but friendly, college student (I assume) servers, and yes, there is great TV viewing for the crazy soccer fans. We'd come back, but reading the other reviews, not at night...unless my daughter gets into UVA, in which case in guessing she'd come at night, which I'll try hard not to think about. read more

Beer heads unite. Great selection on scotch and Irish whiskey -12yr old Jameson is special. Bartender turned us onto a small batch vodka from Iceland Raykva, I believe that is how it is spelled. Open air seating when to weather is nice. Directly across the street form campus. Very cool destination. The staff is awesome. Burgers are huge. read more

I was just at Trinity recently, not only is the burger delicious, but that Chicago pub rolls and those hand-cut fries are addicting! Hands down, the best Guinness in town! Not to mention, the server was friendly and attentive. read more
